Urban Center Irving is a small commercial district offering plenty of options for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Lake Carolyn rest in the middle of the area, anchoring the neighborhood. Urban Center has a variety of lakeside eateries, retail stores, and apartments offering gorgeous views.
Entertainment options here are endless. They don’t pick up the phone, there unprofessional rude and disrespectful.
Constant Fire alarms, broken garage, stolen packages and don’t even think about getting your deposit back. The office staff lies and nothing has changed. The location is amazing which is why I gave it 1 star but it’s not worth the headache. Save your money, sanity and move somewhere else. You’ve been warned.
It seems like every month something is broken and the hey do nothing to fix it.

Issue after issue without any resolution! this includes a broken garage gate for 5 + months, multiple break ins, malfunctioning fire alarms, stolen packages in mail room and the list goes on. ZRS management is the 3rd company managing this complex in the past 11 months and nothing has changed.

They have more security for their assets than the residents’ property. There is always a broken door that lets everyone into the apartments. While the door is always broken, the office and fitness room are always working to be sure that the apartment is able to meet the standard. Also, then bike room was robbed twice within 6 months and there was no security footage (because they never maintained the cameras). The fire alarms also went off about twice a month. They always “apologized” for the disruption, but never changed anything. TL:DR this is the worst apartment complex I’ve ver lived in.
If you want to listen to fire alarms blazing off at odd hours of the night and see dirt and trash everywhere then move here. Maintenance is poor quality and often you have to wait months for a response. Tenant beware management staff changes constantly.
There are fire alarms and overflowing trash from dumpsters. The trash is visible when entering. I spoke to Management about the issue and discussed a solution. The dumpster trash is seen by visitors and residents weekly.
The fire alarms have gone off about 5 times this weekend. It’s not just short bursts either. It’s 30 minutes at least but a couple instances were over two hours. They’ve been going off even more the past month. The fire alarms have been an issue ever since I moved in a year ago. They keep blaming the plumbing, although management is random about what they blame. Yesterday they said it was too reset the alarms after they went off Friday. Then they said it was a plumbing issue. Also, random stuff breaks constantly like the garage door, and the trash piles up all the time.
The new management company (YourWayManagement) is very unprofessional. Hard to get an answer from their team. The Carolyn was a great apartment until the new management company entered. It is slowly going downhill. Nice apartments, but once you're moved in, the management team is a DISASTER to deal with. You can get a much nicer apartment for a better price along Lake Carolyn Parkway! I recommend viewing others before considering The Carolyn.

I would recommend because The Carolyn is a very nice apartment community with 5-star living. It is very beautiful- clean - quiet. The Office Staff are great. They are very helpful-thoughtful and responsive to any and all questions. Fabio is Great-During the "Black Out" He stopped by the check on us. That meant so much to us. He made very generous offers to help us cope during the disaster and it was not an issue for him. That means a lot to us. As we look at the news and other apartment communities nearby and how they treated and continue to treat their tenants makes us realize how much more we are blessed. We think Fabio is the "Best" he is very busy but he always makes time for us no matter what. Again, his stopping by to check on us was a very big deal. It really - really showed how much he cared. Just can't put a rental price tag on that. Everyone in the office is very kind. They help me no matter how small or quirky my questions / requests are. The housekeeping staff is very kind. The one lady who cleans our hallway is so kind. She held the door for me as I fumbled for my key to lock my apartment door. She has work to do but she took the time to help me. During the storm there was one gentleman spreading salt in the garage. He stopped to make sure we were okay and took a moment to have a brief and thoughtful conversation with us. I am glad that we have the privilege to live here. The storm my a very difficult moment but in that dark moment- the staff at the Carolyn really showed they care about the residents. Please everyone in the office know how much we appreciate each an every one of them. They really make this place feel like home.

The office staff is very attentive. All questions have been answered and immediate action was taken on everything I had a question about. They were very helpful the day our cars were delivered. They helped to place orange cones on the street for the Delivery Truck. I have had a GREAT Experience Living At The Carolyn. It's like living in a Hotel. There is nothing to add This community is GREAT Beautiful Views Beautiful Amenities Great Walking / Running Trail Along The Lake Great view of Lake from the Apartment VERT QUIET-YOU CAN ACTUALLY SLEEP IN

Some unexpected hiccups with moving in with no hot water for 3 days after the lease was signed, and no working dishwasher. Otherwise everything has been great.
I would recommend because the staff is nice, apartment is nice, new, and clean. The location is also really great. Only down size is that it's a little pricey for the square footage you get.
Actions speaks louder than words. I was very persistent in trying to get my apartment with The Carolyn...got approved, everything set for a go, down to movers about to show up...did this twice within 2 months...only reason I didn't move in... making my marriage work was more important. So I definitely would recommend it to friends and family.

Do not stay here until they hire a completely different onsite management company. After 10 voicemails and emails, they STILL do not respond. The only way to reach them is to leave work early and go by the office, where they often hide in the back of the office until they have an appointment to meet with a prospective resident. They had us sign a lease and then waited four days before move-in to tell us they didn’t even have the legal construction permit to rent the apartment. The girl making the calls to tell people they can’t move in on their lease contract’s move-in dates said she wasn’t even told by her manager why the apartments won’t be ready. The manager should be making those calls to future residents or at least telling his employees why they can’t move in on the agreed-upon date. This is poor management and at these prices you should be getting top-notch service. This is unacceptable when you have already given notice to move out at our previous residence. Very unprofessional. The “manager” Fabio is rarely if ever in the office, and all but one of the young women appear to be even halfway trained to manage an apartment complex for the first time. It was a nightmare and a headache trying to get anyone to respond after a dozen tries, so we can only imagine how frustrating it would be to live there and have a problem and try to get help. We would not recommend even considering staying at this place until the owner hires a completely different management company who knows what they are doing, who cares enough to call or email you back, and who won’t cost you 10-15 hours of time and money trying to contact them.
Extreme unprofessionalism, no answered calls, no response to emails. The apartment I leased is the largest 2/2, but what I found out I was getting within weeks of my move is an alternate of the 2/2 that has smaller bedrooms and laundry room. No one advised me of this and I have been forced to find another apartment and now find out that Fabio has stated he will not refund my $425 (app, admin, deposit)....even though this was their error and not mine. There is not one person that I've encountered that has had positive feedback about this property or the staff.
Your people here are great. They make the difference. They made the leasing and move in as painless as possible. The location is great. Only downside was construction's attention to detail. In trying to complete construction here they did a lot of hap-hazard work. Even so, we love our apartment and the staff. We are retired and if we can stay, we plan to. Hope this is our last move. This is a beautiful community. Once construction is completed, it will be a beautiful home.
I love our apartment, the community and the staff. I know the construction takes precedent, but we are not asking for too much to get some things repaired--especially considering we mentioned them upon move in.

I love the apartment, the amenities, and the staff. They are friendly and ready to answer whatever we need, however we have already encountered a few issues since moving in with rodents crawling in the walls and leaking dishwasher damaging the tiles and wood cabinet. It's evident that there are few issues to address at the property. I would not feel comfortable recommending this property at this time.
The staff needs more help. I loved the apts. Except no icemaker on freezer and not gate opening to patio.
I would absolutely recommend this apartment complex for multiple reasons. Besides it being in the hottest spot in Irving TX, the water-way going through Las Colinas is something everyone is dying to have, and this place is being built in the perfect spot, near amazing restaurants and a music venue. Hospitality is immediately provided as well as fair pricing and beautiful floor plans. I will be recommending once I move in to my space and confirm what ive taken from my experience thus far.
