The Shelby Apartments

As I found myself in an unlikely situation with my hotel I booked upon my arrival to Seattle I passed by the Shelby building and instantly was drawn to the only leasing sign that had green balloons. This was the first sign I’ve seen in this city that had such an inviting energy. I met both Rochelle and her associate Jade who undoubtedly removed any hesitations I had on if I would be housed or not. To have these two beautiful and kind women show me such diligent dedication to their job and to getting me settled in one of the many STUNNING unit’s that are still available was a god send. The entire process was more streamlined and accommodating (offered a refreshing array of artisan keurig coffee I’ve never seen) that I felt truly at home here at the Shelby and I hadn’t even received my keys. As a Philadelphia native I was nervous at how I would be received with seattle being known for having the infamous “seattle freeze” but thanks to Rochelle and Jade I know for certain this city has outstanding individuals that are making a difference and literally saving lives.

Ive been doing apartment living nearly a new city a year for the past 4, and after months of sloughing through emails and contacting dozens of buildings for my most recent move, Ive never met a team as committed to helping me have a smoother and easier transfer. If youre looking to move anywhere in the king county area i couldnt recommend a better building and community to accommodate you than The Shelby.

I moved to Seattle from jersey City in the middle of Pandemic. Taylor was very easy to talk to and could accommodate my needs as a fully online applicant. In 3 weeks of being here, I have had a very good experience.

The Shelby is wonderful. The building is in a great location and very well taken care of. The staff is wonderful and they take such amazing care of their residents. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for an apartment.

The apartment is just what I need. I know other apartment buildings can offer so much more, but I stay because it's a smaller community and the staff are excellent!

This apartment community is well maintained and in a great location. Blocks from the space needle and pikes market! Great and friendly management and quick responses to any service requests. The building is secure with a fob entry which was very important to me! The layout of the apartment is phenomenal and spacious!

Applying, signing, and moving into the Shelby was a convenient and easy process. The management has been great with communication and has addressed any needs and concerns I have had. My studio apartment is in incredible condition. The Shelby's location is in walking distance of nearly everything one might need to live in downtown Seattle. I have yet to have any issues with noise from the street or other residents. I have no complaints so far!

Awesome location, modern interiors, and super friendly staff.

During the covid crisis rent relief was never offer even when I extended my stay. Do not rent a apartment near the alley it is to noisy.

If you are new to Seattle, this is a good place to start living near the downtown. Everything is close by and easy to access.

The leasing agent I signed with was professional and made the leasing experience easy. I love my space and living in the middle of Belltown.

I really like the apartment and even the community. The location is prime, walking from downtown. The apartment has all the basic amenities and the floor plans are good too.

I just moved to Seattle from Michigan, and initially, I was very scared about the move because I didn't know anyone else here. I had called over 20 apartments in the Seattle area to learn more about their available apartments, and out of all of these apartments, The Shelby had the best customer service. Specifically, Chelsea, the apartment manager, was outstanding. I kept in contact with Chelsea almost every day until the move, and she answered all of my questions quickly and effectively. My flight landed in Seattle after The Shelby's office hours, but Chelsea waited 3 hours after office hours so she could give me my keys into the apartment. I was immediately impressed when I entered The Shelby - the pictures online don't do The Shelby enough justice. The lobby area has beautiful lighting, fast elevators, and is clean and quiet. My studio looked brand new with beautiful hardwood flooring. The only issue that I had was the blinds on the windows were damaged, and I couldn't open the windows at all, but I'm hoping maintenance will be able to fix this soon. With exception to the windows, I couldn't have asked for a better move-in experience, studio, and location. I'm really looking forward to spending my first few months and maybe years in Seattle here in The Shelby.

We moved in on February 1st without having an opportunity to view or tour the apartment and building. We are very pleased with the overall experience and would recommend this community to others.

This is a fantastic place to live! Always accommodating and quick to respond any service request. I moved in never seeing the place in person. While that can be scary I was helped through the entire process by the staff and it was an amazing experience. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to live in Seattle. It’s an excellent location and I feel safe and secure in the apartment!

I've lived at this building for a few weeks short of 6 years and really can't say anything bad about my experience. It's downtown, you get the strategic location near everything including the Link Light Rail which is a very cheap way to get to the airport. I love the restaurants on the ground floor and there are many coffee and desert options available in a 3-4 block radius. In unit W/D was key for me and the on site storage has been a life saver. My cat has been happy here too.

This apartment building and the management are great. The apartments are clean, big and have all that an ordinary tenant needs. The layouts are great and very comfortable to live in. One of the things I want to metion is windows. The view and the floor to ceiling windows make a unique experience of living in the center of Seattle, with the amazing view of the downtown and the Space Needle. Highly recommend it! It is a little bit expensive but it is mostly because of the high rent market in the area. P.S Try the conference room, as well as BBQ place and the lounge area is amazing for meeting with friends and enjoying spare time. Loved it
