As its name implies, Medical Center South is located directly south of the Texas Medical Center, which is home to Houston’s major healthcare facilities and medical schools. The neighborhood is also locally known as the Astrodome since the Houston Astrodome dominated the neighborhood. NRG Arena, NRG Stadium, and NRG Center are also located in the neighborhood so living here will give you easy access to rodeos, football games, concerts, and more. Although the area was initially created for the Astrodome, it has since changed drastically. great!My resident experience has been generally positive, with a few areas that could be improved. The community feels safe and well-maintained, and the staff is usually friendly and responsive when I have questions or need assistance. The amenities are convenient, especially the parking and common areas, which make daily life easier. My neighbors are respectful, and overall the environment is quiet and comfortable. However, there are still some aspects that could enhance the experience. Maintenance requests sometimes take a bit longer than expected, and communication about upcoming inspections or community changes could be clearer. Despite these minor issues, I’ve enjoyed living here and appreciate the efforts the management team puts into keeping the property clean and organized. With a few improvements, the resident experience could become truly excellent.
Amazing team! Love getting to live here again! The leasing team in the office is five star and one of the best in Houston, while most apartments don't care about their tenants at all, they only care about the money I can say. That's definitely not the case here, the staff here actually cares

Management staff and maintenance crew are the best they've been in the 17 years we've lived here. That, coupled with the upgrading of the common areas and the landscaping, makes living here a very good experience.
Avanti at City Side is a wonderful community. The front office staff and maintenance staff is hospitable, friendly and handles any issues promptly. Consistent upkeep of the grounds, hallways and parking garage is much appreciated. I will be renewing.
I been here for 8 months and have no complaints so far. Hopefuly its stays that way for the foreseeable future. Look forward to renewing my lease in a few months.

This is my home here. I love being here because it is close to Medical Center, Hwy 288, Hwy 610, plus close to the grocery stores, restaurants, and where I usually need to go and drive a very short distance. Love it!
Avanti is a Very quiet community and equipped with very nice amenities for all ages and genders. 100/10 recommended! Also very highway accessible.

Friendly community with awesome staff & and maintenance workers. Pools are nice majority of days and nice clean big gym. Noise levels can be loud at times and parking can get very full though.

I've been a Resident at Avanti Cityside for over 5 years and I love it here. Management is very understanding and personable while the Maintenance team quick at responding and resolving issues. I tried looking at a newer complex but nothing beats Avanti's price point, sq footage and location.

The apartment complex is not being taken care of. The hallways are always dirty, the garage needs to be pressure washed, the hallways need a fresh coat of paint as well as the railing, and walkway area where the paint is chipping away. The apartments all need to be updated. Parking is terrible. Lets not get on the roaches!!!!!! and how I have had to call them almost weekly to come spray and I still see roaches to the point I cannot leave anything out. The only good thing is Maintenace is fast.

There are few complaints, but that is what brings the rating down. The covered parking is great, except at night. Finding parking is a chore. There are 2 pools, but they have been closed sinceI moved in.

The place is getting more run down over the year I have been here. Key fob works on occasion to get in. Broken glass on the parking garage, trash all over the parking garage. Pools are not working at times.

Not a big fan of having to pay to use the computers/printers as a resident. Typically as a resident that’s a free amenity but every complex isn’t the same. It also sucks that the pools were closed half of the summer.

It is unrealistic to think that there will be no issues and concerns when living in an apartment community. However, it IS realistic to expect management to address the issues instead of defending the problem or defending WHY they won't (or can't) fix the problem. This represents very poor management skills and even worse people skills. There has been no improvement from management, as a whole, and you are just met with conflict and confrontation. Oh but they be on their BEST behavior when trying to lease an apartment!
Not a bad place. Maintenance is great, issues resolved in no time. Amenities are lack luster. Most are not available after the office closes.

Been good so far. 1 year in! I haven’t had any issues with any of my neighbors or the facilities. No mail has been stolen as of yet. Though the previous tenants mail was still in our mailbox from about…5 years ago. Like maybe 5 years worth of mail was in there. Pretty funny. I didn’t know that until I opened our mailbox like 8 months into our lease.

The place is pretty affordable and is very convenient to my college. The maintenance staff is very helpful and courteous whenever I need repairs. My baby described what have to be the parking garage and how it's almost always dirty smells since the other residents don't feel the need to clean up after their pets.

What makes Avanti Cityside better than other apartment community homes is the management team. Avanti Cityside has kept the same management team for years, no new staff ever 6 months. This gives me a peace of mind to know there is consistency in management, maintenance, and information. You never find that in any apartments complexes nor has any other management company but Greystar have been able to provide that stability. I've been in Houston now for 10 years, haven't seen a company or home owner yet that can compare.
