Extending north from the Navy Yard between Capitol Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, Capitol Riverfront is one of DC's fastest-growing neighborhoods. The place is beautiful but bug roaches are a problem that and smells from people dogs and not being cleaned up. The roaches though even though they will pest control your apartment and will work mostly the building is still infested, mainly on the rooftop which gets horrible as soon as it gets dark.

I have enjoyed living here, the spaces are clean and people are respectful. I would like more security in the fitness area/amentities so that it is only residents. We have wrist bands but it's not being enforced

I notice residents have no patience and feel entitled to access to the building. For example, using the elevator this Friday several residents disrespected me while I was transporting packages to my apartment using the dolly. I waited patiently for the elevator but for some reason several residents felt the need to go in front of me on the elevator and disrespect me knowing I was waiting for the elevator first. I just want to say as politely and as respectful as I can. I hope it doesn't happen again.

New wristbands for amenity spaces. Hasn’t gone over well. If you forget your wristband you have to leave the space. Very annoying considering how much we pay to live here. Leasing staff have also lost the personal touch. They don’t take the time to greet anyone or get to know the residents.

I have not lived in the apartment yet, however, I am really excited to live here especially the swing pool it looks really good. But it seems that the water leak problem happen often.

Application process was frustrating due to inadequate response time from management team. Still do not have access to my room or elevator on move-in day after I had paid my rent and was all set to move in. Besides the application and move-in process, the amenities are great and the faculty have been very helpful. Everyone is super friendly and as a single woman in early 30s I feel very safe living here. Easy package pick up and awesome location in Navy yard to Whole Foods, Metro, Parks, and waterfront.

They now require wristbands to use the gym/roof and if you forget it then they literally kick you out. Water is constantly shut off and when you turn it back on it’s brown. Cell phone service is terrible and there are hundreds of bugs on the roof

The front desk is so nice and patient to answer all my questions and they are always there. The flat is super nice and perfectly fits all my requirements especially the security system and how clean this flat is.

Everything has been great minus the amount of time the elevators have been down and the frequency the spa has been out of operation. Aside from that this place is fantastic.

The Crossing is conveniently located and offers great amenities. The price point for finishes and the hike at lease renewal is quite dissatisfying. Lastly, the cockroach infestation in warmer months and residents having their dogs potty everywhere brings the value of living here down.

Move in process was not at all smooth- no instructions day of, still no Wi-Fi or any information about how to get it. Constantly told we will get a call back. Our floor is leaking. Parking also isn’t available and on a 14 person waitlist. Overall super unhappy about everything so far

Crossing is great - can’t say enough about the amenities, really top notch compared to most other buildings in DC. Reason why I gave them 4/5 stars is I referred my friend to tour and he subsequently signed a lease yet I didn’t receive any kind of referral bonus like they claim.

If you don’t mind taking lukewarm showers then you’ll love living here. I loved it here until a few months ago when the hot water started to become an issue. It’s been “fixed” but it’s never been the same. Every day my shower water is just meh and the pressure sucks. I re-signed my lease over the summer because I was so happy here! Now I can’t wait for my lease to expire. If I’m going to pay over $2000/month for less than 500 square ft, I’d at least hope for a hot shower. I’m guessing I can find it elsewhere.

I really don’t want to write a bad review because it means I’ve made a bad investment—and I still have 12 more months to live with it. This building is visually impressive. The amenities, lobbies, event spaces, gym, and apartments all seem fantastic—on the surface. Issues: • Steam room • Cleanliness of the wellness suite • Apartments sharing air • Improper ventilation • Frequent loss of hot water Someone is letting this building fall apart. Since we moved in less than three months ago, the building has been plagued with recurring hot water issues. Even today, there’s no hot water, despite the boiler company supposedly fixing it just two days ago. The apartments do share air. Before signing my lease, I specifically asked if the units shared air circulation and was told they did not. However, I’ve come home to find my living room smelling like someone just smoked a joint. Security is slow to respond, and the leasing team is very upfront about their inability to enforce the no-smoking policy. The amenities, like the wellness suite, look great during a tour. But once you actually use them, it becomes clear they aren’t cleaned nearly enough. People have even written messages in the grime on the pool tiles—like dirt on a car window—just to see if it would get cleaned. It hasn’t. The dry sauna is also filthy; sit inside, and you’ll quickly notice just how dirty the windows are. The steam room hasn’t worked in two months. When we first moved in, the apartment’s ventilation was very strong—almost too much. Now, the vents barely circulate air. Boiling a pot of water or preheating the oven is enough to set off the smoke alarms. I suspect this is also why we’re now experiencing more air-sharing issues; when the vents were stronger, the smell of other people’s weed was much less noticeable. Management has been “fixing” these issues for months now. It’s time for them to actually fix it.

It is good. The sink produces drinkable water. One feature I like is that the floors support my weight. The windows are see through, so you can look outside if you want.

Overall I have highly enjoyed my experience here, great amenities and a friendly staff. I appreciates that maintenance comes fairly quick to address any issues. I love that commute is so easy as you are right by the interstate entrance, G/Y Metro 3.5 blocks and O/B/S Metro is a short 9 minute walk, and bikes right out front of main entrance. As someone who lives alone, security was very important to me when I moved in. Crossings DC exceeds my expectations. I always see security walking around, stationed throughout the building. When I did have an issue, they were attentive, and preventative.

I like living here. The gym is really nice. My only negative is that the wifi is terrible. I like the pool a lot upstairs too. The spa is cool as well. Hot tub, sauna, cold plunge, steam room. These things have all broken, but they do fix them eventually.

A very large apartment with a lot of great amenities. This apartment has a music studio, 2 practice rooms, a pool, a lap pool, a movie theater, and a lot of quiet office space. The parking garage is a little weird because the garage doesn’t go straight from my floor to garage. I have to get on two separate elevators.
