Chinatown, which is located on the southeast side of downtown, is part of the International District, along with Japantown and Little Saigon. It is one of Seattle’s eight historic neighborhoods, dating back to the mid-1800s. This popular community is home to some beloved locations, including Seattle’s first Chinese restaurant, Tai Tung, which opened in 1935. Other great locations include the New Century Tea Gallery, the historic Panama Hotel, and the Wing Luke Museum.
The photo-worthy Chinatown Gate, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, welcomes visitors to Chinatown. Rich with culture and community, Chinatown hosts a variety of events, including the Dragon Fest and the Lunar New Year Festival. Residents gather at the popular Hing Hay Park, which features an elegant pavilion and gate. The park hosts the popular night market, an open-air bazaar, every fall.

Property Ratings at Large Studio
This affordable building has cozy renovated units. Updated kitchens and bathrooms give the units a clean look and feel. Tall vaulted ceilings give the illusion that the rooms are bigger. The tenants are all for the most part very friendly and are all working professionals! The buildings allows dogs (and cats) of all sizes and shapes and is near a small international themed park. I've lived here for a year and a half and unfortunately the building was sold shortly after I moved in to a new property management company. I have dealt with some issues with my unit that were promised to get fixed via email before the building was sold. The new company hasn't honored the emails as proof and I am expecting the damages to come out of my security deposit when I move out. Property manager lives on site and is very responsive/helpful with everything else. Laundry room in building and extra storage available for $30(ish) a month. Perfect first apartment with minumum amenities. Close to all major bus routes as well as the tunnels/trains. Parking is expensive and hard to find, especially whenever there is an event! The events and business can get very annoying but if you can sleep through sirens and appreciate the life of the city then you will love this apartment building!
