The Ellipse At Fairfax Corner Apartments are located in a beautiful setting with many trees, close to shopping, walking, and transit. The exterior of the apartments was fairly recently painted and the grounds are typically kept mowed and clean. Maintenance has a quick response time. It’s a nice place to call home.

I love living here! It is safe, the staff is very responsive, the maintenance team does great work in a timely manner and Greystar keeps the property in great condition. It is a great location for shopping, groceries, walking or bicycling. I have lived here for 2 years and just renewed for a third year.

The maintenance manager has a very poor communication skills and he was acting very disrespectful and this issue needs to be addressed so it doesn’t happen again

While the Ellipse at Fairfax Corner is not a luxury apartment experience, it is still good value for the area. The crime is low, shopping is close and highways easy to get to. Most residents are courteous about neighbors. It’s a mixed community of young people, families and older people. I would recommend living here to friends.

Ellipse is great place to live. They take very good care of the property and spare no expense for upkeep. It’s a great location for grocery shopping and retail shopping! Wegmans grocery store is within walking distance, Fairfax Corner is 5 minutes away with great restaurants and shopping. Fair Oaks mall is about 10 minutes away! I highly recommend Ellipse at Fairfax Corner!!

I love living at Ellipse at Fairfax Corner! The company cares about our community. I have lived here a little over a year and in that time, they have: painted the outside of all the buildings, resealed the parking lots and repainted the lines. The staff is friendly, professional and proficient. They have Amazon lockers here which is great for package safety. The location is very convenient for shopping, restaurants and grocery shopping. I highly recommend Ellipse at Fairfax Corner!

Ellipse at Fairfax Corner apartment complex is a nice area to live on. It is safe and the community is at a good location for grocery shopping and close to 66 freeway.

My unit was not move-in ready until I was already moved in for a month, submitting repair requests myself. They didn’t even have a physical set of keys for me on my move-in date. I was told to wait while they got a new key cut on move-in day. Issues: Closet door was off the tracks, screen door was off the tracks, baseboards in kitchen weren’t finished (the kitchen was not going under any type of remodel so I’m unsure why this was the case), garbage disposal was inoperable, mailbox key didn’t work, and most importantly the carpet was in terrible condition. They did not replace the carpet in between tenants and it took a month for my carpet to be approved to be replaced. I had to wake up in the morning and return to a carpet that REEKED of animal urine. I wasn’t able to unpack completely since I was at the will of the leasing office as to when my carpet would be replaced. After requesting a discounted rent for the following month, I was politely declined and not given a reason - even after stating I was uncomfortable to live in my own apartment. They no-called, no-showed two days in a row - I never got a clear answer as to why no one showed up for the ENTIRE day. I had to reach out to Fairfax County Consumer Affairs for a response and resolution (very helpful service offered to county residents free of charge). The unit was NOWHERE near move-in ready when I was handed the keys. Prepare for a bumpy move-in experience if you decide to lease here… you’d be better off signing a lease elsewhere.

I went to visit this property as a walk in and was told it was too late to view a unit, understandable. Called to schedule an appointment only for them to cancel it the next day. Made another appointment only for them to tell me it's cancelled with no explanation. I was really looking forward to viewing this property, I'm no longer interested due to the poor customer service. I can imagine what it's like for residents who may need immediate attention. NO THANK YOU!

Looking for a community with professional and friendly staff and a maintenance team that is quick to respond? Try the Ellipse at Fairfax Corner. This complex has a good mix of families with children, students, professionals, and retirees. The grounds are well groomed and the pool is a real plus during the summer months. My unit must be at the lower end, because it's not "luxury" by any means, but from the photos online, there must be some upgraded units that look VERY nice. Be sure you are dog friendly if you apply to live here as dogs, and cats, are welcome and the staff is good with them when they visit the office. I would invite anyone to come tour the complex and see for themselves. It's a nice place to call HOME.

Ellipse is a very nice location and community. The apartment layout is very nice and everything is very convenient. I've enjoyed my stay so far very much!

I could go on about the number of issues I've had with living here, but the biggest one is the lack of communication. There have been instances when I have sent multiple emails, left multiple voicemails, and never received a response until I physically went into the office. They say that they're short staffed, but the level of neglect is unreasonable. My advice is to explore all of your other options first and to make sure you get to see your unit before you move in. You won't be looking around the unit for long before you start to see problems.

The community is nice and the apartment is spacious. The leasing team made it easy to tour and apply. My move in process was simple and the apartment was extremely clean.

Average - appliances - oven, dishwasher, microwave are old and outdated. carpeting and flooring needs replacing and work done to repair ac and water leaks have left gaps in wall that were not finished. Kitchen cabinet covers are cracked. Obviously, I pay less rent compared to the refurbished units and so Ellipse will not upgrade until I move out.

My experience here has been fantastic, after ten years living here. ,I've not had any issues, apart from trash pick ups and the usual community ups and downs e.g summer clean up like power wash of stairs. Besides that ,My community has everything at your finger tips, best of everything, schools, Parks. shopping centers and grocery stores, Surrounded by Tech Beltway, 66,for travelers like us Dulles Express.. Thats my community . I love it

Ellipse at Fairfax Corner has a nice community. The staff work hard to provide events to help anyone get to know neighbors who wants to. Maintenance is quick and thorough. The office staff is friendly and professional. I’ve been here a short time but I’m already feeling like I can make it a home.

Ellipse Is a beautiful and safe community to live and work. We are surrounded by great store and restaurants; movie theaters and grocery store all close. For families. with school aged children we have preschool to elementary school and high school or close and not forgetting (GMU) Fairfax is also known for its beautiful parks for all sorts of age groups, bickers, walkers' joggers and keep in mind the Aquatics. The other amazing thing about my neighborhood is the advantage of the Government Center and Safety headquarters all at out fingertip Another good thing about Ellipse is the location keeping in mind public transportation is funtastic, you can ride on 99 on 66 at your leisure all the way to downtown DC .And thats why I like and Love where I live.....

Ellipse is a great Apt with great amenities. It’s a nice place to live …just don’t come with high hopes for maintenance.

If you're looking for a nice place to live, with attentive and quick maintenance following a request, Ellipse at Fairfax Corners is a good choice. The office staff are very pleasant! Concerns are met quickly. These are not luxury apartments, but they are very clean, and well maintained.

The community is lovely and quiet. It is very close to work therefore I am not in a lot of traffic. I love the space and layout of the unit.

This is my 3rd time living here and I love it. The apartments are clean, spacious and affordable. The location is excellent for easy access to grocery shopping, restaurants and shopping.

Living here has been very family friendly and easy to navigate. In our short time, we have already befriended several neighbors. The community is clean and quiet and close to everything in Fairfax.

So far, it’s great here! Quiet (except for construction noise, that’s subjective from person to person), beautiful unit, landscapers do a good job. Mailman is great, Zach and Sarah at the office have made Herculean efforts to improve things compared to previous years’ reviews. They’re superstars and addressed all of my worries upfront and truthfully (this is rare for apartment community offices). Cons: -Having to go to the office in person to get a guest parking pass -plumbing is weird (you have to flush twice for solids) -easy to hear neighbors upstairs, but it’s just the laminate floors. -light switches are in odd places, but it’s fine if you invest in some smart switches.

Ellipse is a great location community but as far as lving experience it is sub-par in many instances ......landscaping, parking lots lighting, parking space avilabiility, trash issues and trash bin (dumpsters areas) areas pot holes and deteriorating asphalt repairs, mailboxes areas cleanliness being on griund floor where all the trash and drippings from above floors end up on the ground entery areas where the mailboxes are....and many many more issues inside the aging units

So it appeared like a great property when we viewed units. We were reassured it was a smoke free property and that the units were old so sound wouldn’t be an issue… well that was a lie. The ceiling is so thin we wonder when it will finally give way to the sea monster crashing above us. Who keeps an active night life between 1-5am that keeps us awake. First the property addressed this with them and then they said it’s out of their hands and call the police. Today, on this lovely Saturday we were awoken before 8am by lawn mowers right outside the window. People freely smoke their tobacco or marijuana from their patios - since we have yet to see someone evicted for it. Trash openly sat exposed for weeks, drifting across the property. It’s just not as nice as we expected.

Don't move into the Washington Renovated 2 BR unit #24 available December 27th, 2021. This is our apartment right now. We have been letting the office/maintenance staff know since April (7 months ago) that when it rains water floods into our living room through the windows. I've probably brought this to their attention 10 or 15 times. We've had to move all our furniture away from the wall and watch the forecast to make sure we had plenty of towels setup before rains to keep our stuff from being ruined. Instead of ever fixing the problem it got to the point where they are just letting us break our lease penalty free so that we stop requesting for them to fix it. Now the unit is listed for $450 more per month than we pay for the poor next residents who I guarantee will be dealing with the same problem because they refuse to fix it. This property management company is generally horrible and there are too many things in the past year to write in a review. On day 1 of our lease they made us wait until almost 6pm to finish getting our place ready then they finally gave us the keys and we walked into a trashed apartment that they hadn't finished renovating. They ended up moving us to our current apartment which happened to be open but wasn't clean and wreaked of cigarettes for months after our move in. We also didn't have a working clothes dryer for the first two months. Not to mention the nightmare that was trying to convert our utilities that we had set up for the apartment we were supposed to be in. Ellipse gave us no assistance in any of this. They'll say they are under "new management" every 2 months but nothing will change. This company screwed us for a year straight and now they're trying to do it to someone else for an extra $450 per month. Do not give them the pleasure.

I am going out of my way to leave a negative review for this complex everywhere possible. They have the WORST management/office staff ever. Disrespectful, condescending, rude, and HORRIBLE at communication. They never answer the phones so it's impossible to achieve anything. Maintenance requests are routinely ignored or if they ever get completed, it takes weeks, if not months. No one ever answers any questions or addresses concerns of any kind. If you just need a cheap roof over your head, that's all you'll get here and literally nothing more. The apartments are "decent" (so still pretty old, gross, appliances always breaking, etc.), but the nightmarish staff is not worth it. MOVE INTO LITERALLY ANY OTHER COMPLEX IN THE FAIRFAX AREA IF YOU CAN!

This is an update after I moved out of this NIGHTMARE, After leaving this place 4 month before my lease expired, I couldn't tolerate the incompetence of the staff and management. They keeps charging you for water, electricity even though you are not living there, since water bills are they say is shared amongst tenants !!! This among other things are not mentioned when you sign with the staff who look great when you first come in and turn vicious when you sign. No maintenance what so ever, drunken people all night, noisy floors, out dated bathrooms, which are over 40 year old with blocked sewer and disgusting. When the contract finally ended I had to wait 48 days to get my deposit back and they deducted over $ 300 for electricity and water bills which I had not used, $ 75 to remove 3 plastic pots the size of a fist and $ 95 for a curtain they claim is missing!!!! though we gave them this poor apartment the way we received it, but we just wanted to LEAVE and have nothing to do with their SAD , DISTURBING place Liars, poor staff and management, I feel sorry for the tenants still there. I am glad people talking out now of the poor quality of service and hat the staff only idle around and just drink from the complimentary drinks intended for the residence . How pathetic !!! NIGHTMARE OVER...

What is sad about this complex is that they don't communicate with the tenants. It was one of the reason we originally loved living here now we simply HATE and loathe it. When you try to call you never get an answer, my husband was told when he went in one day that the young lady who is a temp was told that if the phone rings let it go to corporate. That is a shame that as a hospital employee I live in an apartment with a leak that I requested to be fixed over a month ago because our carpet was soaked and smelling from the air conditioner and it still hasn't been fixed and the excuse is COVID. I hate to say it but that is a terrible excuse, this was a problem before COVID. Not to mention there is no enforcement on the no smoking on the property or making sure dogs are leashed and you cant expect the doggy doo to be picked up by people walking by if bags are only replaced once ever 2 to 3 months. If you move to Ellipse, you might as well expect to buy your own doggy doo bags, have your own maintenance person on stand by, and be prepared for your rent to eventually go up drastically I am sure. I had such high hopes when I moved in because of my experience with Josh and Sidney, they communicated and where friendly. I mean that southern kind of hospitality friendly. They people now could use a lesson in what it mean to greet people and be friendly. Don't let the invitations to have get togethers fool you that this is a great community. If you work like a normal person and have to be therein person like I do you will never get a chance to participate because they don't think about people like us. The pictures may be appealing but remember all that glitters is not gold. I expected more from this community. They really let me down.

Do not let this perfect 5 stars fool you like it did me. The management here is a joke. Nothing gets fixed, mold grows uncontrollably in the units. Management and maintenance do not respond to request no matter how many attempts you make.

The office staff is so nice, never have a problem personally speaking the management. My work orders are taken care of right away. I love my apartment.

The Ellipse is property!!! It has had 3 different property mgmt companies owning the property in 4 years. I have had numerous maintenance issues: no electric, broken air conditioner in 90 degree plus weather and plumbing problems. The office doesn't have any one answering calls and you can not even send an e mail to the property manager because they will not let you know who the mgr or owner of the property is. When you put in a computerized maintenace order they keep changing the order and saying its fixed, when they dont even come to your apt to fix your issue. Maintenace just hides in the back area of apt bldg smoking and socializing on their phone. ( I have video tape of this) The pictures on the Ellipse site is false, the apts are old, and with old noisy appliances. Turnover is at 90% year over year. All residents complain and refuse to pay rent because of lack of service. Its better to stay at an old motel .

Location is the only saving grace for this place. Bugs and mold are the main problems. I have contacted maintenance for help with the mold/leaks happening above me since I moved in almost a year ago and had to contact the county because they would not respond to the problem. No amenities and there is no parking ever. Do yourself a favor and live in the apartments next to these instead.

I have lived here for 8 months now and have experienced nothing but a great place to live. The neighbors are wonderful and very friendly. I only had one maintenance issue and it was after hours and the Property Manager came into my apartment herself at 7 at night and helped me fix my garbage disposal.

The attitude of the people working in leasing office were soooo poor , they will treat you very good before you moved in . Paking, apartment facilities not as good as they said . DO NOT RENT

They towed your car after saying it won't be towed for first time visitor even if you have a visitor tag on. Their attitude is so bad that makes you really uncomfortable. I would not ever recommend anyone for moving in for this apartment. Their management team should be changed.

i had very bad experiences living here , i used to live here with my friend , their( leasing office ) service is so bad when u got problem , hard to find visitor parking when u have party with friends . always towed your car eventhough you got your paking permit . TRASH !!!!!

By far THE worst customer service EVER!!! plus they scam you and trick you into their trap!!! very recently i moved into an apartment at Ellipse at fairfax corner ( currently still am living, but i wish i have never rented here). After a week of moving in my friends came to visit me, and we went to leasing office to get visitor parking permit, they told us that we can park between 823 ~ 821 those building are , there should be visitor parking ( listen carefully , they said there SHOULD BE) and my friends came at night and the road was full of leaves ?? and you cannot see any signs at the ground, even during the day time it's hard to read, so we parked there and we put the visitor parking permits on.and guess what happen, right after two hours they towed one of our car away!!! if it actually was at wrong spot why they didn't two one of the car away?? and this my my friends' first time visiting here.... I went to the leasing office and talked to a lady i was being so polite as well but man.. the attitude they are showing you is like they have some revenges to take from you. so if you are already living here i would Strongly recommend you let them take you and show exactly where the visitor parking is, ( even tho trust me your car eventually will be towed anyway) , and DO NOT fall into their traps when they just showed you on the map, that's how they tricked me into their traps as well. because that's what they do, and after that whatever you say or whatever you do all the blames will be on you.

I have witnessed the heinous treatment of one of the Ellipse's current tenants as someone who often provides care for the tenant's 14-month-old child. Their claim to be a non-smoking property is completely fabricated as the tenant's apartment is blanketed in the stench of cigarette smoke from the neighbors downstairs and the leasing office is unwilling to do anything about it. In the meantime, they have harassed this tenant by towing the cars of her child's caregivers, and posting notes on her apartment door that she should move out if she is unhappy with the service they are providing. The apartment complex claims to be updated and renovated, which may be true for some of the units, but the ones I have seen are CRAPPY and DINGY and in this case, covered in the smell of cigarettes (thereby exposing the 14-month-old to second hand smoke, mind you). Do NOT rent here; you will be very sorry.

I moved in to the Ellipse in September 2018 and have been completely underwhelmed by what they offer. The main building, which houses the gym, has a non-functioning lock, that has led segments of the local homeless population to sleep in the equipment rooms. The mail and package service is atrocious, with a local delivery policy of dropping off items 5 minutes before close so that you're unable to actually pick up your goods the day they're delivered. The management is non responsive to fixing problems (though maintenance is great when you get a hold of them). For example, I have not had a functioning washer/dryer for one month. It took daily visits and almost three weeks to receive the key to the vacant apartment across the way so I could do laundry there. Low and behold, their washer also leaks. They are non responsive by email, and while I understand that upgrades to servers are a necessary evil, cutting off the web portal for rent payment the week when rent is paid is absurd. The rent is fairly cheap though, and the costs of moving once you're here are high. I'd strongly suggest looking elsewhere though.
