I just moved in a few weeks ago and i observed that the Apartment is clean and staff are responsive. Immediately after I moved in, I noticed something that needed to be fixed, I put in a work order, and it was done within few days.

First time I’ve seen his apartments I was in love. I remember when Miss Nicole used to be in the office they treated me so well and kind they got me into the apartment. People that have upstairs floor plans aren't mindful of neighbors next to them. Constant noise all times of day & night. Food places, gas stations, gym & stores are nearby within walking distance.

Our family been here for about a week, and we have enjoyed the entire experience. The community is quite and very welcoming. Also, the convenance of all the stores close together.

The previous unit flooded from the unit above. Moved into a new unit 2 weeks later in which I wanted a large unit. Moved into a new unit and love the new unit. Unfortunately when walked thorough was performed by the leasing office they missed everything. Windows blinds dirty, washing machine dirty, toilet seat dirty, and the toilet seat despicable. The microwave handle broken. I've put in a maintenance request for the microwave. 2 weeks into living here the hurricane hit raining into the living room .
I have been here for 4 years, and it has been interesting. I love the location and my neighbors. I will miss the location we are near 3 highways, and it has been amazing.
Move in was great, the process getting applied and processed was easy. Bailey has been a huge help! Its feel like home, it feels so comfortable.

I knew when I first moved in this unit I wasn’t staying in it. I tried transferring to another unit but the manager never followed up about finding another one once my lease was up. I called multiple times and left messages for the manager but never got a call back regarding the transfer. As a resident that pays rent on time, you would think you would be valued as such. Neighbors are loud and every day my apartment is fumigated with the stench of marijuana. Called multiple times and complained about them have parties during the week when I have to get up for work and have an infant child. They forget to pick your trash up and then charge you $25 on top of what you already pay for valet trash, like it’s my fault they didn’t pick it up. Do not move here! You will be miserable!

If I could give this property no stars I would. I moved here March 2024 since then it has been a constant spiral of deplorable conditions, people and circumstance. The apartments are big infested and not properly insulated. In less than two months I’ve dealt with my neighbor pipes bursting and flooding my kitchen. Weird ppl that don’t live in the apartments stay roaming the apartments all day. Also USPS wouldn’t leave mail because our mailboxes was broken. To say the least I’m breaking my lease.

I should have known not to move here when the man who was helping me did not take my id before we toured the apartment and generally didn’t seem to know what was going on. I applied on August 1st 2022 to have a move in date at the beginning of October. By the middle of September they had still not approved my application because they “didn’t have all of my paycheck stubs and required info” which were all attached in an email I sent them back in the beginning of august when I originally applied. Then they kept dragging their feet on my lease telling me they were focusing on getting all the “new leases that started before mine situated”. Again this was less than 2 weeks away from my move out date at my other apartment. When I spoke to the manager all she did was make excuses and did nothing to remedy the problems. I ended up deciding to move somewhere else but did not tell management. No one from the Retreat called until after my move in date to see when I would be signing my lease and moving in. I told them about the multiple issues I had and how badly the leasing process went and they seemed to not really care. So thankful I didn’t waste a year here.

I lived in the Retreat for over 9 years, and it's been a mixed experience throughout. However, the current management company, Fogelman, is doing a bad job, and I couldn't wait to leave. The office is mostly populated with people who are sullen and unpleasant to work with; that's especially true of the higher ups. They're nearly impossible to contact, since they almost never answer the phones (I've seen them ignore the phones even while seated at their desks in front of them). Today alone, I called them 6 times to ask a question about my final balance and could not get through. They usually don't respond to messages through the portal. I had to get responses through Facebook messenger a few months back, but even that stopped working after a while. So, if you need help, your only real option is to go into the office in person. Maintenance is nice and does a good job, but it's very hard to schedule them, since the office is so hard to reach. Fogelman also amends the standard lease agreement to require 60 days notice to vacate instead of the more typical 30 (the default on these contracts if left blank, for instance), and there's really no wiggle room there. I lived there for almost a decade and when I signed on a new house, I gave them notice the same day (31 days before my least ended) and moved out on the last day of my lease agreement. But they still charged me $1,200 for an early termination fee, since I didn't give them the 60 days' notice (if I had stayed for the remaining days, I would have had to pay 1 month of month-to-month rent, which was over $2,000). There are some other issues I had while living there -- packages stolen from my porch and from their package room and frequently, the dumpsters were overflowing making trash disposal challenging. In all, I can't recommend them and I'm glad to no longer be living there.
Where do I even start? I have an insect problem which has gone unresolved despite a visit from pest control (who was here less than 5 mins). I put in a second request 4 business days ago and sent an email. Have not received a response. I have submitted several requests for them to fix the lock on my mailbox. My mailbox is wide open for anyone to access. Mine is not the only one. I am now missing 4 Amazon packages, two of which were noted specifically as being placed "in recipient's mailbox". This only describes the last 2 weeks!!! I could literally go on and on . . . and on. A new management company took over right before I moved in. I see that past reviews are very positive. Let me assure you, they do not reflect the current situation. I can't wait for my lease to be up so my kids and I can get out of here!
I have been living over here for almost 4 years. My AC keeps going out every other week and the maintenance man is telling me that there is nothing wrong with it. One minute the AC is blowing cold and the next it is blowing hot. Currently, my AC is set on 74 degrees and the current temp in the apartment is reading 80 degrees. My calls are now being ignored.
I went to look at a 2 bedroom/ 1 bath for me and my son. Jamerson made the tour great and actually showed me a 2 bedroom/2 bath. Let just say, I fell in love the all the amenities, the quietness of the property, that I looked and and leased, received the special offers. Jamerson didn't present the offers first he presented the property first and what the property offered. There are many renovations that are going on, so who would not want to be able to experiences those. Kylie and Andrea have also been a great help, looking forward to my new home with my son. I am only giving them 4 stars because I haven't moved in yet, looking for to my move in. Thank you, Retreat at Steeplechase
I just did my final walk-through of my apartment and the manager asked me to leave a review of what I thought during my time here. I've enjoyed living here (2 years) and am sad to leave but I'm onto the next step of my life. My neighbors were all really nice and helpful. The apartment I lived in was clean and I don't remember ever having to call maintenance to come for anything. I paid my rent online which was nice. Finally, the walk-through went well, and was what I had expected it to be. Thanks again!
I moved to The Retreat 3 months ago and have noticed that kids are always running around, taking over the pool area and even using bad language towards me! There was almost 10 kids in the hot tub and when I asked them to allow others to use, they made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe! Where is the security?? I don't feel safe living here anymore and wish to break my lease but I've been told there is no way to break the lease without all these crazy expensive fees. If I don't feel safe, I should be able to move or they should get the security issue under control. Not happy!!!!!
What can I say. I just moved in last week and I just wanted to take a moment and thank all the office staff for being such a huge help throughout this whole process. I was able to get my application submitted and approved quickly then they let me have my pick of the apartments they had open for my move in date. I got a nice one really close to the pool which I'm looking forward to checking out after it opens. I've used the gym twice already and I'd say it's pretty functional and I love that I have one right in my building just down some stairs! Thanks again office peeps! :)

I've lived at this community for 3 years and love it here! The people inside the office are really cool and helpful. I moved here from Colorado Springs, CO, and while I miss the beauty of Colorado, I am more happy with my living situation here! The apartment I live in is really nice and I haven't had any issues with maintenance like I had in the old place. The pools are clean and the weather out here allows me to enjoy them all summer long. I'm getting married soon and will be moving to a house with my soon to be wife. I'll miss my apartment, the people at the office, and I'll miss having a pool for sure. Great place to live! I suggest checking it out! The people in the office know I love it here and asked me to leave a review so here it is. :) - Thank you for everything!

I've been living here for almost three years and I absolutely love it. The property manager ( Amanda) is one of the best at what she does. She is very attentive to the needs of her residents and will try her best to accommodate their needs. The leasing agents are exceptional as well. Cheryl, is one of the leasing agents and she has been exceptional as well since the beginning of my stay. I have lived in several apartment communities and by far this has been my best experience to date. Please don't believe some of the negative reviews, take it from me, this is one of the best communities in Jersey Village.

Horrible service, hard to get ahold of anyone and when you do they don't do what they say they will do.
The apartments themselves are perfectly nice. Updated and spacious the attached garage is a nice featured bonus. Family oriented, dog friendly, and quiet. Location leaves little to be desired. Excellent neighborhood centrally located close to many quick dining restaurants and grocery shopping. The management is friendly and responsive but it takes awhile to have maintenence requests completed as you likely have to remind the staff that you're waiting on a repair.
The location is safe and expanding faster like the highways in downtown. The apartment makes community events to make people come together. You have a quick walk to the store and restaurants, even to the park! Not just the outside is great with every Monday the grass and plants are taken care of but the maintenance takes care of any doubts. Unlike other apartments, we have a spa for massages, putting green, big pool and jacuzzi, outdoor grill with fire pit, and zumba classes!! This place is the ideal home!!!
I have now lived here for almost one year. Just renewed up for another 12 months. Positives: Great Staff in the office and repair. They react to your needs quickly. They have a lot of events to make living here comfortable. Good security keeps things quiet. The workout room and pool are great well maintained. The valet trash program is great. The location is great near plenty of shopping and highway access. Negatives: This is a dog friendly community. Why is this a negative because the majority of dog owners here are irresponsible and never pickup after there pet. I won't walk in the common area. Some of the pool furniture is need of replacement. The common grill for all tenants to use is tough to get to during the summer due to its use by many. All in all its a nice palce to be and fits my needs fairly well. Al I, Houston TX
The apartment are nice ,Store and restaurants close by. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The apartment come with hard wood floors and garage that let you walk right in to the house. the apartment has pools and play grounds and only 15 min from the job.
If you're interested in visiting, the gate is usually broken and open, so feel free. We love to hang out by the pool and grill, if the pool is clean and the grill actually works. A few things went wrong, but was fixed in a generally quick manner. The pool can get a little crowded and loud, but the community activities are nice. We got a remodeled unit, but I didn't get the nice back splash, so that was disappointing. Overall I have enjoyed my experience, but it isn't as nice as it's priced for.
Love it.!! Great location and shopping!!! Also, one of the best school district in Houston/Texas... Currently, relocated from atlanta, and glade that I chose the retreats!! Very quiet and within 1 mile from walmart, target, and kroger...And the nearest mall is down the street, you dont even have to get on the highway
