The apartments themselves are modern and stylish, with high ceilings, large windows, and open layouts that make the space feel bright and airy. I especially appreciate the polished concrete floors and industrial loft vibe, which give the place a unique character. The amenities are solid, too—the pool and fitness center are well-kept, and the package lockers make receiving deliveries hassle-free. Management and maintenance have been responsive and helpful. Any minor issues I had when moving in were addressed quickly, which was a relief. One thing to note is that parking can get a bit tight during peak hours, and you can occasionally hear your neighbors, but that’s pretty typical for loft-style living. If you’re looking for a modern apartment in a convenient Houston location with a true loft feel, Sawyer Heights Lofts is a great choice. I’d definitely recommend checking it out if you want a mix of city living and comfort.

I like living here, the location is extremely convenient and the floor plans are spacious. That being said, there are a few vices. This location is not immune to the typical houston thing that happen in apartments, such as bugs, theft in the parking garage, and obnoxious people. I have a feeling they are about to raise prices due to a few “upgrades” they’ve made, such as replacing the garage door with one that is no more useful than the previous and still allows people to tailgate in and steal the tires off of peoples cars, or adding a few pieces of marble laminated plywood to the elevators and calling them “luxury”. Nonetheless, this is an alright place to live if you like convenience.

I love how pet friendly this community is! Everytime I go out to walk my dog Rocket, the other residents (my neighbors ??) live on him like he’s family. I just moved in and this really makes me feel welcomed. All of the staff here have been very attentive and helpful. I haven’t rented in many years and a lot has changed, but they helped me navigate the new way with grace. This property is beautiful and very secure and safe. I am SO happy to be here!

It's been a fairly good experience living at SHL. The staff is very friendly and most of the building is kept pretty clean. However, there are a few exceptions. The same elevator in the parking garage is almost always out of service; the stairwells smell like urine; the hallways always smell of marijuana, despite many complaints; and the appliances in the apartments are very old and outdated. My dishwasher and washing machines are so loud, you can't hear yourself think, and if you're watching TV, you have to turn the volume way up. The sliding glass door is hard to open and close (again very old) and the handle is a thin piece of metal that is hard to grip.

I honestly miss living here. Would recommend living here if new to Houston. Everyone is super nice the building is really safe and secure. All the workers and maintenece are extremely helpful, especially Nancy who was always there to make sure we were taken care of.

Sawyer Heights Lofts is a great place to live. I’ve lived there for 10 years so obviously, I would certainly recommend SHL for anyone looking for an apartment in the Central Part of the City/Heights area. It's going on 5 years and counting.it's a great community to live in. Great management employees and very professional. Right now in negotiation for another 14 months It all depends if it could be negotiated. A excellent place to live

The facility is clean, the service staff is very nice and management is responsive. There is a nice spectrum of age, race and gender demographics as well. Neighbors have been very mindful of the right time/place to work vs. play.

Friendliest staff I've encountered at an apartment complex. Apartment is in a super walkable area, everything you need is within a 5-10 minute walk.

Love living here, all staff is so friendly and helpful and the units are nicely kept. Do not like living next to the pool for noise reasons, see people smoking and acting like its a nightclub out there all the time

Location is great but sadly the construction on white oak is really inconveniencing to go west bound on i-10 and hearing constant construction. The building is beautiful and they have been doing plenty of upgrades to make it great.

moving in was tedious because the parking garage does not fit a normal u-haul!!! be advised its easier to borrow a normal pickup truck and make trips, or move everything to a storage unit nearby slowly. moving in is a slow, all-day event that is painful because there is no freight elevator. the appliances are nothing special, and neither are the amenities but the price reflects that. good apartment and good price where you only pay for what you actually use, (the gym and pool) and not being charged extra for a "game room" that no one uses.

I really do like my apartment and the people in the leasing office are genuinely nice. But the way management has handled security issues has been frustrating and unacceptable. My $600 bike was stolen—while locked—from the bike rack inside a locked parking garage that supposedly has 24-hour security. I’ve asked multiple times for the security footage and have been completely ignored. They won’t show it to me and they’ve done nothing to make it right. Instead, they spent thousands of dollars installing a cage around the bike racks after my bike was stolen, clearly acknowledging there’s a problem—but they’ve never offered to compensate me or even acknowledge that my bike being stolen matters. On top of that, my unit used to be the show unit, so random people constantly steal my assigned parking spot. I’ve been understanding and haven’t towed anyone, but when I park in a different spot that doesn’t block anyone, they threaten to ticket me. Meanwhile, I’ve had five Amazon packages stolen, and after six months I still don’t have access to an Amazon locker. It seems like they only enforce rules when it’s convenient for them, not when it comes to actually protecting residents or their property. If I’m paying premium rent, I expect more than silence and inaction when my things are stolen inside what’s supposed to be a secure facility. I didn’t move here to worry about everything I own getting stolen while management shrugs.

Please know that, for the safety and privacy of all our residents, we are unable to release or allow viewing of security footage without a court subpoena presented to the appropriate authorities. This policy is in place to protect the privacy of everyone in our community, and unfortunately, we’re unable to make exceptions. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our limited access and deter these types of incidents, the addition of the bike room was a direct action to provide residents with a more secure space for their bicycles. We hope you’re able to see the value in this amenity and take advantage of it moving forward. Regarding the issue of vehicles parking in your designated space, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly to our management office so we can assist you promptly. Our team is always here to help address these matters as they occur. Please refrain from parking in drive ways that prevent access to dumpsters and major safety equipment such as the fire pump. Lastly, while we are unable to compensate residents for incidents caused by others outside of our control, your renters insurance may offer coverage for personal property loss. We encourage you to file a claim with your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Again, we sincerely apologize for the negative experience you’ve had and appreciate your feedback. Sawyer Heights Lofts is great community with a just as great property management team. In my short time, the entire team has been making value adding improvements while maintaining excellent conditions throughout the property. It’s also an amazing location with proximity to many local businesses.

The Leasing Office Team is great! I love being at Sawyer Heights because they call me by my name and ask how I am. They are super friendly and personable. The maintenance team is so quick to help with any orders submitted, something within 15 min of submitting the request and are professional and friendly. The residents too are great and really personable. I've lived in many apartments and hands down this is the best experience I've had in a community before. Overall great place to live! Wish there was a better recycling program on each floor. Still trying to figure out how to let delivery people into the building. Love the amenities.
