Property Ratings at 1414 Texas Downtown
Clean building, great amenities. Nice neighbors. Dog friendly. Great location very walkable. Great restaurants in the Area. Unfortunately a lot of the dog owners refuse to pick up behind their fur babies which leaves the outside of the building smelling like pee and poop most days. The building does offer bags at 3 stations outside. More should be done considering this is a luxury building.
1414 Texas apts is a nice place to live so far. The people are friendly and it’s mostly quiet itself the outside vehicles. The Management team is doing a good job with hearing and understanding our concerns.
Love my new apartment ..its nice peaceful and quiet....the people are all welcoming from the concierge to the neighbors.. I'll be living here for the next 5 years lol
From the Leasing staff to the maintenance team, the customer service at 1414 Texas is world-class. I appreciate the modes of communication- email, text and within our apartment app. The grounds are clean and safe. My neighbors are friendly. I love the dog treats for my pooch in the lobby! Three months in, and I am continue to be so glad that I made the move to Downtown Houston.

I had a great experience moving into 1414 Downtown, and Brent made the entire process seamless. He was professional, helpful, and quick to respond to every question I had. The apartment was spotless on move-in day, with modern finishes and amazing downtown views. The building itself is super clean, and the amenities are top-tier — the gym is solid, and the pool area feels like a resort. The location is perfect too, close to everything but still quiet and secure. Maintenance has also been responsive and friendly. Overall, 1414 Downtown has been an excellent place to call home, and Brent made it even better.
The management team and staff are awesome, the place is quiet and safe, very clean, the amenities are top tier. I would refer this any of my friends
I’ve really enjoyed living in this apartment, but things have gone downhill. Maintenance takes a very long time to address issues, the office staff isn’t as friendly as they used to be ( it’s changed to new staff) and the head of maintenance comes across as abrupt and brash. I’ve also reported that people are smoking in the building hallways, so it often smells like cigarette smoke, and the overall cleanliness has become subpar. Sadly, I’ll be looking for a new place to live.
I renewed my lease, it's in a great location and great management! There have been recent community events like waffles and chicken breakfast, a hot dog lunch, and tacos pool party.
My husband and I have been living here for 6 years and have loved it the entire time. The management and maintenance team are one of a kind. They definitely make it so hard to leave! Even when thinking about buying, we find ourselves giving 1414 more time.

My stay, although very new I can’t really complain. So far so good. The elevators and learning it’s just a bit much…maybe some labels will help

This is an amazing property! The staff is friendly. The building is in great condition, hallways are clean and smell nice, units are very upscale and modern. Building is concrete/steel constructed…you don’t hear neighbors above!! I LOVE it here!
My husband and I have enjoyed living at 1414 Texas because of the customer service, the cleanliness of the facility, and the attention to issues relating to our apartment home are addressed quickly and efficiently.
It was a bold personal choice to pack up and move to Downtown Houston. I am so glad I did. I truly enjoy living at 1414 Texas. The leading team is 5-stars and my neighbors are friendly. I would absolutely do it again and I would quickly recommend the property to my friends and family.
Overall, great experience and great location. You can tell that everyone loves living here and that the staff loves working here as well.

Quiet, super friendly staff and convenient to all sporting events. Traffic I thought was going to be horrible but to my pleasant surprise it’s not that at all
Overall I am enjoying my stay here. I would like to see a silently better system to engage guests after hours that have a vehicle. Meaning while I want a secure garage and entry and exit process, perhaps being able to open remotely and monitor who opens the garage, would be more resident and visitor friendly.
For the most part, living here has been great. The apartment features a large kitchen which was a non-negotiable for me. The community and location feels safe and secure as well. Really my only drawbacks are the smell of weed and smoke. For a non-smoking community, I shouldn't have to deal with these scents. Additionally, the grills have been non-functional since I moved in. Other than that, it's been a great place to live.
I haven’t officially moved into 1414 Texas yet, but I’m confident in my choice after touring three times. Christina, Allison, and Brent in the leasing office have been warm, welcoming, and patient. After nearly a decade in The Heights, I toured several downtown complexes and found 1414 Texas stood out for its clean, safe parking, updated amenities, great location, and friendly community. I’m 40, single, and feel safe here. METRO’s nonstop bus from the GRB to Bush Airport is a huge bonus. I’m excited to start this next chapter at 1414 Texas!
Great location, great staff, well-kept grounds. The only thing is it can be loud on weekends if your apartment faces the street, but the apartment itself is pretty quite overall.

Great location and the apartments are very comfortable. You are located right in the heart of houston. A huge plus is that the apartment's bedroom blocks out a lot of sound so you rarely hear neighbors or downtown itself.

Everyone was welcoming from the moment I called in to do a last minute tour the process with the leasing office was smooth and easy from the touring to the application process. Brent gave me a tour around which the complex is very well maintained from inside and out.

As a long time resident, it has been a great place to live. We have access to all the sports facilities and dozens of restaurants. Excellent management staff.

Throughout the year I've been here… 1. The ceiling above my bedroom door cracked i put in a request to get it fixed and no one did anything about it 2. I had to get a new drier when i moved in and right before my lease was up the drier went out again… 3. I left my car here for 2 weeks when i went out of the state and when i came back someone i guess was mad that i left in that “spot” for to long and left a note on my car “be more considerate of others” and then keyed my car and put a nail in my tire… when I contacted the front office they explained there was nothing they could do because their cameras only went back 5 days so i was basically “screwed” and had to handle it myself. 4. The microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and bathroom fan all had to have service done to them and i was only here for 1 year. 6. Don’t lose your key; it is hell to try to get ahold of anyone that can actually help you and god forbid if you contact the staff after hours to get help; ok end of review

Great location although it can be noisy evenings if your apartment is street side. Friendly managers and great maintenance staff. Parking garage layout works well for everyone.
