Encore Montrose

I have resided in this property for more than four years, and it’s gone downhill. To begin, the elevator has been inoperable for over three months, which is entirely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the competence of the management team. Additionally, the hallway adjacent to my apartment consistently emits an odor of dog urine, and residents frequently disregard basic guidelines by leaving their trash on the floor outside their units rather than utilizing the designated trash receptacles. Management appears indifferent to these issues and has offered no form of compensation for the prolonged elevator outage. When we initially selected our unit, we specifically chose one in close proximity to the elevator for its convenience, which justified the premium rental rate. If you are considering relocating to this property, I strongly advise exploring alternative options, as the present management has proven to be a significant disappointment, with communication being virtually nonexistent.

I would love to give the apartment a 5 star rating but the 3 three months have been disappointing. The elevator that is right by our unit (which I view as one of the perks justifying the rent) has been out of service since early June. I understand it being out for a week or two, but 3 months is just not ok. Our parking spots are right by the elevator in the garage, and the nearest stairwell to the garage is halfway across the building. And groceries are very inconvenient. At this point, I feel like it would be justified to get some discount on our rent for the massive inconvenience this has caused. To put it into perspective, the elevator had been out of service for half the time that I have lived here. Another issue I have is the strong smell of dog pee in the hall that has been there for months. I reached out to community management in July to see what could be done about this, and two months later, no response, and I get to smell pee when I walk down the hallway everyday.

Encore Montrose is a beautiful building with well-maintained amenities. I recommend for the location and the comfort of the apartment. There are a few concerns regarding security, but the majority of my experience has been pleasant.

Leasing office provides active support for renters and kindly consider the move-in process. This is really helpful to select Encore for the next home.

Love the apartment overall! Management is super nice and helpful. The location is close to lots of attractions, groceries, shopping areas, restaurants, and downtown and feels safe and secure.

Living at this residence has been a great experience. The apartment was well-maintained, the community felt safe and friendly, and any maintenance requests were handled promptly.

So far everything is great— Kyle walked me through everything leaving me with little to no questions. The location is great and the surrounding community feels safer than most in the area.

The staff at Encore are super nice and the building has amazing amenities! The building is located in an awesome, walkable part of town with so many fun things to do around it. Cannot beat grabbing a coffee at Black Hole and walking around the neighborhood.

Great apartment in a quiet, safe neighborhood—plus it’s just a short walk to the best BBQ restaurant in town! The unit is bright, clean, and well-maintained with modern appliances and a lovely balcony. Management is responsive, and maintenance is quick. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort and convenience.

Lovely community with great staff. Clean, well made and practical appliances. Been living here to 2 years, couldn't wish for a better place that has a great location too.

The complex overall feels safe, and the maintenance team is very responsive to service requests! The walls are pretty thin so sometimes the neighbors are not very considerate of other people, but overall I like where I am living right now!

Very loud and annoying neighbors. Great maintenance staff. Neighborhood and location is great. Elevators and gates are always broken and takes awhile to fix.

Friendly staff, efficient maintenance, quiet neighborhood, good amenity and reasonable rent! My issues with the apartment are all solved within one to two days and no complaint at all!

I will ALWAYS say that we have the most amazing Maintenance Team in the world! These guys get in and get it done. I know they are not responsible for the headaches from the elevators being down, but they are still available to assist at stair entrances and garage gates. They are truly the best part of my last few years..

Rent prices are very reasonable given the location, neighborhood, staff, and building condition. Maintenance is very responsive, and all staff are very very helpful and friendly. The gym is a bit small, but otherwise a great place to live!

Overall, the apartment complex is relatively clean and quiet. The gym is nice, and I enjoy both the upstairs and downstairs gyms. The dog park is very spacious (will be using once I get my own dog). And the garage being split on two separate floor is nice because it doesn’t take forever to exit the garage. My only complaint so far is the highway noise since my unit faces the road.

Have lived here for close to 2 years now. Has been the best apartment experience I have had. It is very clean, quiet, and in a great location with a neighborhood HEB within walking distance and close access to the highway. Staff is always friendly and helpful when I've had the rare issue.

So far everything is great. Great staff and neighborhood and complex. Peaceful and calm place. Near museums and tucked away from the hectic city.

I exclusively used apartment.com reviews when looking for somewhere to live so I thought it was only fair to write my own about the apartment I chose. I’ve lived here 6 months and can’t speak highly enough about it. Hats off to management here, friendly front desk staff who are always willing to assist. Any maintenance issues are fixed within 24-48 hours. Clean pool, gym, and common spaces. Parking garage is safe. AMAZING location. My only word of warning is that there is street noise from the highway if you life in a highway facing or side view. It doesn’t really bother me, but I know it would be annoying to some. It can also be loud outside laying by the pool. BUT the building can’t control that. Everything they can control is well done!

Move In was extremely smooth and all the staff are super helpful! The amenities at encore montrose are great and the building itself is very clean.

The Encore Montrose complex is in a convenient part of Houston for access to Medical Center, Museum District, Midtown, and Galleria. It has a relaxed vibe and convenient coffee shop next door.

The maintenance team are the greatest part of the property. Management are clueless. Every other day the elevator(s), garage gates or lighting is an issue.

I originally loved this place but the honeymoon phase is over. The huge dog park was great until you realized many people are not cleaning up after their dogs. The location is still fantastic if you work in the med center, and I think management tries. But so much trash everywhere now, especially the dog park and stairwells. Many smokers are on the premises. It's just not enough to love it. And the break-ins without any word from management.

Encore Montrose is a well maintained and very quiete Apartment complex. The maintenance is super fast and the office will always answer the phone or be there to help you resolve any issue you have. It truly feels like home and makes it living here so easy.

Staff are friendly and building is kept clean. Location is great. I’m glad I chose this place to move into. I don’t have to worry about my car getting broken into or having loud neighbors.

This building has so many problems that need to be addressed. The elevators break every single month. Something needs to be done about this. It’s incredibly inconvenient especially for residents that live on the 4th floor and park on P2. The trash smelling up the hallways is incredibly disgusting and other apartment buildings don’t have this issue. The overall cleanliness of the building needs to be addressed. I’ve seen roaches in the hallways, and one entered my apartment. The carpets in the hallways are foul smelling and dirty. They should be cleaned on a regular basis and the property needs to be sprayed for pests. This apartment community is disgusting and I cannot wait until my lease is up so I can move out. Would never live here or recommend anyone here. Absolutely horrible experience living here.

I enjoy living here at Encore Montrose. The common areas are well maintained. The staff is also very helpful. Any issues I’ve had they always try to resolve them as quickly as possible.

Good place to live. Staff has always been helpful kind courteous and respectful. I’ve had not major issues since living here and any issues that arise are quickly addressed.

Leasing office agents and maintenance guys are nice. Apartment loses power often and takes awhile to restore. Could be worse though. Can’t complain.

I am a new resident at Encore Montrose. The entire experience so far has been amazing. From the initial tour, to the move-in, the management team has been topnotch. And the property is safe, beautiful and in an amazing location. I plan on making this my home for a long time.

Encore is a beautiful apartment complex and wonderful if you have dogs. The real-grass dog park is perfect for dog lovers. When friends and family visit they love the layout of our apartment and always admire the high ceilings and fixtures. It’s very well maintained. I also feel very safe in this complex.

The building is in great state, the apartment itself is just as shown online. I was out of state so I couldn't do a physical visit to the property, but the online pictures and 3D models of the apartments are very accurate depictions. I've only had minor problems in the 2 weeks of living here, like the AC and ceiling fans making a lot of noise, someone parking on my assigned parking spot, the wifi of the amenities not working, and my pre-installed wifi being disconnected. It is a little annoying but overall I enjoy how quiet it is.

This is a very clean building, with beautiful amenities. My apartment was exactly as I saw it online and it is exactly what I was looking for. Love living here so far!

This is the best appartment build around. Clean amenities, friendly staff, great pool, maintenance requests are taken care of quick, and always a job well done.

This is my 2nd year here and I cannot say enough about management, staff, or the community. I almost did not renew my lease, but Ren was so amazing at helping to meet my needs and finding me a bigger place right here. I am excited to say I transferred into a larger unit and I am so pleased. Great location! Great, modern apartments. Clean premises

Encore Montrose is a World Class Apartment Complex! I’d rate it 10 stars not 5 after living in the Complex for 3.5 years and having spent 40 years living in apartment complexes in more than 20 locations in the US, Europe and Africa as career USAF! Greystar truly cares about the upkeep, aesthetics and maintenance of its properties! Want to reemphasize that they truly care about providing a beautiful, clean and well maintained complex from the flowers in the yards to the grass being mowed weekly to a clean and well maintained pool to carpets constantly being cleaned, small scuff marks being painted over and any elevator being down an immediate priority! Management, Staff and Maintenance are always friendly, courteous, responsive and timely to comments, issues and need for repairs! Best Complex I have ever lived in 40 years of Apartment Living! Well worth the price of an apartment for the care given to the complex and the high quality of the staff! I would definitely recommend renting an apartment at the Encore Montrose!

I love the offers they have for residents as well as special events! Im feeling spoiled and I only been here a month.

The pool is very nice and has a fantastic view, the common area has free coffee and the gym is very clean. The neighbors are quiet and the location is amazing. Many good restaurants around.

I have been living at the Encore Montrose for almost a month and I'm happy with my experience. The main reason why I choose the encore is because it is well located (walking distance from Rice, the museum district, and hermann Park) but still in quieter (and more affordable) area. The staff is also super helpful, especially compared to my previous apartment. One concern I had is that my apartment faces the freeway, but I quickly realized that the noise doesn't bother me. I'm glad I found this place and can call it home!

Been living in the apartment complex for the past few months. The experience here has been great, I lived all my life in a house and I was very scared to come to an apartment complex due to many issues we often hear from people. For my surprise Encore was more then I expected, the level of noise is low, the tenants are friendly and staff, its dog friendly environment and the location feels safe.

I highly recommend the Encore Montrose Apartment Complex and Community. The Management Staff is World Class! Upkeep to the complex is constant and continuous whether flowers at the entry to cleaning of rugs and painting of scuff marks on walls. Repairs are handled immediately and the maintenance staff is first class and very friendly! Most importantly Management kept us safe prior to and during COVID immediately instituting and reinforcing COVID CDC Guidelines like mask wearing, limited numbers of people and social distancing in elevators and common spaces and constant sanitization of common spaces. The Gym and its equipment with a separate Yoga space and preprogrammed exercise programs is excellent! The amenities whether the year round heated pool or barbecue grills are well maintained, cleaned and first rate! The Party Space with coffee bars, large screen TV and a complete kitchen are great for parties! Having a Business space with two computers and a printer is really nice! Prior to COVID Management hosted fun activities like wine parties to meet neighbors, food vans of different surprise menus and a security night on personal protection which were all excellent! Security with use of fobs to access spaces and onsite police officer is excellent! The surrounding neighborhood is safe for walking at night! You could not ask for a better Management, Maintenance and Friendly, Safe Space than the Encore Montrose Apartment Complex in the vibrant Montrose District of Houston! The complex is definitely 10 stars!

Living at Encore has been an amazing experience. I love the amenities at my community and the atmosphere the management created; making it feel like home. The location is honestly the best because its central to all desired areas in the inner loop. Overall the community and location is great; the neighborhood is fun and there is always something new to explore!
