This isn't Takoma Park. Sure, the name is similar, but the difference is key: Takoma is a neighborhood in DC. Tacoma Park is a city in Maryland. And while they share a border -- Eastern Avenue Is all that separates one from the other -- Takoma residents don't appreciate being confused with their neighbor. Takoma began as DC's first suburb in 1883. Back then, this railroad community was advertised as having "no malaria, pure air, and delightful shade." Today, it is still considered a healthy neighborhood, known for its vegan restaurants and walkable streets.

Takoma is about six miles north of Downtown Washington DC and is well-known for its healthy living initiatives. The homes in the area were built around 1920 and tend to have larger yards and more trees than other metro neighborhoods. Prices tend to be slightly lower in Takoma, which makes this area very popular.

Here you will feel at home

Dahlia Apartments is a well-kept and affordable building situated in the quieter and more family-friendly part of D.C. Its large and inviting lobby gives you just an idea of the friendliness and warmth shown by its residents as well as the cleanliness and homey design of the apartments. Not only is this building located in a neighborhood near grocery stores, downtown shopping, and several methods of public transportation- when you live here you will also feel yourself immersed in one of the most multicultural neighborhoods that D.C. has to offer.

Dahlia Apartments is one of the best and most affordable buildings in D.C situated near a downtown shopping area, restaurants, grocery stores, and the metro.Located in the quieter and more family-friendly part of D.C, it's spacious lobby with cathedral ceilings and chandelier give you just a taste of the warmth and kindness held by its residents. The maintenance team and building manager will know you by your first name and never forget to ask you how your day was. The homey and inviting atmosphere created by helpful staff and friendly neighbors also immerses you in one of the most diverse neighborhoods D.C. has to offer. Here you will feel at home and at ease.
