Market Square Tower

Since our move in early 2020, MST has devolved from a vibrant, secure community into a disappointment masquerading as luxury living. What was once a haven of fun and safety has become a playground for petty criminals, with car break-ins now a regular occurrence. The management's solution? Implement a labyrinth of infantilizing rules. Forget about late-night swims or stargazing by the pool, apparently, we're all children with a 10 PM bedtime. Want to hit the gym after hours? Prepare for your personal security escort, because heaven forbid a paying resident use an amenity unsupervised. The nickel-and-diming is relentless. The theatre room, once a seldom used but casual hangout spot, now comes with a $150 price tag. Brace yourself for an onslaught of arbitrary fees – trash, water, and who knows what they'll dream up next. It's as if they're determined to squeeze every last cent from our wallets while the building crumbles around us. Speaking of which, enjoy your surprise cold showers courtesy of the increasingly frequent water leaks. Nothing says luxury like unpredictable basic utilities, right? The Fourth of July "celebration" was a sad reflection of MST's decline. In a misguided attempt to create exclusivity, they managed to throw the most depressing pool party in history. Nothing says "Independence Day" quite like an empty pool and a DJ who apparently fears sunlight. Maintenance? What maintenance? The gym looks like it's been through a war, doorknobs remain broken for years, and the wallpaper in the building is peeling faster than residents' patience. Essential amenities like the sauna, steam room, and golf simulator were out of commission for months on end, all while we continued to pay premium rates for phantom services. The saving grace? The ground-level staff. Concierge, valet, and others, who soldier on admirably despite upper management's best efforts to run this place into the ground. In short, unless you enjoy paying exorbitant fees for deteriorating amenities and the privilege of being treated like a delinquent teenager, I'd advise you to look elsewhere. MST has become a masterclass in how to alienate residents and destroy a once-thriving community.

I have lived in many different high rise towers in downtown Houston and Market Square Tower is by far the most luxurious. I love the big windows, the high ceilings, and the modern appliances in each apartment. Its location is great too with an easy commute to my office downtown.

I've been living in Market Square Tower for over two years now. It is the best place I have ever lived. The views are spectacular and no matter what day of the week it is, there is always something going on. Not to mention the 24-hour security and valet parking are great bonuses! If you're looking for an apartment downtown Houston, this should be your only option.

I was looking around for a new apartment in downtown Houston and market square really caught my eye. It’s right in the middle of everything. I have been there for 6 months now and I have nothing but positive experiences.

I have lived in or visited basically every high rise in the CBD, and none hold a candle to MST. The level of customer service, amount of amenities, community events, Georgia James Tavern, pet resort (on the way), and I even heard they are planing on opening a day spa in the building!! Living at MST feels like living at a 5 hotel. Highly recommend

Nice building but atrocious management that does not care. The tower is owned by a foreign equity firm. I have lived here over 3 years and to give one recent example the valet driver nearly totalled my car and no one reported it to me. When I went to drive it I could have gotten seriously injured as the rear axle was ready to snap off. Now my car has been in the shop for over a month and they still refuse to compensate me. Absolutely atrocious management.

I hope current and future residents know that they are likely to be charged in error for water because 75% of the building's water meters did not work. I was never told this as a resident only continuously overcharged until I said something about it. The amenities are hit or miss when they work. The pool upstairs is embarrassingly dirty in the summers. The steam room was my main attraction..... used it 4 times in 1 year as it stunk like mildew each other time I tried. NOT worth the crazy rent! so glad I left before the construction dust took over.
