Property Ratings at ELofts
Elofts is by far the best apartment community I’ve ever lived in. The residents are great, the spaces are phenomenal, and everyone on staff goes above and beyond. So thankful to call Elofts home!
I truly enjoy living in this community! The management office is always so helpful and attentive—whenever I need something, they take care of it right away. The maintenance team is absolutely amazing; every request is handled on time, no matter the day, even on weekends. The apartment itself is fantastic—very spacious with a huge living room, an amazing walk-in closet, and a large bathroom that makes it feel extra comfortable. The neighborhood is just as wonderful: very safe, dog-friendly, and welcoming. I love that it’s so close to Old Town and D.C., with plenty of shops and great parks all within walking distance. It really feels like home here, and I couldn’t be happier!
The maintenance team is outstanding!! They respond quickly, get the work done, and are kind and respectful! A !
I’ve been at eLofts since March of 2024 and have enjoyed so many things! I was drawn to eLofts because of their location, unique loft style design, and dog friendly environment. I have truly enjoyed both the office and maintenance staff, all of which have been super responsive anytime I’ve had an issue. Parking under the building is super convenient and anything can be delivered to your door in 30 minutes. The views from the 12th floor are awesome, day or night!
I toured at least 10 apartments around the alexandria area and chose elofts due to its unique look, safety systems, and quiet community. It's Dog friendly, has simple amenities, and a large green space.
Been a lot of changes and constant construction noise
Location, amenities and overall attention from management throughout the application to move-in date are outstanding and greatly appreciated. I look forward to future residence at Elofts.
I’ve been living here for about 9 months now and will start off by saying don’t get swindled into living here because it’s “luxury”. Literally the only thing I like about living here is the amount of apartment space you get for a 1 bedroom compared to everywhere else I looked. You are paying for the space not the luxury. I’ve had so many issues and I haven’t even been here a year. - my dishwashers racks were rusted and the filter inside was filthy. When I called for maintenance they just replaced the racks . Not even inspecting for other issues. - at first there were no assigned maintenance staff! The guy who worked on a garbage disposal issue was from another property. He even told me how bad the maintenance is at the apartment. Like that’s crazy ! When I first moved into apartment the hot water tank room door was open, and me not knowing I opened the door thinking it was a closet . A small blue tank fell towards me and I immediately closed the door. The same guy told me that it could have been way worse and was relieved that I was ok. He had to make with what he had and drill zip ties to hold the tank up TEMPORARILY. He proceeded to say that it is still not safe and it may not hold for too long. Nothing has been done since then even after their so called “inspections”. - I was locked out of my apartment. I sat in the hallway for 3 hours until someone finally came and that’s when I was told that my request was not an emergency. After I called over 30 times. Another resident sat with me until they came for my safety. - my fridge has dents in it from slamming against the wall since a piece of the fridge is broken. Apparently there is no fix for that. - sometimes when I cut my bathroom water on first thing in the morning it smells like rotten eggs. I think that comes from bacteria in the pipes or something . It isn’t harmful but def not the first thing I want to smell in the morning. - my kitchen faucet is packed with gunk and hard water stains that of course I have to fix myself. But it was like that when I moved in. Didn’t think I had to put in a work order for cleaning! - I clogged my toilet and put in a work order for them fix it. They came and cleared the bowl out but the next time I tried to use the toilet the water that comes from the rim was not working. Literally had tissue sticking to the sides. Not even two days after the toilet clogged again b/c it wasn’t getting the proper water flow to push everything down.

Hello User, Thank you for your review. We are looking into this issue and hope to resolve it promptly and accurately. We hope you can give us the chance to turn your experience around. Sincerely, Monica R.
Prefacing this with this is my own personal opinion. I lived here for a year and did not renew my lease because I dreaded nearly every second of it. I’m am so excited to move out. The building is poorly constructed, so if you are sensitive to noise, this place is not for you. I went to bed every night, for a year, with air pods or ear plugs in because I had neighbors above me that liked to stomp around during the day when I was working from home and until 2 or 3 am. I rarely enjoyed a moment of peace or quiet in my apartment and it did not feel like a home because I was always anxious and could never relax. I complained several times to management to please warn my neighbors to tread lightly. They rarely responded and the one time they did, they said to get used to “apartment noise”. Even after letting them know I slept with ear plugs. Honestly, I felt deceived moving into this building because I broke my lease at my prior apartment (due to the same issue but 10x worse), to move here under the guise that there is absolutely no noise and because there is concrete in the ceiling, that it is impossible to hear footsteps. That was a lie. Turnover in management is also frequent. Management changed three times during the period I was there, so it’s difficult to form any consistent communication or relationship with management teams. All in all, if you’re ok with noise then you may enjoy your unit, and there is a lot of space and nice windows with good natural light. But all of that is not worth living here. I am not sure if the noise is consistent throughout the building and I got unlucky with my unit. But I wouldn’t risk taking the chance because once you sign the lease you are stuck unless you want to pay 4K+ to break your lease.

On behalf of all of us at eLofts, thanks for your continued residency! Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any thoughts as to how we can improve our level of service even more.
Honestly I love my own apartment. But, theres always something wrong at eLofts. Whether the ceiling is getting redone, no water for an entire day, trash chute not cooperating, the gate to the parking garage not opening, painting in the front of the building, service requests not being answered/corrected, mail being lost. Theres always something. But with all of that, I am easily pleased. And my apartment has a beautiful view in the 8th floor with gorgeous huge windows. My closet is as big as a room. The ceilings are so high. My shower is gigantic. I love my apartment so much. I searched for months to find this and am happy I picked it. Hopefully all of these issues will start to cease with time.

Please let us know if any of these concerns have not been addressed and we'd be happy to assist! Wishing you all the best! e-lofts Management
Property Manager at ELofts, Responded To This Review
Hello! Thank you for bringing these items to our attention! We certainly understand these maintenance items can be frustrating. Hopefully now with the fresh paint completed and other property upgrades you feel better about the conditions here at e-lofts. We were also able to partner with the city to keep residents updated about the water, and provide bottled water to residents while the city repaired the water main break, hopefully it wasn't too disruptive. We are also completing weekly audits of the package room, so please feel free to stop by the office if you ever need assistance finding mail. Please reach out to the office if there is anything else we can help with!
The building is an office that means you can hear everything and I do mean everything that your neighbor does. So if that is the kind of living you want then you’ve found your place to call home
