Logan-Ogontz-Fern Rock, located about 10 miles north of the heart of Philadelphia, is a lively urban neighborhood full of residential areas, modern amenities, and exciting attractions. Property Ratings at YONO
They really need to update this advertisement. First off, utilities are no longer included in the rent. You will be paying an extra $80 for them starting January 1st, 2025. Second, free cable is no more a thing. They took that away without notice around September or October of 2024. Third, if the studio rent is cheap, means the unit is not renovated. Some units, the heating doesn't work in the living area and in some, the heating in the bathroom doesn't work. Four, the walls are thin. I hear my neighbor snoring. Five, whatever the surrounding neighbors are cooking or smoking, you will smell and it will enter your apartment and six, the occasional homeless person living in the lounge areas.
Move in process was the best I've had my whole life the leasing specialist Nicole hands down made me feel confident in renting at Yono definitely helped me through the process due to me being nervous. I will be renewing when its time.
YONO is a no no. The person that gave me the initial tour. Bold faced lied to me and there is an all around depressing vibe in this building. There used to be a miss Pac-Man game in the laundry room, which was the only good part stay away my friends stay away and don’t look back.
You get what you pay for. The apartment was okay. Reasonable in price with all amenities included but the roaches are bad. It was a true infestation I had to move out after 2 weeks. Other residents also told me there were mice
I am a neuroscience graduate student and a current resident at york north apartments. I chose to live here because all utilities are included, there are laundry facilities on site (read complaint below) and at the time there was a shuttle provided that would drop you off and pick you up from the local universities (it has since been discontinued with no reasonable explanation as to why). YONO is advertised as student friendly but without the shuttle and a few minor issues, I have to disagree. Therefore, before signing your lease ask for a tour and speak to other residents if possible so that you can make an informed decision about this complex. Up until now I have had minimal complaints about my apartment and the leasing office. Unfortunately, there has been a noticeable decline in management since the start of the pandemic. At first I was very understanding because the world was clearly in crisis. However, now that we're a year into the pandemic, I've reached out several times to the leasing staff and manager (twice through email and countless times in person) about my complaints, yet they have all been ignored. Pre-Covid packages were received by the leasing staff and held in a closet where we could then have them handed to us. Now packages are left out in the open in the front lobby and SEVERAL packages have been stolen. This has been going on for months. I am FED UP. The leasing staff have not done anything to prevent packages from being stolen. I will be making a police report tomorrow as a last resort because management can't seem to handle this problem on their own. The simple solution would be to just resume using the package closet however staff say that it's been discontinued due to covid safety concerns and yet I see staff meeting with potential residents daily, giving tours etc. how are these interactions not safety concerns. Lastly, the laundry room on the 11th floor is soooo POORLY kept. The machines need to be cleaned or replaced because there is always disgusting backwash like stuff in the detergent loading area of the washing machines. Also my clothes have either burned and/or melted in the driers or I had to dry loads twice. Please do something about the laundry room ASAP I really did not want to resort to posting a poor review but I am tired of being disregarded yet still expected to pay rent.
The place is not clean at all. Stairwells are full of cigarettes and cockroaches. Upon moving in the place had clearly not been cleaned and there was mold in the AC unit. It took 3 WEEKS before they supposedly had someone come in and clean it. There was still mold in it and there was no note left to say maintenance had entered the apartment. Also the wifi is completely unusable and the free cable is a lie. They issued me the lease with the free cable and then cancelled it and had me resign saying they are no longer offering cable despite it being advertised on their website and here. I am now dealing with them claiming I am late on rent when I signed up for Auto Pay and I always check the day of to ensure it went through. I have just reached out to them and no response. The only good thing about this place is the residents are friendly and the security guards are nice as well.
I've been living here for 7 months now and after reading these 5 star reviews I feel like they were either written by staff or they were paid to do so. This place is sneaky and dirty. Don't trust the people at the front desk, if you can even get a chance to speak to them in between all their phone calls and just straight up ignoring you standing there. 1 of their 2 elevators has not been running since I moved in and the "maintenance" of this elevator occasionally makes alarms in the building go off at random hours. On top of that the only functioning elevator breaks down frequently leaving you to walk up the steps. Please be wary of that if you are older, will live on the 10th floor, or have mobility issues. When I say that you can see the years worth of dirt and residue buildup in the stairwells and in common areas I'm not joking. Make sure you inspect all closets/ doors, faucets, pipes, and cabinets when you move in. The laundry room is poorly maintained and people have a tendency to touch or move your laundry for some reason. Most of the staff I've interacted with are fine, not great, but others are so oddly disingenuous that it's extremely uncomfortable be around them. All in all, I wouldn't recommend staying here to anyone but if you don't have much cash/ other options I wish you good luck and a better living situation in the near future.
Any review that says the staff is great and that service is excellent is clearly written by their own staff. Anyone who lives here knows they treat residents like crap and their maintenance service is very sloppy. The truth is their staff is horrible and all they do is lie. I’ve lived here 3 years too long. The apartments don’t look anything like what they show you. Don’t even get me started on the elevator situation. This place closed down their best elevator for more than 8 months for “renovations” and the renovations were literally adding different buttons. And guess what? The elevator stops working every 3 days now. And add on the fact that their “amenities” are either out of date or broken and you got a great combination of a complete scam. You can find a much better place than this dump. The day this place cleans house with their lazy and disrespectful staff, will be the day this place has a shot to be good again.
Great place to live close to city but also outside of it. Welcomed warmly when I first moved in. Great amenities. Quick maintenance response. Kait The Great is what I call her , but look for her smile and great energy. They look out for me when I needed it as well.
Any time there is any issue that ever arises, the staff at the front desk will always be willing to work with you through it. I also enjoy that for people who order packages frequently, the staff will place a small sticker on your mailbox notifying you that you have a package. It makes things a lot easier especially for busy lives to not have to worry about when a package has arrived. And most of the time, the staff will stop you if they notice you not coming to ask for it. I love it!

I am a current resident at Lindy. The staff here at Lindy is excellent! Anytime there is an issue, the staff is quick to resolve the matter. Whether it be a leaky faucet or questions about parking, the Lindy personnel make themselves readily available. They are dedicated to ensuring you a comfortable stay at Lindy.
Their staff and their manager don'tgive you response and they don't feel are responsible for anything.my heating system dosen't work and no one came to fix. I called them many times. Also I'm paying 950 $ which includes furniture. But they didn't bring me anything unless a bed. Don't believe the pictures you see in website. There is no tv and couch!
I am currently living in Yono. My studio has very very super duper weak internet connection, and often interrupt. Whenever i have to use my laptop, i always get very annoyed because of the internet connection. Once, while i was submitting my paper, the internet just stopped working and laptop was freezed. So that time,i had to shut down my laptop and restart it. I ended submitting my paper late instead of 10 minutes early as it was suppose to be. I never use Yono internet for my phone because it is so delay. it takes me 10 minutes to upload 2 pictures. I use 4G all the time for my phone. Also, the oven which is attached to the stove is never working. I reported to the front desk, and no one has come to fix it yet. You could be really appealed by the price which is including all utility. But i just want to let you know, then you are not gonna feel disappointed when you move in. Just wait for the contract to be ended and move out.
The YONO apartments have a pleasant and inviting atmosphere and the staff cater to the young and older individuals alike. They provide shuttle bus services to LaSalle University as well as to Temple University for students and staff. The rent here is all inclusive and the complex also offers FREE Cable and WiFi! As an office worker or student, how can you beat that. Space for parking is very adequate on the street and if you prefer, there is also private parking available. Rental ZIP cars are on stand-by just in case you need one right at the door. The size of the studio Apartments equal those of a Jr. 1 bedroom in most other facilities within the City of Philadelphia. I found this by chance! Glad I did Thank You York North Apartments.
The apartment I currently occupy has a loose air conditioner frame that is lose and can be moved easily with hands, the cold air of winter comes through between the cracks, and under the window sill. I have to put blanket or rags to try and keep the coldness out, and there is a leak in the corner by t window the wallpaper is bubly and looks like its beginning to peel.
