As its name implies, Medical Center South is located directly south of the Texas Medical Center, which is home to Houston’s major healthcare facilities and medical schools. The neighborhood is also locally known as the Astrodome since the Houston Astrodome dominated the neighborhood. NRG Arena, NRG Stadium, and NRG Center are also located in the neighborhood so living here will give you easy access to rodeos, football games, concerts, and more. Although the area was initially created for the Astrodome, it has since changed drastically. So far, so good. I haven’t had any real complaints & maintenance is on top of getting things fixed or handled. Complex is pretty quiet & office staff has been helpful since moving.

Staff is very attentive and responsive. Maintenance is always there to help. They always arrange community events and I am glad the pool is open. One i can actually get in. Experience so far is great!

One of the best places I have lived by far. The maintenance is top tier.
What makes Avanti Cityside better than other apartment community homes is the management team. Avanti Cityside has kept the same management team for years, no new staff ever 6 months. This gives me a peace of mind to know there is consistency in management, maintenance, and information. You never find that in any apartments complexes nor has any other management company but Greystar have been able to provide that stability. I've been in Houston now for 10 years, haven't seen a company or home owner yet that can compare.

Great place to live, every place has its nuisances and petty people but those issues here are very minute compared to other communities......especially larger communities. I also love they way management tries to make this an inclusive and friendly community.

My experience was good. I love the new gate system. The parking can be a bit stressful however the elevators definitely help. I have seen a few apartments that have elevators but they don't work. Avanti always have working elevators.

Sometimes the fire alarm goes off and it’s ear piercing. We just leave because we don’t want to subject our son to that??. The pool is always closed. Gym is not open 24 hours. We can’t opt out of valet trash even though the trash doesn’t get picked up every time

Great Living Experience, But the Gate Needs Attention! I’ve had a great experience living in this community and truly appreciate the timely roof repairs. However, I’m confused as to why the gate system still hasn’t been repaired. The gate’s condition started declining three years ago, and it has yet to be properly addressed. As paying residents, we deserve the preventative measures that ensure our safety and convenience. When will Greystar hold the owners accountable for this ongoing negligence? It’s time for a long-term solution.
I have loved Avanti Cityside ever since I first laid eyes on it, and it has been a dream come true to finally live here. The safety (cameras, courtesy patrol), the plush carpets and apartment layouts, the gym, pools, Amazon lockers, and admin team are all awesome. I can't wait to continue making my apartment my own!

All & all AVANTI is an EXCELLENT place to live. Not just because they have some of the nicest and most spacious floor plans you can find in Houston. It's the community itself. Not just the amenities, the people who live in it and MOST of all the people who work for it. Leticia (the Manager) is AMAZING, Pelicia (my leasing agent) - besides my apartment is the reason I leased here. And the others: Ryan & Colby are FANTASTIC as well. And the Maintenance crew here?!?PLEASE - I DARE YOU to find another one at ANY apartment with a faster response. I only wish they had more apartments available so you could lease one. That alone should tell you more than anything... There's like 400 apts here & NO ONE wants to leave - including me.

Overall a good place, but a few of the same ongoing issues. Pool still closed, no updates in about 4 months. Gym has very limited equipment and now more dumbbells have gone missing.

Pretty solid apartments, but the hallways and parking garage get dirty. Maintenance is quick and the leasing office is helpful! Reserved parking is too expensive in my opinion though.

We love it here! The apartment was clean when we moved in, and we love the security in the garage (cameras and such). Everyone we've met so far has been friendly, especially Pelicia in the office! (Hopefully we can talk to our upstairs neighbors about their child not stomping around so much, but noise is to be expected somewhat in an apartment). We look forward to swimming in the pool when it warms up, and any apartment community events this year :)

It's a low end luxury apartment close to downtown Houston, at the edge of the medical center. It's nice. Could use a few upgrades. Kitchen counters and the flooring. But if you don't cook much or have overactive pets like I do, you'll be fine.

I enjoy the amenities that Avanti Cityside offers. The square footage is excellent and I’ve met a few great neighbors. I just renewed my lease and wouldn’t think of moving to another apartment complex.

So far I love living here. I like the convenience of the location. Maintenance usually are pretty quick and I like my layout. I like how pet friendly they are.
So far I feel safe. I do have a neighbor below me that plays lots of music. I also have a concern about the gate never working and the overall appearance of the entrance. The flashing security booth light is not appealing at all. If we will not have any gates that area needs to be torn down and replaced with something that makes the entrance more appealing. Just my thoughts.

It’s a comfortable quiet place to live . The mailing system is great no lost mail. Do wish the apt space was more spacious but we make do my spouse and I . I price of rent is doable for us I hope it stays the same to renew our lease .

I love living at Avanti Cityside. The entire team is very professional and I enjoy talking to them and they really do care about the residents. They try to keep the residents happy and engaged by the different activities they plan throughout the year. The two concerns I have is that some residents do not clean up after their dogs and they fail to put their trash down the chute that’s provided to them. With that being said, I still would recommend Avanti Cityside. It’s a great place to call home.

For the price, Avanti is worth the price you pay. Other than 1-2 times, maintenance is usually fast. I've never had any thefts from my unit or car while staying here. I just renewed my lease for a 2nd time. If you like having a parking garage for your car, and fairly roomy units, Avanti has it.
