Great building, amenities and friendly staff. The building manager is extremely helpful and accommodating. Always well maintained and clean!

I absolutely love living at Rowan. I love the community gathering and the amenities that the building offers. I am pleased with the staff; particularly the concierge who does a great job at ensuring the safety, security and the buildings integrity; what a great place to live.

It is Coming Up 3 Years At The Rowan, the living experience has been so amazing, nothing but great moments since the day i moved in. Front desk staff and the main rental office are always wiling to help and readily available in times when the community needs them the most, shout out Marc And Ms Tanya for always going above and beyond, making sure our safety as residents are their #1 priority, The Maintenance Department And Cleaning Team attend to every repair and issue in a very timely manner, Mr. Duilio Is very quick and reliable, knows his work very well, the building is always clean and smells fresh from the time i step out of my apartment. The rowan community here is very sociable and that factor makes this feel more like home and not just another apartment building, the people here look out and inform each other on different events in and out of the building that keeps everybody aware of whats going on in the neighborhood. The in-house resident events are always a vibe, most people participate, my personal favorite is karaoke night or game night, seeing the staff engage is so amazing, at the events are the best time to connect with my neighbors and every-time its a new info being shares very resourceful info, such as job openings, recommendations on restaurants, lounges, schools etc Moving from out of state, one of goals was finding a solid place to stay with friendly staff and neighbors, i can say the rowan definitely exceeded those expectations on many levels.

Really nice building. I toured recently and loved all the holiday decorations. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I just wanted the team to know their customer service really means a lot, and they honestly nailed it.

Moved into the Rowan and immediately felt the family vibe. Having friendly faces to greet me at the desk (Ms Mary and Ms Tiffany) made me feel welcomed - and their handling of our guests and packages is amazing! Bryce in maintenance keeps the grounds beautiful and is capable, competent, and trustworthy. And yes, he too gives the friendly home feel to the lived experience. Marc, Unique, and Mia always have an ear to listen and a spirit to help. My payments haven’t been timely due to some divorce issues, but they are willing to work with you if you are honest about your situation. The building itself is tastefully decorated much to my style and the amenities are thoughtful and quite helpful.

I lived at the Rowan Apartments in NE Washington, D.C. for two years, and my experience was outstanding from start to finish. The building itself is beautiful, with modern amenities, clean common areas, and a great sense of community. What truly made my time at Rowan exceptional was the team, especially Marc Cubahiro, the Assistant Community Manager. Marc went above and beyond to make my experience smooth and stress-free. He personally facilitated my lease transfer when I moved from a two-bedroom to a studio and handled my lease extensions twice, each time with complete transparency, professionalism, and care. Marc was always available to answer questions, explain details thoroughly, and make sure I fully understood every step of the process. It is rare to find someone in property management who is as patient, responsive, and genuine as Marc. If you are looking for a place in D.C. with not only great living spaces but also a management team that truly cares, I highly recommend Rowan Apartments, and especially Marc Cubahiro.

My overall apartment experience has been a mix of positives and challenges. The location is convenient, with easy access to transportation, shops, and restaurants, making daily life comfortable. The layout is practical, and the natural light makes the space feel welcoming. Maintenance requests are handled relatively quickly, and the staff is generally responsive and helpful. However, there are areas that could be improved. Noise from neighbors and the street can sometimes be disruptive, and the building’s amenities, while adequate, could use updates to match the rent price. Cleanliness in shared spaces like hallways and laundry areas is not always consistent. Despite these drawbacks, the apartment provides a safe and functional living environment. Overall, it has been a decent place to live, but with some improvements, the experience could be much better.

The staff is very helpful! I have had a great experience with the application and move in process and I am very excited to be joining the Rowan community.

Everything’s going so great ! It’s all so surreal to me I honestly love it ! So far ! Everyone’s nice and welcoming aswell I would love to stay here for the future

I mostly love it here because of the amenities and the events. There are some hiccups with people being loud at night and sometimes at the pool, but other than that it’s a great space that this apartment management has created. I feel safe and happy

I love the location, my sons school is right there and the metro is close but the trash shoot is always stuck and the tow truck drivers are insane.

Enjoyed my time living at Rowan for the past 2 years. Looking forward to renewing my lease. The maintenance and cleaning team are great. The rooftop could use a deep cleaning on the floors and in the pool but nonetheless I'm grateful to have one of the best rooftops in DC that is affordable.

I really enjoy my apartment—it's the perfect amount of space for me. However, I believe there are a few areas in the building that could be improved. First, the parking fees are quite high, and it would be great if there were options for affordable street parking nearby. Additionally, I’ve noticed some security concerns, as it’s easy for unauthorized individuals to gain access to the building. Enhancing security measures could help prevent thefts and make residents feel safer. Another point I’d like to raise is the cost of common area electricity. It seems reasonable for the building management to cover these costs instead of passing them on to residents. Lastly, I’m curious about the rationale behind rent increases when renewing leases. It would be a nice gesture to show appreciation for residents who choose to stay long-term by keeping their rental rates stable. Thank you for considering this feedback!

Great move in experience and leasing office. We were told the pool is heated and open year round but don't think it is true so make sure they're telling you the truth

I am a new resident ? so far I love it here , Ms . Uique gave me a tour that went go well . Living here is perfect has everything you need in your unit & community the Rowan is awesome .

I love living in Rowan the staff is nice and the building is amazing. If I had to say something bad, the metro noise gets a bit annoying, even with the windows closed.

Good building. I like the decor and amenities. Not noisy and everyone is respectful. Need better walkable store option in the area though for people without cars.

Love my apartment, the convenience and accessibility. I can’t wait until the summer time when the pool is open again. The only grow I have is the parking garage.

Nice amenities and a great Community. Up until this point repairs were fast but sometimes they mark them as resolved and they are not resolved.

Great price for being so close to the metro and in a new building. No pest issues, no noise issues, no cleanliness issues, etc. I've loved living here as the apartments are spacious, the windows are big and let a bunch of light in and the communitiy is nice.

I've been here over a year and the customer service has still been pretty good. The maintenance team is my favorite. I just wish that the events were still as good as they used to be.

I must attest that my experience with Rowan has been remarkable; they have out done any and every company in The District: from scheduling a tour to finally receiving good news that Approve Shield has given me a green light on my application status. I was approved yesterday and now I’m looking forward to the next step from Rowan leasing team. They know what sophistication really is. What a sustained success! Their communication is robust, not just their ability to provide unforgettable wraparound service. I knew when I went through the front entrance that this is where I would call home…permanently! They have sufficed all my needs. Rowan is a paradise with outstanding wealth of amenities! Please reconsider anywhere else you plan to move to; Rowan is first choice and outranks any management company in DC…. You’d be foolish to not select the obvious best. I will be a VERY satisfied resident, after I sign my lease! I can’t wait to move in and start decorating my little piece of heaven!!!!

This building was apparently designed with minimal parking with the expectation that residents would be more metro oriented. With that in mind, I don’t feel like they’ve factored that in throughout other areas. I wish there was an electronics recycling bin & a bin to get rid of unwanted clothing, etc. Just stuff that you could really only take care of with a vehicle. I also think the current recycling is confusing and they could put some effort into helpful signage. A lot of people don’t know much about recycling and just toss everything together. It’s unclear if we should be throwing glass in one place, cardboard in another , etc. There’s also a doggy grooming room which I feel is a waste of space. I wish they’d turn it into something that all residents could enjoy. Like a sauna or steam room or something. I do appreciate that there’s stagecoaches available. That’s my favorite part plus the gym is nice although I hardly use it lately

The building is excellent. The amenities are pretty good, and people at the front desk nice. However I think the building should push DC government to increase the security of the area.

I’ve really enjoyed living here. The amenities are great for both me and my dog. There is always something going on in the apartment whether that is group yoga or morning breakfast.

I cant wait to move in. I love my unit and its proximity to the elevator. Its a corner unit with amazing views and lots of natural lighting.

The apartment is really awesome and The environment is very beautiful and the rooms and lobby and building and pool view and balcony is wonderful in the entire Washington area. The Rowan name is also very good and good sound.. And the amenities was very good and the qualities and facilities are very very good and other options and insurance option is also good.

I like the tour that I went on The two bedroom two bath that's exactly what I was looking for closet space excellent. The people that work that have positive attitudes loved it feel comfortable and safe

I like the building. It’s nice. I cannot tell if the neighborhood has actually gotten safer or if things are just a little more quiet lately

Excellent amenities, great view from my unit, and a lovely community! I think this place is a great little gem tucked away from some of the busier areas of DC, but is still close to public transit and fun neighborhoods.

I love living here! The staff is phenomenal, the building is clean and well kept! I would highly recommend Rowan to somebody who wants to live in Washington, DC!

Regarding the community rooms, I am not a fan of the two guest policy. My girlfriend and I are in our 40’s and would like to invite another couple and their child over to enjoy the amenities. The two guest limit makes it an issue to host for the holidays or dinners with close friends and relatives. It’s not a great selling point for those who are looking for a new place to live.

Amazing staff and easy move-in process. I would definitely recommend looking into Rowan for anyone that is looking for a new apartment building with a solid community.

Since moving in the facility has continued to be top notch. The staff -especially the concierge team remains amazing. All of them have been wonderful, but most of my experience has been specifically Mary and Tanya who I’ve enjoyed getting to know and who are always on top of everything and happy to help.

I went through hell in this property, spent a huge amount of money trying to make it work, and then was charged to get out of the lease. This, after having asked a very specific question about the potential for adjacent construction and being told that none was scheduled. Later, neighborhood officials made it clear that property management prior to Rowan even being built, that a high rise would be constructed immediately across the street, starting a few months after I moved in. The property manager then confessed that she did know, but said the leasing agent did not. That is ridiculous. Either they lied, or their management is negligent. Take that for what you will. Then, I discovering that the air quality in the apartment was toxic, as verified an indoor air quality expert certified by DC. Beware the paint and caulking products are as he put it, 'bargain basement', as are the finishes. On trend, but cheap. The best feature was the washer/dryer. Now, it has been 75 days since I moved out, and I have not received my security deposit. My requests, and a demand letter, have been met with repeated, "Please verify your address." I've provided my address, in writing, more than 5 times. They took a screen shot of some accounting software saying they had sent a check. No tracking number, of course. Also, be aware, there are hidden fees 'based on usage'. So, you pay for the common space lighting and everything else the company does to run the building, with no control over the numbers. Over the course of the three months I paid for, I was actually in the apartment for less than 30 days. The rest of the time, I was in motels and airbnbs, trying to breathe clean air while I bought an expensive air cleaner and sought solutions so I could actually live there. And now, my deposit has been reduced by more than $40 for SEWER. Beware. This building is a hazard. Like a bad relationship, it looks good, and the people tell you what they think you want to hear, but they'll rip you off with a smile.

Have been here for a few days and already feel at home after moving from another state!! Love all of the features and amenities that the building has to offer!

Among all the stress moving causes, visiting this property was a very pleasant experience. In fact, even before touring the property, I was well greeted by the concierge. In addition, I was impressed with how clean everything looks and smells. The staff is always friendly and the train is just a few steps away. Every time I walk in the building I feel welcomed and no matter how my day was I can relax and know that a friendly face will greet me as I make it home.
