I am extremely pleased to have lived in Gables Metropolitan Uptown for just over a year now. Thank you very much to the management and staff of Gables Metropolitan Uptown for making me feel like a homeowner here, not a tenant. We recommend it to everyone who wants to live here like a homeowner rather than a tenant.
For the most part the facility is great and maintenance is top tier. They come either same day or the next day and get things done. They are nice
I have been here for 4 years and have really enjoyed the location it is fantastic …. The apartments themselves are decent and the Front Office Staff is okay along with the maintenance crew but my only issue is the lack of communication with the property themselves on helping figuring out a way to get my account current and in good standing once again to continue my stay with the property unfortunately but I would recommend the complex ????
Management is very complacent about noise and tenants breaking the rules in general. If you are stuck with a bad neighbor, you are on your own!
Great place to live! I love the location and how well kept the buildings feels. Staffs are always helpful and other residents are always friendly :)
Best place ever to live. GMU is my home sweet home. I love this place, love staffs and neighbors around me. Space surrounded with plenty green trees which are blooming all year long.
I’ve loved living here so far. No issues and management is really professional. Amenities are great and parking is never an issue. Maintenance is always quick and they have event for the community often.
We have been living here for over 3 years now. It’s nearby for my kid’s school and the neighborhood is good. The community has a new look with painting job.

Overall I give a 4 out of 5. Staff are nice and helpful, especially the maintenance guys who are punctual and efficient and always wear good smiles. Several things to improve: 1. Most of delivery guys have difficulty in finding the vehicle entrance of the property even if I provided guidance; 2. The guest password for vehicle entrance never works; 3. A bit noisy at night with windows closed.
I love living in the gables metropolitan everything is good the people and the neighbors they good too the pool area is nice the Gym the mantenimiento is very nice ??
For the most part we feel safe and the people in the community are nice as well. The location is great not to far from the airport or downtown and the galleria area feels like you have everything in about a 10 minute area depending on what you are looking for.

I like the area But The pool is a mess at hight loud music without any control from the management The gates are broken most of the time But I give a plus for the location

I have had a very positive experience so far. Myra has been fantastic. My apartment was clean and well prepared for my move in. I liked the welcome tote bag of needed items.
Besides the plumbing issues hopefully being fixed I am content here. No issues, the head maintenance man is very nice and helpful. Gables -try it.
It's going great. The apartment is pretty, we got the apartment we always wanted, clean, subtle and specialty the view is great from here. Furthermore, the pool has a good vibe too.

Been living here 2 years. Great location! I liked the place. New management team not responsive at all. Only 1 person out of the whole management team will try to help you, otherwise you are on your own!
The management was excellent and very prompt. Myra is my favorite, very courteous, very response and goes an extra mile to make you feel at home

The apartment is clean. Maintenance team is very friendly and quick. Pool is always clean and filtered. There is quite some noise as its near to road.
It’s our fourth year here in Gables. It’s a good neighborhood with school, restaurants, stores and mall in nearby distance. Maintenance team are doing a great job and they are prompt most times. Roaches problem is there now and then.
What a great experience living here. The management is really amazing and so helpful when I needed it. The maintenance is timely and helpful and I loved how they make sure common grounds are immaculate.. They’re always proactive with updating the areas and overall really happy living here for almost 3 and a half years now…
We have really enjoyed our time living at Gables Metropolitan Uptown for the past two years. I have been continually impressed by how quickly maintenance requests are taken care of.
Literally have had roaches for years, no treatments work after many different companies & evicting tenants around my unit, tried to move to a new unit to flee the roaches and was told I don’t qualify so I’m stuck in a unit w/ roaches because if I move I have to pay all because they can’t rid their roaches that are mating in my cabinets daily & my apartment is extremely clean and was told I am not the source.
The people in the leasing office are so nice and helpful as well as the people in the community. The apartment is clean and neat. Moreover, the facilities are new and clean and tennis court one of the best court in Houston.
Friendly, quiet and clean community. Favorable distance to a lot of places in Houston, and walking distance to the galleria! Also, pet friendly!
The people that live here are as unfriendly as the leasing staff. They will be sure to be very nice though when it comes time to renew. Can't wait to move out.
This started off as a very nice place to live 3 years ago. Since then, it’s gone up in price $500 . The maintenance team can not seem to fix my air conditioner, despite “attempts” to fix it 4 times. The people around the complex are loud, rude, vandals, people who knock on your door at all hours of the night as a practical joke, and continuously smoke throughout the apartments and around the complex despite it being a no smoking complex. The leading staff has some very friendly and kind workers, but most of them have been rude and unhelpful. They also force you to use a delivery service that regularly arrives late, or not at all, and then makes your actual original delivery late since it had to go through them first. The entrance is in the back which is very difficult for any delivery service. They have left my door unlocked when doing one of there many walkthroughs for no reason and the constantly have to turn the water off because they don’t have the correct plumbing parts. Trash.
Basically the service is good except the bad attitude of some leasing officers here. They communicate with me like police, very bossy. It maked me so stressed especially for some first months of living here. They rarely listen to understand the problems facing the residents so that they can give prompt helps in time. I received very less assistance when first started my living here. For example, the rooftop suddenly leaked at midnight when I newly moved in the apartment. I sent email to the leasing office at once. Then a leasing officer was angry badly with me on phone because I had sent them email for that case while didn't tell me what should I do instead. She forced me to come back home immediately without concerning how far I was from home and what business I had at that time. She acted like I made the roof leaked. In fact I and my family were the victims. Many neighbors have the same complaint but they don't believe any improvement will happen if they share their thought.

It is all good so far. The apartment has already shown its age, needs a lot of maintenance, but it is convenience to go to Galleria and most of the places within 15 minutes.
Gables Metropolitan Uptown is a good place to live. It is located in the wonderful area of Galleria. The management is so pending of your needs and resolve all the problems that you may have in a very efficient way. Gables is a great place to live!
It’s good to live in here! I’m really happy that I chose this apartment. The swimming pool is amazing. Especially when it’s hot. I don’t regret living here.
I love The Gables. I feel it could use some upgrades considering the location and there are occasional loud goings on at night but I’m impressed with security I’ve noticed . Thanks Gables
Place is ok rent has gone up. Management is hard to reach at times. Management does not make you aware that maintenance may enter your apartment at least 24 hours in advance. I have come into my apartment and notice the lights were changed and no one told me anything that someone had changed them are were going to change them.

Been living at Gables Uptown for about 18 months and it's been great! They the grounds clean and neat. Location is definitely a huge plus. More importantly, the staff is very friendly
I have been at the complex for eight years. The safe atmosphere and welcoming management have made it amazing. The pool upgrades and the location are also another reason why this place is great!
I like the place. Though its a old property, but its renovated very well. The location is the best. All the stores, pharmacy, food joints are near by. You can have a view of William Tower as well. It's a bit noisy, the hallways can be cleaned and managed well.
Maintenance team is prompt with the maintenance requests being addressed and they do a good and neat job. Community has got a new look with the painting !
Apartment area is kept safe and maintenance is taken care of quickly. Clean amenities! The renovated apartments are nice, I would stay here again!
The management team are really nice. Good price for space and location. But unfortunately we have to move out because of serious pest issues in the particular apartment unit I’m residing.
Gables Metropolitan Uptown is an excellent apratment to live as it has all amenities and also near all places like school and office. People working in Gables Metropolitan are very friendly and supportive.
