Property Ratings at 2416 E Madison St
if your a city person, and not high maintenance, these apartments are great. Easily walk or bus to the Central district, Queen Anne, Seattle Community College, downtown, Belltown, university district, UW, light rail, I-5, and the 520 bridge. Trader Joe's, Safeway and a new P.C.C. all within walking distance. Quite in regards to foot traffic and late night distances. That said the building is right on East Madison St.and was built in 1902. It's not sound proof building buy any means. You hear the cars, the busses, the ambulance. the garbage trucks, your neighbors, your neighbors music/t.v., the on site washer and dryer, the occasional mentally ill transient. You hear it all. I personally love it. it's the sounds of lifes being lived and community to me. a reminder of we all share here in the city. If this is not appealing to you, continue your search, you will be miserable in these apartments. Yes they a on the cheaper end of the scale but it's warranted. The building is old and dated. The insulation is horrible and the original 1902 wiring is suspect. Maintenance is keep a the very minimum. Light bulbs in common areas, for instance, can stay out for months and the washer and dryer, there's only one pair on site for all six units, is a gamble every time. If you're able to move past a little noise and small inconveniences though, this place is great.
