Great community events, great amenities, and great people. Close to many stores, supermarkets, and restaurants. The community is very safe and the parking lot is safe too.
I have loved living at Gables Upper Kirby apartments. The amenities such as the pool and gym are great. Also, the community surrounding the apartment feels very safe and it is located within walking distance to several shops and restaurants.
It’s a wonderful building clean well taken care of and people are pleasant and kind. The office is always willing to help people and are very kind. The maintenance crew is very good and work fast and efficiently. The garage is a safe place for residents and visitors. I love my apartment and am so very comfortable here.
Experience has been good so far! Resident Staff has been super helpful in answering any questions I have and getting me squared away! Also Lawrence is Great!
I’ve enjoyed the Gables. It’s in the perfect location and I love my loft! I recently renewed my lease and will enjoy the next year as a resident.

I’ve lived here for 2 years and this is by far my favorite apartment. The neighborhood is very walkable, the management office is AMAZING, and maintenance is very quick to respond to requests. I highly recommend Upper Kirby!

Great location, but building is getting a little dated. Since the 2021 freeze, the building has consistently had water issues (I.e. burst pipes) and the garage doors constantly break.
I love it here! It’s nice and quiet and they are constantly making new changes to be more visibly appealing! Management is also extremely nice
The place is gorgeous. Always clean. Plenty of parking lots. People are nice (workers and residents). Location is just amazing, close to grocery stores, bars, parks and pharmacies. The pool view is great. You can see downtown area. The gym is great.
Our experience with Kirby has been very good so far except for a noise complaint that we have complained about to management for several months now with no positive results. The tenants above our apartment makes loud banging noises above us . We complained to management but the noise continues. We were told to call the residence officer still with no resolution.
Gables Upper Kirby is an amazing community! I’ve been here a few years and you can’t beat the location. Close to everything and the views are amazing! Staff and sense of security are everything. I’ll definitely be renewing again!
I’ve lived at gables for 3 years and so far it has been a great experience. The maintenance team is wonderful and leasing office is always willing to help; however the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors walking.

Safe environment for the most part. Unexpected fire alarms at odd hours of the night. Neighbors are nice. Maintenance is good. Area isn't very walkable. Not great place for dogs.
I have moved here for about two weeks so far. The application process was pretty smooth, thanks to Tori. It is clean, safe, and location cannot be beat.
We love it here. Maintenance and the Leasing Office are on top of everything at all times. Whenever we have a problem, they are very quick at resolving it.
I guess the walls are super thick because I never hear my neighbors. Also, when I play music out loud and then leave the apartment, I can’t hear a thing after I close the door. The maintenance team is quick, friendly and respectful of my preference not to get into the apartment when I’m not there. Only issues I’ve had is that getting my mail is very difficult and the dog park is in poor condition.
I’ve been living here for 3 years and love everything about this place. Maintenance is amazing. The grounds are kept up. Amenities are amazing and the views are incredible. Love calling this place home!
I have lived at gables for 3.5 years. So far my experience has been really good. There are two things I don’t love, parking for guests and the mail situation.
Have been part of the community for 4 years. No complaints about staff. Great place to live. Quiet with lots of community events. Public areas are very clean and cared for. Staff are very friendly. I only wish that they went back to storage lockers. I am not a fan of the forced use of fetch. Add 1 day to any packages you are expecting.
4mos later and I’m still enjoying my living experience at The Gables. The build stays clean and maintenance is always prompt. I look forward to the future of my time here at The Gables.
Seems to be more dirty than a few years ago. Love the location and space in the one bedroom. Needs better security especially at night. Enjoy being around so many places to eat.
The apartments are nice. Community is welcoming, ability to connect with residents at events. The staff are Friendly and welcoming, available to help when needed.
I love the building and design on apartment. It is very nice that cleaning employee did the job early morning. Since I moved to the Upper Kirby, I never thinks that I made wrong steps. Nice people at the office. Why 4 stars, because the last got we have and nose, at korridors, not easy sleep at night. Wish everyone quickly repair and all staff and tenant health, good weather& Happenes.??
Lived here for 4 years without any issues. Staff are all nice. Amenities are good. Quiet area. In addition it’s located in a great area with many walkable restaurants and Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s are very close as well.
The management with Gables has been extremely unhelpful with issues since we have lived here. One of the tenants drops empty beer cans off of their balcony and into other tenants patios. The management refuses to do anything to address this problem without telling this tenant who is complaining about him. It is extremely frustrating that the management allows tenants to act with such disrespect towards other's living spaces. Although this is an otherwise beautiful living space with great amenities in a great location, these issues have ruined our experience living here.

Just moved in and I love it. Apartment was very clean; I was given toiletries, water, cleaning supplies, etc. on move in day. What a treat for moving day. Anxious to get moved in to start enjoying all the amenities. Great area for shopping and the restaurants are amazing.

Phase 2 is the step child of the complex. Don't live there. First, the rent escalation is not justified. The building has become overpriced--you don't get any bang for buck as far as amenities go. Among the multitude of issues: the valet trash services are straight up theft. You pay monthly to have someone come and walk your trash can at absolute most 40 feet to trash chute. It does the residents no good, it's just (mandatory) extra money straight into Gables' pocket. Parking is tight, there are barely enough spaces for the residents. Even so, some are allowed to stow away extra cars that never move in the valuable garage spaces. If any guests park in the garages, it's game over. There will not be a parking spot for a resident and you'll wind up on the street. Parking is NEVER enforced. They've never towed anybody. So you end up paying high dollar for an apartment, but having to leave your car on the street. Pass on Gables Upper Kirby.
I hate to even tell anybody about this place but it is absolutely fantastic. The apartments themselves are top notch in design and well appointed, The floors are real hard wood and the granite countertops are excellently coordinated with the the trim and paint. The building is well maintained, I know it's new, but the staff mops, cleans and vacuums daily. Aside from that, the staff is top notch, responsive and friendly. The location couldn't be any better and is walking distance from some of the best restaurants in Houston and only a few minutes from the Houston Zoo, Allen Parkway, the Galleria and major highways. Anyone that chooses this property is treating themselves to the best.
The Gables Upper Kirby Phase III is new construction in the heart of Houston. Having lived in various other locations in the city deemed to be "perfect", this one actually is. The apartment itself is perfect. Real hardwood floors, premium carpeting, color coordinated granite, built in desks(some units), huge bedrooms and a very helpful, courteous staff. The amenities are a very cozy pool with a large courtyard area and a gym that has all of the essentials. No doubt though, the real star is the location. Everything is within walking distance and if it isn't its a short drive. The Houston Galleria? Ten minutes away. The Houston Zoo? Ten Minutes Away. The Medical Center? 10 minutes away. Long story short, this apartment is by far my favorite place I've lived and I'm sure my neighbors feel the same.
