South Weymouth is the former site of a Naval Air Station, which served to prevent submarine patrolling of the nation’s coasts and harbors during World War II, with the use of blimps or airships. Now, the former Naval Air Station has been redeveloped into Union Point—a vibrant, expanding live-work-play space with residential, retail, and commercial properties.
