What can I say about City Place? As a City Place resident who has been living here for almost 5 years, I can truly say that City Place is phenomenal! It’s a hidden gem that is in a great location with superb walkability, awesome apartments, amenities and decor. Here’s why I love City Place below ?? 1. Morgan property management has been and still is doing a great job managing the property. 2. Dahlia, the Property Manager, and her team (Kevin {Asst Mgr}, Kila {Leasing Consultant} and Danny {Leasing Consultant} ) provide great professional service. They are very attentive and quick to handle the residents’ needs with a smile. They foster a sense of community and engagement amongst the residents by providing resident events that are full of fun, food, and fellowship. 3. Negib and the Maintenance & Housekeeping Team are absolutely phenomenal! They do a wonderful job of maintaining the grounds across several buildings to ensure that everything is sparkling and clean, trash is always picked up, landscaping is beautiful, the garages are always clean, the gym and bathrooms are fresh and tidy, and the list goes on. Additionally, they are super quick to fix any apartment issues, and they do it with excellence. 4. Security at City Place is also top notch. You can live here and NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT break ins, stolen packages (they have a Luxer Package Room), or vehicle vandalism. Finally, living at living at City Place is a total vibe, where you’ll feel safe and at peace, your apartment will be spacious and meet your individual needs, the staff is impeccable, the grounds are consistently clean, and maintenance is top notch.
I lived in Upper Kirby for 3 years and they kept going up on my rent. I looked at 7 different apartments until I came across City Place. I immediately fell in love with the area with the big oak trees crossing over the streets in the neighborhood. The biggest selling point to me and to be honest the main reason I am now there is the leasing staff that was so friendly and helpful. Maliah and Keyva were the light at the end of the tunnel of looking for apartments for me. They were SO helpful and just a delightful shine when you walk in the lobby. In fact, I went back to see the model about 6 times to measure for furniture and was embarrassed to keep asking but they always had a smile on their face and was happy to show it again for me. I am not the best with computers and had to start an app to pay rent and for maintenance tickets, I could never figure it out, so I came in the office and both Maliah and Keyva dropped what they were doing and got me all fixed up. If you're looking for a clean and beautiful apartment in a great friendly neighborhood, where you can walk to restaurants and clubs, this is your place.

City Place Montrose was an unexpected treat. Maliah was my leasing consultant and she was amazing. Every question I had, she answered. If she didn't know, she found out and got back to me. The property was lovely and the neighborhood is very nice and walkable. Of course I had to move there and my expectations have been met 100 percent. The staff is also amazing including Tristian and Keyva. I hope to live there a long time.
This place is horrible. I lived here from Sept. 2022-April 2023. #1 Dirty/smelling carpets (even after I spent $$to have it professionally clean).#2 MOLD - you can see and smell mold musty air when you use air conditioner. #3. Leaky kitchen faucets from day one - each time maintenance repair faucet would still leak. #4 BUGS and GECKOS #5 They don't clean up the dog waste in the dog park --dog crap everywhere
Would not recommend staying at CityPlace Montrose. Main issues below: - Mold: There was mold in my unit and when discovered, management refused to remediate the issue. When I asked to be let out of my lease since they did not want to remediate the issue, they informed me that I would be responsible for the rent until the end of my lease. - Management: Whenever there was an issue (key fob not working, locked out of the building on the coldest night of the year, mold in the unit, etc.) I would reach out to management through call/email with no response. They would call at random times, I would inform them that I am working and would appreciate if they could provide a response through email. When I would follow up, they could not recall any phone conversation. Also, I was charged upon move out for indents in the carpet due to furniture. Not a stained carpet but charged so the company could essentially vacuum a few times to remove dents in the carpet that are due to normal furniture placement after a year. I have never heard of that charge before so it seems to be a money grab. - Infrastructure (not something that can be changed but an important note): the construction quality was poor. It sounded as if my upstairs neighbors were filming a Stomp The Yard sequel throughout the day, but it was due to the flooring, not practicing a new dance sequence. If you have a package delivered outside of working hours (11-5:30 M-F), you will need to meet with the delivery person outside since there is no way for them to enter the building, no dedicated package room, and management does not hold packages. I've had a few packages stolen unfortunately and the response was "ship the package somewhere else". Management was notified of these many issues and did nothing to remediate them which is the focus of my review. No place is perfect but customer service and ability to resolve issues is important. CityPlace Montrose failed in that aspect. I've lived in a variety of apartment complexes and residences across 4 states in the past decade and I can confirm that this was my worst experience by far.

The leasing office staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. There were able to answer my questions and address any issues immediately. The maintenance staff came to make the needed repairs within one day.

Nice property and great location. But beware if you rent here you wont have access to both gyms as advertised in the amenities photos. The only way you have access to both is if you go during office hours and rent out a key fob or pay $75 for an additional fob. I leave early and get home when business hours are already closed; the gym I want access to(better equipment) isn't available unless I pay an additional $75. Ridiculous. This should be advertised on their site prior to people signing their lease or at least told in advance.
I love coming home to City Place Midtown, the staff is incredibly friendly and the management feels like family. With the unforeseen winter storm and mid pandemic fears I feel like City Place took it upon themselves to provide the possible service and guidance for the best possible outcome. I am very impressed with Greystar Management but I am astounded by my friends here at City Place Midtown, they remind me that this is my home.

I love living at City Place! The management team is very friendly. I take advantage of the proximity to bars, restaurants, and Whole Foods. It's a great location with has excellent amenities.

Move-in experience was very smooth. I was able to recycle the boxes at the leasing office. The studio apartment is very clean and functional when I moved in. I like that the amenities building is in a separate building so that I can do more steps.

Location alone would make City Place worth it, but the stylish apartment features and top notch appliances really put it over the top! Staff is very kind and super helpful. Very secure complex. Convenient dog park downstairs. It really checks all the boxes that you want in a great apartment community!

Since moving into City Place Midtown, I have been extremely happy with my living experience. My roommate and I loved city place from the second that we toured, and they were kind enough to allow us to tour again later with our parents. The employees at City Place are excellent, I always feel heard and taken care of if I need anything. The granite countertops are super nice, and I love how big my room is. This is a young and vibrant community with a ton of people to meet and hang with. The pool is very nice and they play music throughout the day.

The reasons why i have lived so long in City Place Midtown are pretty simple.. yet not so easy to find. First is the security. Yep, safety above all. I have never in all my years hear of a breakin or anything like that. You need your key even to get to the elevator. Second is the location - it is the best, evertything within range -it is so good. And last but not least and the main reason why i decided to live here... is the STAFF. They go above and beyond to be there for you. They know you and they care. So honestly, it is amazing to live right were the action happens: Midtown! Wohooo! and feel so protected at the same time. Thank you City Place! You guys rock!!!!

City place has the best management in any apartment I have ever lived by a mile!
City place made it by the far the easiest relocation with my job. Attentive and responsive emails and communication. The staff is very nice and the apartment is great in looks and location. I feel safe and Im happy I chose city place.
I requested a maintenance service online, and I got my issue solved in less than 48h!
Excellent apartments, beautiful interiors. Rooms are a bit dark inside because of the colour scheme but really spacious. Staff excellent & really helpful
