I enjoy the Essex house. The maintenance is quick and friendly, staff is helpful, and the pool and grounds are beautiful. Parking is plentiful. Central market access from pedestrian gate. My only suggestion would be to update gym and the coffee shop. Otherwise I recommend to all!

Great location. Great parking. Quiet neighbors. However, the blinds do not prevent lots of light at night. Need to work on this. The gym is nice to have. So far I've msinly used it for yoga. The whole move process was not kind to my back! The staff are friendly. And, helpful.

I have been living here for over 3 years and I like living here a lot! Great location and surprisingly quiet. The maintenance teams respond fast. The management team takes good care of the property as well. I also never felt unsafe here.

In a great neighborhood for a decent price. It’s not too expensive in comparison to other complexes in the same area. Roaches are a big problem. Pest control doesn’t get rid of them, if you can get pest control to even show up. Maintenance will lie about coming.

Great place to live in the heart of River Oaks in Houston! I enjoy the beautiful grounds, pools, Click Cafe, dog parks, and Amazon Lockers. The office staff is responsive and maintenance is as well. I had a bug issue which was resolved after spraying around our area. The grounds are very well kept and lush. I love the high ceilings in my apartment with my fireplace. The price is unbeatable. We love engaging with the office staff and the parties/gatherings they have each month. Thanks!

Essex House has been our home since 2016 and is truly our home! We are here because of the on site management. We are safe, the grounds are beautifully kept up, management is always there for us with maintenance ( a great crew!!), holiday get togethers with really great food etc. We could go on and on! Great location as well, with Central Market literally 3 minutes walk away! Bottom line: we are very very happey here!

Very happy with location of community. The grounds and garden areas are well taken care of, as are the common areas. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Everything here is perfect. The staff has been exceptional since the day I came to tour to the day I moved in. I’m truly happy with choosing this place to call my home
I just moved in and everything seems really great so far! I was able to get my keys easily and set up all the apps necessary to get into all the doors and gates
Overall, it has being a good experience. Just a note to the leasing office personnel as they can/should be more friendly and resourceful to the residents.

The move in to the Apartment Complex Essex, has certainly been easier than most other apartment complexes, Post move, I’ve noticed that the complex is very quiet, very calm and VERY peaceful, so far my experience here has been well.

I’ve been staying here for the past two years and I’ve been enjoying living here very much! I feel safe and I had not had any issues. If there are any they get addressed promptly. The property is nice and clean, and the staff as well as my neighbors are friendly.

Excellent maintenance staff and grounds are very well kept. My friend had her car broken into on the Gael side though, and they are still awaiting a response from management. I had a roach problem when I moved in but I solved this with baits and traps. Other than that everything has been good here.

The place is very quiet and nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is also full of things to do, I enjoyed the Memorial Park and the markets close by.

I’ve been living here for 6 years and this is a perfect place to call home. Office staffs are all very kind and responsive. Maintenance is done right away. The management is always taking care of this community well. Very safe area and I have no worries living with a small child.

Location location location! Being able to walk over to Central Market and having easy access to so many great places to eat and shop is amazing. The pools are great and the little cafe is a nice bonus. The gym is great even though it could use a tiny bit of TLC and everyone here is super friendly. I have zero complaints after 6 months and will happily be renewing my lease when it's time.

Wonderful area, great staff, helpful maintenance. Central Market being nextdoor is amazing! The engagement from management is very nice and I appreciate the Amazon lockers. The landscaping is beautiful and the amenities are nice, including the pools! I've deducted one star because I've had a roach issue in my apartment :( we had pest control come and we've used our own traps and baits but we still have an issue :( hopefully in time things will settle down.

It is very clean and situated close to where I need to go. The grocery store; a pharmacy, gas station, and easy access to The Texas Medical Center. I can sit on my balcony and get fresh air.
Management and maintenance are truly wonderful here. Outstanding people who do their best in all respects. My wife and I saw appreciate everyone here.
Thr apartment complex is very old and it does show in the plumbing. You can hear every little thing between the walls and hear people walking up to their apartment. You can hear when the neighbors take showers. It's very annoying, especially if they shower frequently at bed time hours or early mornings.
The community is very good, but it has become quite expensive.
Location of community is very convenient to shopping and leisure activities
Excellent location, quiet, clean, decent price for the area. Having lived here for multiple disasters (Hurricane Harvey, Winter Storm Uri), I fared much much better than many around the city in terms of safety and working facilities. Also the accessibility for guests. It was adequately secure, but not like Fort Knox level of some complexes I have been to, which I personally find excessive. I didn't have to unlock several different gates/doors just to have a friend over.

The apartment units themselves are well designed and in a good location. The only think I wish was improved was the cleanliness/upkeep of the halls and the outdoor areas. The halls could use a power wash and the gates need to be repainted/repaired. The gate to the HEB no longer has a lock of any kind so anyone can get in if they want to.
