The location and design of The Avant is excellent, but deferred maintenance is a problem. The fireplace in the lobby has not worked for two to three years, the hallway carpets are stained and the hallway light fixtures have yellowed and cracked shades throughout, just to name a few items.

I've lived in the Avant for nearly 4 years now and my experience here has always been positive. The apartments are spacious and the building's many different amenities are all very nice. The Great Room holds fun monthly events and is an excellent way to socialize while getting to know some of your neighbors. In addition, the building has a gym, two outdoor terraces, a barbecue area, a business lounge and a roof top dog park. The entire leasing office staff and the maintenance team are all courteous and accommodating should you ever be in need of their assistance. In addition, each of the individuals in the concierge are always welcoming and helpful as well. The location is perfect - the park is right outside the building in the heart of Reston Town Center and we are fortunate to have first hand access to each of the many restaurants, shops, concerts and different events held throughout the season.

I’m so glad I chose the Avant as my residence in Virginia. It has everything I was looking for. Proximity to multiple shops, restaurants and grocery stores. Close to the airport, and excellent medical facilities. And a staff that treats me like family.

The Avant at Reston Town Center has been a wonderful place to live. The location is fantastic and its proximity to public transit is exceptionally useful. My only wish is that the community felt more like a community, as it currently stands there is very little interaction between residents.

The Avant used to be a great place to live. Once Greystar took over they slowly started taking away amenities and services that made this place a luxury building. Now in 2024, after living here for more than three years, my apartment started constantly flooding for an entire month and Greystar handled the situation incredibly poorly. They have lost my business and I will be telling everyone to stay away.

Due to the lack of service, the ever-increasing effort to comply with landlord requests, the monthly rising costs of varying rent levels and additional payments for changing payment methods, and the lack of maintenance work, I would not recommend others to move in here.

The area is really the highlight here. The new management hasn't been as good about maintaining basic items and is focused a lot on cost cutting. I used to really enjoy this apartment but Greystar has far fewer events for residents, poor management from requesting maintenance to paying rent, and generally doesn't invest in properties. Will be looking elsewhere for 2023

Living at The Avant has been a highly enjoyable experience because of its luxury accommodations such as the 24 hour concierge, the Great Room, a swimming pool and a gym. It also provides many social opportunities by sponsoring monthly social get togethers in the Great Room while dining and drinking. The management team and the entire staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The surrounding neighborhood is ideal with its many restaurants and spaces to gather. I highly recommend living here.

The living experience here is great. The location is nice since it is in Reston Town Center and close to the silver line metro and there are many nice amenities available in the complex.

The Avant at Reston Town Center is a beautiful, well-maintained building in the very heart of the Town Center-- located directly across from the park, which is very convenient for walking my dog. Having a 24/7 Front Desk Receptionist makes me feel safe, which is a huge plus. Staff is very helpful and friendly. My individual apartment has incredible views with floor-to-ceiling windows and updated finishes. I couldn't be happier!

I was left with a bad taste from my interactions with the staff here. First of all, it’s as nearly impossible to reach anyone at the concierge phone number. Nobody ever answered my phone calls nor returned my voicemails. So I stopped by in person, and the lady at the concierge desk was unprofessional and it was a very awkward interaction. Not sure if it’s as her first day or she was coming back from a leave, but she was definitely not sure how to contact anyone in the leasing office. That’s a red flag. Once she figured out how to call them, they didn’t want to talk to me. I asked if I could leave my contact info for them, and she reluctantly agreed. I asked for their contact info as well and I got a business card for La’Shai with Bozzuto Mgmt. I sent an email, and never got a response. Nobody reached out or ever responded to any of my voicemails. Very disappointing experience, and just not how you treat potential renters.

I have been living here for 3.5 years and this Is The Absolute Best Property I have ever lived in. There is Not another property management team on Earth that is as professional, attentive, and caring as The Avant Management Team. They will go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. The building has very nice amenities such as the gym, business center, pool, and common areas. The location is in the middle of Reston Town Center is great too.

I lived for 2 years at the Avant. Towards the end, at the beginning of 2017, the entire Reston Town Center has implemented a paid parking system that applies to absolutely everyone. While residents of the Avant pay for a particular spot, which is normal, if any resident has a guest that comes on a weekday, then the guest will have to pay for parking and cannot avoid it. This is not a hospitable situation, and it doesn't look like the Reston Town Center is going to change the situation. Also, because of paid parking system, the entire Reston Town Center has become a less active and lively place. The businesses in the RTC have been losing money, and it wouldn't be hard to imagine the whole thing thinning out. I wouldn't recommend living at the Avant.

I’ve lived here for about eight months. I love living here and can’t find a single thing to complain about (trust me I can’t say this about every apartment I’ve lived in). Yes it’s expensive but you have to remember that price alone for anything is irrelevant – what matters is what you get (my college apartment was OVERPRICED at $300 a month – story for another day). So what do you get for the “high” rent? A central location in Reston Town Center (RTC) where everything is so close you can walk there while holding your breath. I think it’s funny how other apartments NOT in RTC will say “walk to Reston Town center!” even though it’d probably take an Olympic athlete 30 minutes to walk there. A high-end hotel feel. Can’t describe it so not going to waste your time trying. A great gym (which is never crowded) with modern equipment and plenty of treadmills. A very professional and responsive leasing and maintenance staff that have fixed every (very minor) issue I’ve had – in every case literally within hours (don’t take this for granted – other apartments can take weeks to get around to responding to you if they respond at all). A very friendly/helpful 24 hour concierge. Not only do all apartments not have a 24 hour concierge but all of the others definitely aren’t as friendly as the ones here. A VERY quiet building. I never hear my neighbors or anything else for that matter. Caveat- if you live on one of the lower floors and above the restaurant below there might be noise so check this out before signing a lease. A VERY clean, modern (which it should be because it’s new) and smoke-free building. Resident-only events (several at the pool) almost every month. Seriously go to one - you’ll probably have more fun than any other bar/restaurant you’d normally go to and will definitely spend less money (like none). Business center, coffee bar. Self explanatory. You might not need/care because you have everything you need in your apartment (like I do) but it’s better to have it and not need it than the other way around.
