Dallas is one of the largest cities in America, combining urban sophistication with an incomparable Texan personality. Dallas is an altogether unique blend of cultures, styles, and flavors, with more than one million people calling the city proper home.
Living in Dallas puts you right in the thick of it all, with endless options to customize your experience. Corporate professionals seeking to avoid long commutes may want to look for apartments in Downtown or Uptown, which are both home to major business centers as well as residential communities, affording many residents walkable access to work. Culture enthusiasts should consider apartments near the Dallas Arts District, which is home to the Nasher Sculpture Center, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Winspear Opera House, and more. Creatives may enjoy places like Old East Dallas and North Oak Cliff, where artistic pursuits abound.
Dallas offers some of the most diverse nightlife in Texas, from laid-back lounges to thumping night clubs.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Citadel
Thank you to the new staff that is very attentive to the property and residents. The new manager and maintenance have made such a big improvement in little time. Connie and JJ are great and take care of our needs and request.
Poor communication, pot smoking neighbors, loud at night, different property managers, bad smells in apartments. Cheap rent but you get what you pay for.
This property advertises as renovations throughout. The unit I was given was not renovated, smells terribly, is not well insulated or sealed. Allows for insects and noise pollution. Has expectation that if something needs repair you will pay cost IE air conditioning and a high electric bill, water leaks and higher water bill and has no regard for the excessive fees. Prior management gave ill informed costs and can no longer be held accountable to them. Any issue raised defaults as it being “an old property” Do not move here. All rennovations are purely cosmetic.
Pros: 1) Rent is super reasonable for the area. 2) If you call, they usually pick up. 3) The maintenance guys are really nice. Cons: 1) Lots of turnover. During the 2 years I lived here, there were four apartment managers: Hagit, Alma, Dominque, and Christie. During each transition, maintenance tickets got lost. My downstairs heater died in December, and it took over a month to fix. The downstairs toilet broke and it took over two months to fix. I moved out in May, and didn’t get my deposit check until August. If you want something done, don’t submit online and don’t leave a message. Just keep calling and emailing the office until it gets done. 2) The units within each building share air ducts, so if your next door neighbor smokes pot or cooks lasagna, you’ll smell it. And if the next unit over gets painted, you’ll smell paint fumes in your place for days.
