Gibson Springs is nestled into the Interstate 215 and 515 junction just west of the city center. This family-friendly suburb, while part of Henderson, is also part of the Las Vegas metro area. Low- and mid-rise apartments and contemporary single-family developments have made Gibson Springs a popular locale for renters to escape the lights of the Strip. Residents are served by a solid school district, plenty of amenities, and points of interest that one may not expect for a Las Vegas suburb. Cornerstone Parks and its walking trails make for a picturesque stroll, and there are plenty of restaurants along North Stephanie street.
The unmistakable Las Vegas Strip is just 12 miles to the northwest of Gibson Springs, and Downtown Henderson sits just 5 miles to the southeast. In a short drive, residents can access spectacular scenery and outdoor activities at Lake Mead, Red Rock Canyon and the Valley of Fire.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Promontory Point
Love the community, the complex is small and doesn’t feel over crowded at all. The junior high and middle school are about a 6-7 minute drive and my children love their schools and feel safe there. The complex itself is great ladies in the office are very kind and maintenance is very quick with any repair I’ve needed. Perfect place for families and individuals
Love it here, nice clean apt, great area. Maintenance is always on top of issues. Haven’t had any problems here so far.
My family and I moved in last February 2015. We had so many issues with leaks and old appliances. Our washer broke and flooded twice and flooded the laundry room, bathroom and into the hallway. Instead of replacing our washer with new equipment they cut corners and use old equipment out of different apartments and where they store their old refurbished equipment. Our dryer broke and they did the samething. Our air-condioner leaked all over the carpet 3 times. Our unit outside ran out of free-on multiple times through the summer. Our NV energy bill was $280 for a 1100 square foot apartment. We came home to a roach problem and they blamed us for it. They claimed that we got roaches because we left our garbage outside. You don't get roaches from that. They replaced our fridge (that's where the roaches were nesting) with an old dirty fridge from a vacant apartment. Our sinks leaked, carpet was old and our doors had putty on the holes from previous Tennants. Before our lease was up, we had our last leak and the office manager told us that we weren't going to pay for the carpet since we had so many problems. Well, we ended up paying for it and a door that was puttied from a previous hole from previous Tennants. They used up all of our deposit and where we owe them. SAVE YOUR MONEY! DO NOT MOVE INTO THOSE APARTMENTS! So many more in that area and district that are newer with nicer amenities and you won't be stuck with huge energy bills because they are too cheap to replace their appliances with new ones. They'll stick you with the bill. The carpet hadn't been replaced since 2011 and they made us pay for it. Sneaky, lying office girls! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY AWAY!
The office staff and maintenance crew are very friendly and fix things promptly when they go wrong. Its in a low crime part of Henderson and because of the high school being so close creeps legally can't live here. The high school, which is a ten minute walk from the complex,is one of the best in the valley. I can tell you from personal experience I went there myself. I definitely recommend this complex. Also has late night security.

I lived in Promontory Point for 2 years. The sink and tub in the bathroom were plastic and always looked dirty. The countertops were painted pink and the baseboards had a faux paper wood coating on them and the laminate tile was dirty and outdated. I lived upstairs in a small one bedroom. The dining room and bedroom were ok sizes and the closet was large. I liked the w/d inside the unit and the patio. The grounds were ok. The location is convenient and has great pathways nearby. If you're willing to look past the outdated features and put your own flare into the apartment, it's not a bad place to live.
I moved into my unit in 2013 and I do not believe that it had been renovated recently. However, the apartment is livable and worked for me. The complex is well staffed and maintenance was quick. If I asked for something to be fixed, it was fixed within 24 hours. The staff in the office is friendly and makes me feel like I am part of the family. After my first lease expired they offered to clean my carpet for free and did not raise my rent as long as I renewed for 12 months. I do know they are upgrading units to stainless appliances and horizontal blinds. Plus, two bedroom units are getting front loading wahers as opposed to the stacked washer dryer in the one bedrooms like mine. However, my washer dryer was new enough to be under warranty when it needed looking at. Also, the air conditioners are being replaced in the units I can see when walking to and from my car and the dumpsters. The grounds are well kept as well. My only complaint would be that the units are not nearly sound proof enough. I can hear my neighbor upstairs walking and my next door neighbor's child screaming, but the former is not daily and the latter is only when she is really upset. Otherwise I would recommend this complex to anyone, family or bachelor.
what can I say I've lived in a lot of places here in Las Vegas this is the first place I've lived that I can say is that I really enjoy the area is quite beautiful close to work the office staff and maintenance that everybody's amazing they handle problems on in a timely manner, never had one issue with neighbors are loud noises they keep the complex clean and up I would recommend to anyone .. I've tecueved the rent price on a online rate and it's perfect for me because I live by myself so for Henderson I really lucked out with where I'm at just hope the rent dosent go up anymore LOL
