Perched on a tree-filled hill, Queen Anne is one of Seattle's most famous neighborhoods. It is named for the elegant Victorians that once dominated the landscape. Today, only a handful of the Queen Anne homes remain. As one of Seattle's largest neighborhoods, Queen Anne is often referred to in smaller sections, such as North Queen Anne or Lower Queen Anne.
Extending from the north end of Downtown Seattle to Lake Union's Fremont Cut, Queen Anne changes as you travel through the neighborhood -- the end closest to downtown contains the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, the Museum of Pop Culture, and Key Arena. The north end is a little more residential and is home to Seattle Pacific University. Be sure to visit Kerry Park for amazing views of Downtown Seattle and Mount Rainier.

Property Ratings at The Townvue Apartments
I lived at this apartment for 6 months and they had a change of management halfway through. The building is old, all appliances are old, so problems do arise from time to time. Pros: - Location is quiet and charming. - Easy walking distance to downtown & to pike place. - Dog friendly. - Close to grocery stores, parks, some bars and restaurants. - Other tenants were respectful and quiet (I was on the top floor). - Security cameras for the parking lot and good outdoor locks. - Would have stayed longer if the rent was more affordable for me. Cons: - Hot in the summer, hallways are stuffy (kinda smell bad), and the building has poor ventilation. - Trash was missed for a few weeks, outside became a garbage dump for a while. - Elevator was broken for the majority of my stay. Made moving in/out very difficult. Management kept giving dates it would be fixed but then kept pushing it out (1 week turned into 4 months), when I left it hadn't been fixed. - Laundry room pay system broke, took 2-3 weeks to fix it. - Parking can be difficult/ a block away. - Management (in my option) wasn't very helpful, friendly, or informative. Not terrible but just not great either. Problems took forever to fix, you could go weeks without hearing any updates.
This apartment is in a great location but is old so if you like the finer thing in life when it come to appliances this is not the place. Unit are spacious with big bedroom due to the age of the building and the view is wonderful. Just like anything that is old things will need to be repaired here and there so prepare for small maintenance issues but nothing major. I have been here for 3 years and love the area and the building feels like a community. The location is safe and close to downtown Seattle and very convenient bus lines.
