This place is not safe. There are people coming in off the street and sleeping in lobby and courtyard. packages get stolen, cars are broken into. Not a secure place to live. people do a lot of drugs in stairwells and the gym. The cops are here almost everyday. Not a safe place for adults and especially kids. Come visit yourself and see how dirty the place is.

Staisha is a friendly and helpful community asset. This location is in a sweet spot of Alexandria. Any shopping need within a mile, 2 min from I-395, 3 miles from the capital beltway. Nestled on a quiet side street, great view of the Alexandria skyline. Pool and community patio is beautiful.

I love living at the Summit. It's a very comfortable community and the neighborhood is very walkable and close to everything. Management tries hard to please the residents and is very friendly. The space and the views are unmatchable in this area at this price.

The Summit is a good apartment complex with nice amenities, great location, access to nearby parks, and ongoing improvements to the outdoor areas to improve the living experience. The maintenance team is the best I have ever experienced, and Ive lived in many different states!

1 star is for the spacious balconies. It is all downhill from there. The current management is absolutely terrible. Far from being helpful, they are disinterested and rude. The last time you see them treat you well is when you sign the Lease. Billing is a complete mess over the last few months with no one to answer any questions. If you ever plan on having visitors, there is never any visitor parking available or that is what they tell you without even checking. We were once told no before we even said what date we needed the parking for. For someone who's been here through different management changes, this clearly seems like they've hit rock bottom. I would advise you to check elsewhere before getting sucked into signing up. Crime around the building is another huge concern. Just take a few steps down the street or look it up online.

The Summit has been very accommodating with what we needed. My wife and I made a large move across the country, and Dwayne was more than helpful with getting us all of the information and pictures we requested. I've been at The Summit for over two years, and I have to say, for the monthly cost, I'm getting more square footage than the average Alexandria apartment. Add to the spaciousness the fact that one entire wall is floor to ceiling windows, and the space seems even larger. Repairs are seen to immediately, and the walls are nearly soundproof. I've never heard a neighbor! Close to three interstates and Old Town, The Summit is a great place to live in Alexandria.

This building is just average but the location is the best thing about it. There is pretty good access to the Van Dorn metro station (1 mile away) and there are 3 shopping centers less than 1 mile away. I really like having a balcony and also a washer and dryer in my apartment included. However the walls are thin, the water in the shower stings your skin, sinks are too shallow to keep water off the counters every time you turn them on and silver centipede like bugs show up every so often in my apartment. There's also a struggle to keep the temperature cool or warm enough with the ancient a/c and heating unit; which makes predicting the cost of utilities every month pretty unlikely.

I moved into The Summit December of 2013. After weeks of looking for an apartment the offered me the most bang (space/amenities) for my buck in the ridicously priced NOVA region, I discovered this great apartment. This was the least expensive 1 bed/1.5 bath I found that offered 1000 sq. feet, in unit washer/dryer, covered parking and secure building entry, pool, gym and tennis courts. The staff is so nice and very helpful and they keep everything super clean. I locked myself out one night on my way to the club, I called and left a message about my misfortune, by the time I got back at 2am, my door was unlocked! I recommend everyone to come and tour The Summit.
