Truly the worst place I have ever lived. Appliances are from the 70s or 80s, gate is always broken, dog poop and trash everywhere around the complex. Also is infested with roaches. The complex is extremely loud; you always hear doors slamming or music blasting at all hours. Walls are paper thin and can smell Marijuana coming from neighbors 24/7. The property is not maintained well. My apartment is painted poorly, and the carpet was full of dust when I moved in. They treat their residents horribly, always looking to get an extra buck. Please avoid at all costs.

I have been reporting to both the rental office and the emergency maintenance line that there is a leaking in my ceiling and they have yet to fix it despite assurances that they will. It's been a week at this point I'm worried the walls are going to cave in they're so soggy

Just like most apartments, there are some pros and cons about this community. I initially chose this one because of the location, cost, and helpfulness of the staff. The location is great for me bc of the proximity to work, family, shopping, etc. It is a pretty quite place to live, as I have not had any disturbances since I have been there. I have been living here for a little over a year now. The office and maintenance staff are pretty helpful and accommodating. Ms Nash in the office has been especially helpful to me when I have had any concerns. The rent is priced okay for what you receive. I do think they need to do a A LOT of upgrading..cabinets are really old and my apartments has soooo many cracks in the ceiling and walls. Each unit does come with a washer/dryer and fireplace which is a nice touch. My biggest complaints have to be the insect problem and parking. While maintenance sprays on the regular..I still don't want to continuously sweep up dead insects..there is obviously a way they are getting in that needs to be sealed. Many of the residents don't care about a parking spot with lines through it...this means NO PARKING . When they park here, it is VERY DIFFICULT to get bags up to your apartment. No one enforces this rule. There has also been an influx in residents not picking up after their freakin dogs. While the staff is great, I am not sure if I will be renewing my lease at this point.

I have lived here for four and a half years. I will certainly say that our experience has greatly improved since the beginning, I was content with service and atmosphere, but the maintenance has greatly improved and courteous office staff. I would recommend this property to someone now, thank you.

I was going to start this review by covering all of the issues with this apartment, however, something more interesting came up.... They returned the majority of my security deposit, but then they put a stop order on the check! That's right, I actually received a deposit refund. However, after I complained about what they withheld, they sent me angry emails and put a stop order on the check in retaliation! It took multiple threats of contacting law enforcement to get them to send a replacement check. However, if that's not enough to make you run, see below for a list of issues I had with my apartment at Sawmill: 1. Mice. They ate all of the food in my pantry (yes it was all sealed in bags) 4 times while I lived here, pest control wasn't able to do much and maintenance told me it's to be expected 2. Lots of roaches, spiders, various bugs. My morning routine became walking my dog then picking up all of the dead roaches and clearing the mouse traps from the night 3. Bees on the deck. For my first summer maintenance told me there was nothing they could do about the several wasp's nests making my deck unusable 4. The apartment was never spot painted before I moved in as promised, and never over the 15 months I lived there 5. The carpet was dirty and never cleaned before I moved in (at least they didn't bill me for it when I moved out!!) 6. The windows were all so dirty/broken/rusted they didn't even open 7. Water leaked in from above the windows that didn't open when it rained. I notified the landlord of this and they didn't really care, and then mold started to grow from it 8. Half of the entire apartment is slanted, probably by 10 or 15 degrees at the end. There was a noticeable drop in the middle and the rest of the apartment was slanted, sinking downward 9. Because the apartment was sideways, the dishwasher was sideways and leaked water when I run it. I had to leave a large bowl under one corner to stop my kitchen floor from flooding 10. The washer was so old and loud that I got a headache from using it, even if I was upstairs 11. When it rains the parking lot floods with raw sewage. Yup. And then it kind of sits there for a few days after as it slowly dries 12. Dogs poop everywhere and the owners leave it. Get ready to step in poop daily
I rented an apartment there from 12-28-13 thru 4-30-16 and when i moved out they made up all kinds of reasons why they should not give back your security deposit. when i moved in there was leaking patios which came into my apartment. i told them about it they came out one time and pretended to fix it but it still rained in there. they did nothing to fix it. they had an ac on the roof the failed and leaked water which flooded into my apartment and they knew about it because we told the maintenance people about it they did nothing. when water damage settled in onto the carpet they want me to pay for it. among other things the extensive mold and mildew in the apartments along with the dog feces in the grass they never clean because i stepped in it. told them about it they did nothing. i will never live there and never recommend anyone to live there....they are extremely poor in the satisfaction of there customers.
I've lived at Sawmill Creek Apts for 10 years, and have no plans to move. The grounds are well kept, the maintenance issues are attended to promptly and efficiently, and the staff is great.
When we first drove through Sawmills gate we were greeted by several lovely water fountains around several of the buildings. This townhouse apartment was seemingly nice, with ample parking and an accent wall with wood burning fireplace. The living room had a comfortable amount of square footage and the separate kitchen/dining area was appealing. With white walls, a small balcony and included washer/drier, we were settling into the idea of living there. We walked up the stairs and into two a small with 5 doors: two hall closets, one bathroom, one large bedroom with its own walk in closet and another bedroom with its own large walk in closet and own bathroom. The only reason I am giving 3 instead of 5 stars is because all of the cabinets, counters, floors, and appliances are very dated. They areally in pretty decent condition but by no means new, modern, or luxury.
