Property Ratings at Yorktown Crossing
The property is pretty quiet, I love my neighbors. However my unit has roaches, and the front office staff is incredibly rude and unresponsive to phone calls and emails . They only answer you if it’s beneficial to them. My cars been broken into 3 times over the years as well. They also add delivery services you have to pay for and will do anything for extra revenue.
We have only been here for a month and a half and so far we like living here in Yorktown Crossing. It is a very quiet place

Overall apartments are nice when it rain there is a lot of mud in the middle by the pool.

My experience here has been great. I was very reluctant to move back into an apartment after 7 years of renting a home but this has been everything I could ask for and more - thorough communication, beautiful apartments, nice staff, the ground are appealing, easy to pay rent and take care of maintenance issues. Its been great!

The parking is really bad for the money I am paying for my apartment. I should not have to park two buildings away and walk in the dark with my 2 yr old grandchild. There should be at least one parking space per apartment.

Have been a resident of Yorktown Crossing Pkwy going on 12 years. One of the first residents here, Brand spanking new.Love the location ! Everything in proximity. Security is a major factor why I am still a resident here. Residents, seem to mind their own business, are courteous and very friendly?

Bad bad management... The actual apartments are pretty but the management is horrible, stay away from these apartments. Your rent will increase every year but the service that you'll get will be ZERO. The management will cheap out on everything, they'll wait months before they fix anything. Oh and the roaches are just infested everywhere and they refuse to spray them because that requires money, the money that you pay every month but they refuse to use it in the service that they promised you... One thing they're good at is LYING, management is full of lies

When I first viewed the apartment I was very excited and couldn't wait to move in. The staff seemed helpful.. and the property seemed okay at first. As time went on I started noticing weird people coming and going at night, near my apartment. I had people ringing my doorbell between 2am-5am almost every night. I had also got a letter stating a sexual assault had happened in the complex. The last straw for me was when I had to call the police because a man was running back and forth by my apartment screaming ''HELP''. Not only that but you are lied to regarding amenities and access to the gym, the staff lying to you saying the filter was not working and chaining the gate up, another staff member saying that they do not want to leave the gates open as kids may drown... then changing it to the access fobs not working.. but they magically work at certain times. Even so with the gym which is open until 10pm, time and time again it was closed by 6pm, and not open even in the morning. Also one of the apartment blocks caught on fire during a storm, the whole ambiance of the place is not pretty.

When I first walked in, I absolutely loved the apartments and wanted to stay for as long as I could. However, I started having issues halfway through my lease. I had a horrible pest issue. I called the clubhouse and Orkin came but it seems as if the matter got worse. It came to a point were I felt uncomfortable living in my own home. I expressed that there must have been eggs layed somewhere because there were baby roaches crawling around. Luckily, I was at home one day to observe how Orkin perform their inspection. Lack of trying to look for the source of the issue is putting it mildly. While taking a shower, I find myself checking the walls because on more that one occasion, I've seen some crawling at the top. Also, if you don't get home before 9ish during the week, there's not place to park (unless you have a garage or pay for the covered parking). When I called the corporate office, left a message, AND sent her an email attaching my letter, I never received a call back stating that they are looking into it or just even informing me that she received anything. If it wasn't for these BIG things, everything would have been great. The layout is wonderful, the atmosphere is great, and they keep the property well groomed. Of course there are some issues that are out of your or their control, neighbors above you vacuuming at 2am and being disturbing (during a work week) or some people not knowing how to clean up after their dog(s).
I could write a post complaining about the typical apartment nuisances such as sucky neighbors, thin walls, lack of parking. But if I did that I doubt anyone would benefit from it. I mean it is an apartments and regardless of where you go experiencing or no experiencing these issues are simply a matter of luck. But what I can say having lived here for 2 1/2 years is that the grounds are beautifully kept, it is a fairly quiet residence, everything is modern and up to date, the leasing staff have never given me any problems, and for the location the prices are a steal!
This community has great curb appeal and the property is always clean and manicured. The staff here is great and maintenance get an A plus. The apartments are very spacious and updated. The amenities are great. They are equipped with everything you need. They are pet friendly and have a great dog park and waste stations. If you are looking for safety, convenience and comfort, I recommend you check them out!
