Walnut Ridge is a small neighborhood about four miles north of Downtown Frederick. This wooded neighborhood is nestled between two parks providing residents with lush areas to play sports or jog. The area’s namesake park is a popular sport for youth soccer games while the park on the northern end has a public pool. Along with moderately priced rentals, renters are attracted to Walnut Ridge’s strong sense of community. Walnut Ridge has an active neighborhood association that hosts holiday parades, recycling events, and other special events year-round.
