Great apartment and amenities, and Ty from the leasing office was great to work with! Made moving in simple! I would recommend this building to others.

It was awesome, checking in was good and everyone is awesome. I would hihgly recommned living here as everyone her extremely helpful! Very clean.

It’s a great area! It has good amenities and really like apartment layout. Besides staff sometimes being slow at communication I have no complaints!

Front desk is super helpful and kind. The leasing agent and staff were incredibly helpful and flexible during my move-in process. Seems like a good community. Great amenities and in a central area in neighborhood. Only a few days in but I am glad to be here so far.

It’s been great! All packages have been delivered and leasing office/people at the front have been very helpful. Everything has gone fairly smoothly.

Overall good experience, but the maintenance request are not handled in a timely manner. It can be weeks before simple requests are addressed.

My experience with West Half has been nothing short of exceptional. Their property is beautiful, with top-tier amenities that made it an easy choice after touring. While the property had everything I wanted, the true standout was the leasing team. It’s rare to encounter customer service, expertise, and patience on the level I experienced here. I just moved from Atlanta and prior to choosing West Half I toured multiple properties. Some were nice as well, but West Half stood out as the clear winner for me. The professionalism and genuine care I was shown was a stark contrast from what I received from some other properties in the area..I would be justified in doing so, but I won’t say any names??. Anyway, If you want to feel truly valued and appreciated, in addition to having a comfortable place to call home, this is the place to be. Thank you Richard, Tanisha, and the rest of the West Half team that made my experience positive.

I’ve enjoyed my time living at West Half. The community is in a great location, the apartments are beautiful, and the amenities are great. The concierge and leasing teams are wonderful.

We just renewed our lease for 1205 collection. The staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. You also can’t beat the location! The utilities are a bit high compared to some other buildings we’ve lived at, but we think the rent prices being fair makes it about even!

Ty the leasing manager was incredibly helpful while cutting through all the paperwork. The view from the club and pool are top notch, no need to pay for MLB tickets here.

Great location, well-maintained buildings, effective security and nice amenities- this place has it all! The leasing office is good - I had a very positive experience with Ty - and appreciate his professionalism, attitude, and attention. Moving in here was easy, thanks to the helpful concierge team.

My husband and I love living in 1205 Collections! All of the staff are so friendly, the management team plans great events and are always checking in to see how things are going, and the front desk team is a great help in managing our packages. The gym also has the equipment you need, and the location is perfect!

Love living here and very happy I chose to live here. The staff have all been friendly and helpful and while I haven’t used them much the amenities are great too. My only complaint is the ac/heating control is outdated and has no option to set a schedule or eco mode which creates electric waste and makes it difficult to have an ideal temp upon sleeping & waking. Investing in an eye mask is also a must if your bedroom faces the outside; while the floor to ceiling windows allow an incredible view, the shades aren’t great at blocking light.

This building truly has so many problems that I don't know where to start. For starters, they just did AC work (where our AC didn't work for three days), and now it takes HOURS for the apartment to get to a comfortable temperature. If you want your unit to be comfortable, you have to leave the unit on all day, which isn't how it used to be. Management isn't responsive once you sign your lease. Also, the fact that they have to ask people for reviews after giving them a tour should speak volumes about this community.

Unless you want to be inconvenienced by frequent, major maintenance issues, do NOT move here. The building might look pristine, but everything that you can't see can and will break. At this rate, I think that maintenance has spent more time in my apartment than I have, and I've had to deep-clean my apartment after their messy visits every time. Just recently, air conditioning repairs were being made and we couldn't control our units for three days, in the middle of May, making our apartments uncomfortably hot. JBG Smith evidently puts profits before tenant satisfaction as portable units were only installed "upon request", and as work was already well underway. It should have been extremely obvious to management that tenants would like air conditioning when it's 80 + degrees outside, so it is shocking that units would have to be requested in the first place. Ultimately, this should have been done beforehand to ensure resident comfort. I could go on indefinitely with a list of issues, but the long and short of it is that management does not seem to care, unless a review is posted online. There is also a lot of crime in the area and incidents in the building occur regularly. Do yourself a favor and don't move here.

The staff is amazing - they are incredibly helpful, warm and welcoming. The building is always clean and the amenities are awesome. I’d highly recommend this building to anyone looking to live in the Navy Yard area!

I moved to West Half at the start of the pandemic. While I understand their initial safety plan, we are now a year into the pandemic and the amenity spaces remain on partial lockdown. You can have *one* guest on weekdays (and this is something brand new they only introduced last week), you have to make a reservation to use your own space, and operating hours are limited. WH bills itself as a "luxury" building, but you end up paying exorbitant fees for a cheaply built unit with limited amenity access. I would highly recommend almost everywhere else.
