The neighborhood of Scott’s Addition is a historic district in Richmond, encompassed by many buildings and structures that contributed to its achievements. This community just south of Bryan Park noticeably became a part of the “Virginia Beer Boom” after the state’s blue laws were reformed. Inside this close-knit community, nine alcohol producers call Scott’s Addition home.
Because of the breweries and distilleries here – like the Veil Brewing Company and Buskey Cider – tourism soared in Scott’s Addition. In addition to many places to grab drinks, there are tons of restaurants in walking distance of one another. To commute into Richmond, residents enjoy the convenience of city bus service and Interstate 195.

I’ve only been here for about a week, but everything has been wonderful so far. The staff is welcoming, helpful, and always friendly, which has made the move-in process smooth and stress-free. The community itself is absolutely beautiful; the design, amenities, and overall atmosphere feel like true luxury hotel living. It already feels like home, and I’m excited to be part of this community.
I love the complex and the unit. However, there were several issues with the apartment when I first arrived, such as the thermostat not working and the refrigerator not operating properly.
Everything is as I expected great location, clean, great staff, the view from my room overlooking the garden and pool is spectacular I am excited about what the community has to offer.

The apartments are nice, and so are the amenities. The leasing staff are very bad at their job, and so is the maintenance staff. There’s no sense of welcome besides the tour, even getting your lease to sign is difficult. Maintenance will ignore requests for months.

I like it overall. Very nice. I found a mouse in my apartment and that was very unpleasant. Most of the time the coffee cups run out and drinks in the gym fridge. Other than a few nit picky things it is nice.

Living at the Novel reminds me of taking a trip to my favorite city and booking a room at an expensive Hotel . The community is amazing and the atmosphere is Phenomenal.

So far, I've only been a resident for a couple of days, but the community is beautiful. I'm excited to use the pet spa and dog park. Maintenance came the very next day to turn on my dryer for me. I'm waiting on receiving my Trash Fairies bin, and then also the gift card that the complex gives me for applying to move in. I love love love that they have the EV chargers in their parking garage. My experience so far feels like being at a resort.

Novel is hands down one of, if not the nicest apartment in the area. The amenities are like no other locations. It is in a fantastic location. Great food and shopping options are very close by. They are located right by the highway. The staff is phenomenal and helpful. They made the entire process from touring to moving in easy and accommodating.

The staff was very nice and responsive from start to finish with my move in. I had a very seamless move in process. The building is extremely clean and the amenities are amazing as well. If you're looking to move to the Scotts Addition Area, I definitely recommend Novels.

Clean and safe apartment, needing keys to access elevators and to apartment. Great for pets, with large spaces and great construction work. Looking forward to trying the pool once it’s warmer.

I absolutely love it here, It is everything I wanted in an Apartment! The appliances are very nice, the views from the apartment are spectacular (especially at sunset), and the design/materials are top-notch. I also love the amenities! The gym is great and has everything I need and the skylounge has a breathtaking view of The Diamond and Downtown RVA. I love it here and couldn't imagine being anywhere else!

Cayce and Courtnii have been extremely helpful leading up to, during, and after my move-in. They are always available to answer questions. The maintenance man is extremely nice and resolves my requests very quickly. I love the building and my apartment so much. When the city of RVA was instructed to boil water during to a snowstorm, he hand delivered waters to our apartment!! They know me by name here and I love it. Great community, I’m glad that I chose to live here :)

Living at Novel has been a wonderful experience. The staff and events make this feel like a true luxury community - my only complaint would be I wish the food and drink were stocked more regularly.

Novel is amazing! They really do a great job at getting to know their residents and for the residents to know each other. They are constantly hosting get together throughout the week and there is never any pressure to join. While there are areas of improvement (none staff related), I promise you they work tirelessly to address all of them, while still maintaining wonderful their wonderful customer service and community feel they are cultivating. I have never experienced a community like this and I am happy to be a part of it as it continues to grow!

Beautiful building! The appliances are top notch and the building itself is very clean. The parking garage is very spacious as well, with plenty of parking.
