The Meritage Apartments

Who ever is working on 6/25/2025 between 3-3:30pm is picking up the phone and hanging up. I've called several times to simply inquire about leasing information. If this is how phone calls are handled, I wouldn't trust a senior at your residences. Pass

My experience thus far at The Meritage has been phenomenal. My leasing consultant, Ajee’ is truly an angel, he exhibits OUTSTANDING customer service at all times! During my move-in process, he always went ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations each and every time. I moved in on a Friday, over a big holiday weekend, so the office was only open half a day that day, he still made it a point to call and follow-up to ensure I had everything I needed to make the move-in process go smoothly. Even when calling the complex, speaking with Mallory and other staff members, I was always impressed by the professionalism and quality of the service provided in addition to their ability to knowledgeably answer all of my questions. If you’re searching for a GREAT apartment complex in the Houston area The Meritage is the BEST! The floor plans are amazing, and spacious, the apartments are luxurious and modern, with up-to-date, quality appliances! The 24-hour gym, wine room, and pool are certainly an added plus for the living experience! This community truly provides a high quality living environment at a competitive price. The staff is amazing and the property is gorgeous. I love the clean modern look, and the peaceful; yet inviting vibe of the entire community. During my move-in process, even when I encountered other tenants, everyone was so friendly and helpful! I’m so excited to call this place home. I would highly recommend this apartment community to anyone.

My first experience in moving into my first apartment was great I chose the Meritage and I’m excited! Ajee was very helpful to us and patient, very respectful and good with answering any questions in a good timely manner!

I have never had an issue with the staff/maintenance when I have needed a repair of my apt. I love their promptness and professionalism when it comes to repair orders.

I am very happy at the Meritage. The management and maintenance people are friendly, helpful and efficient. The common areas are clean,the garden and pool area are well maintained and the residents are friendly.

Halls smell bad, management does not provide good or even ok service, elevator was broken for a whole month, apartment infested with bugs since move in day, lack of communication from management cost me more money at time of move in and was not provided a credit due to the incompetence and horrible experience. Truly a trash place.

There is always problems with the elevator and most of the time it does not work, the garage gate is as well problem with the electricity and is issue you never know from what way you can got in and the leasing office is very weird and very different after you sign. they contract with AT&T and the internet is super slow and there is something wrong with lines of the building and you cant get fast internet. The worst thing is you cant invite friends to be with you in the pool area because If you do they will fine you and they are always looking for ways to send you fines and charge you more.

I have been living here for more than 1 year- this building is not anymore considered a luxury apartment for many reasons: 1) Safety: This is not a gated community anymore- all garage doors are open all time, outside doors open as well. So anyone can come in anytime. No security cameras in place. You can try it yourself come in anytime and will see that all doors are open easy access. 2) Elevators: the main elevator has been down for more than 3 months, thy keep saying waiting on parts - other elevators work from specific garage floors - even the button light does not work has been like that for a long time- It is very easy just to change a small light bulb- so prepare yourself to take the stairs many times 3) Not clean: The compound is not clean- smell bad all time, floor with stains of different kinds. In the P2 parking there are no garbage containers - Imagine whole big garage with no garbage containers- that gives you the impression that they dont care about the cleanliness of the compound. Although good things: 1) half working sports room 2) an OK business center 3) Maintenance is fast in fixing stuff in your apartment If security to your family and clean environment and functioning elevators is your priority then this might not be the best place for you. If you dont care about security, clean environment and functioning elevators so could work for you.

The Meritage is by far the WORST apartment I have ever lived in. 3 Good reasons for you to not choose that place. Elevators never working Major flooding Garage gates -The elevators never worked and when it did it was extremely slow (avg wait time 5-7 min) so get used to taking the stairs. -Flooding is a HUGE issue. Every time it starts to rain you have to worry about your car flooding/being stranded in the apartment since the surrounding streets flood. The garage will flood very easily. -The garage gates always get stuck halfway and then you have to reverse and find another way in. -Printers and computers are hardly ever working. And on the off chance the printer is working, it's always out of ink or paper. -The large pool area is hardly ever full yet you are only allowed to bring in TWO other guests that are not on the lease. It is ridiculous. Oh and don't bother trying to use their grill. They seem to be operating under a Bring Your Own Propane policy. -Management is rude beyond belief. They are super friendly and accommodating up until right after you sign the lease. After you sign the lease, they ignore all your needs. So before you sign the lease think twice, know that whatever problems you have you will have to solve yourself. Be careful when you leave about getting charged for unnecessary things. They expect you to leave the apartment in an even better condition than it was when you moved in.

I was shown around the meritage Jeff and was very impressed! I loved the gym,sports room and pool area! The bar has been raised when I go look at another place.

I've lived at The Meritage for a year now, and am in the process of renewing. There have been a few isolated issues, but the staff communicates very well with the community in order to inform them about anything going on with the building. We are always given plenty of notice about renovations, and are made aware of any necessary repairs. I had a leak in my apartment and it was fixed promptly and correctly- they replaced the drywall and everything, took no short cuts. Maintenance is prompt to respond to emergency calls even nights and weekends. The staff has frequent free events for the community from brunch, to henna, to massages, to back to school stuff for the kids. We have been having issues with the fire alarm going off inexplicably but it seems like (knock on wood) they have that taken care of. The apartments themselves have a nice layout, real granite counter tops, and quality stainless steel appliances. They are currently repairing damages to the elevators that were damaged in the Houston area May flood, but no water ever reached the first floor of parking nor any apartments. Very convenient to park in the garage and never get rained on or have to worry about strangers in a parking lot. There is plenty of parking, always space on the lower level. Close to the galleria, medical center, and Meyerland Plaza. Never have to travel far for restaurants or groceries. And for those that enjoy the rodeo, there is a shuttle stop right behind us. It doesn't seem to create any excess traffic, but it is nice to be able to just walk across the street and have the shuttle take you right back home.

At first glance, the Meritage appears to be worth every penny; modern appliances, a multitude of floor plans, workout facilities, nice looking pool, 2 story parking garage and key-coded access to all the gates and doors. But after a year living here, I've noticed quite a few problems. To begin with, they rented the apartment we had put a deposit on out from under us., giving us a different model on the other side of the building The AC has gone out 9-10 times, and was only permanently fixed when my roommate and I took matters into our own hands. I have cracks in my windows from water damage, and mold in the baseboards surrounding my shower. Sinks have clogged, the disposal, washing machine, and dishwasher have all needed maintenance. The first floor of the garage floods easily as well. In addition, the management are not always the most cooperative, and maintenance can be fairly unresponsive unless you know them. In total I'd say I wouldn't rent here again, but if you choose to, look over the model extremely well, and make sure everything is in working order, because otherwise, you might be in for more trouble than the great amenities are worth.

My husband and I are newlyweds living in a super swanky apartment in Houston! We love it here, and feel very blessed and pampered! Our pool is fantastic, and you could probably film a low budget rap video around it with hot chicks in bikinis and Lil' Jon screamin' "YEAH!!!" We are very happy and the only thing that would make us happier is if we got free rent for a YEAR!!

I rented a one bedroom at the Meritage. The Pros: The apartment was nice, and the place has great amenities. The bedroom had a big spacious closet. The appliances are nice. The pool area is really spacious and nice looking. The location is pretty good. You have Wal-Mart, Meyerland Plaza, and lots of places nearby for any of your every day necessities. The Cons: My apartment had several problems upon move-in involving the water and the washer/dryer. Some of the staff was new so they struggled to provide assistance when needed. The staff often failed to follow up on requests or issues. Elevators broke frequently making it a pain if you lived on the upper floors. Management seems to neglect problems around the property. For example, the sign for the apartment complex has been broken for however long and hasn't been fixed (doesn't bother me, but you would think they would want to get their sign fixed if they want people to know what the place is called). Overall, I would recommend the place if the price is right. Just pray that the elevator is working on the day you move-in.
