Memorial Park is one of the largest urban green spaces in the country, covering nearly 1,500 acres just 15 minutes from Downtown Houston. The residences of Memorial Park sit on the east side and provide some of the most upscale living outside of the city center. Classic townhomes, contemporary houses, and multilevel apartments are tightly packed on the tree-lined streets in an effort to get a view of the grounds.
Proximity to the park doesn’t mean this neighborhood is without its entertainment. Washington Ave. and Westcott St. have an eclectic collection of cafes and bars for all to enjoy. More maintenance staff is needed I was frustrated it took a week for my AC to be completely fixed but David was patient and kept trying to fix it throughout the week. David is great and does an amazing job but needs additional support.
Lot of issues popping up in 2025: Dirty pool - closed for two months +. Coffee machine you see in amenities has been taken out. Elevators are broken. Carpets smell like pet urine. There is no management on site lol - everything is handled by an offsite team.

We're truly sorry to hear about your less than satisfactory experience, and we appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. Assuring that all facilities are in top shape is a high priority for us and we'll ensure this feedback is addressed immediately with our maintenance team.
We've only lived here for six months but have noticed a real decline in amenities. The pool hasn't been cleaned once and is full of algae. There are broken and loose floor tiles in the elevator which create a trip hazard. We've been promised a new coffee maker for the community room since moving in which has never materialized. Garbage bags are constantly left in the hallways overnight despite the policy that they can't be placed there until the morning. The employees in the front office are great and doing their best; it's not their fault but definitely is the fault of those who benefit from our rent check. We are considering not renewing our lease when it ends.
New Management Is Not Great When I first moved in, our previous management team was wonderful. The building was well maintained and clean. The new onsite team has let this place fall apart. Trash cans are always overflowing, elevators and gates break and had not previously, the pool is dirty and there is not great furniture any more. Not sure why these easy items are no longer being handled by the onsite team. I used to see maintenance every day and now I have not seen them in months. It's a great building in a great location. I wish they would start taking care of the building.
Staffing is half of needed Hi Been here going on 2 yrs. Only 1 in office and 1 david in maintenance My ac is not working and david has tried but has lots to do Neighbors say the pool and hot tub is looking dirty of late Why have you not had the same staffing as last year Morale in the building is dropping and will lead to non renewals We have been promised return of coffee for months with no follow thru I work at a club and used to recommend the place Please do better Give the staff more help and address issues above
Visiting 6 complexes and picked Sunrise. Celia was very helpful and informative. Loved the location and units. Smaller complex but hoping will be a plus.

Oh my goodness, apartment hopping has been my thing for a while now, but let me tell you, Sunrise by the Park is a whole different ballgame! From the second I walked into that lobby, I was like, "Whoa, this is fancy!" It felt like home right away. The apartments themselves are just dreamy. They're modern, they're huge, and everything is so clean and shiny. My place has this amazing open layout that's perfect for having friends over. And the amenities? Top-notch! The gym is so awesome, it actually makes me want to work out. And the pool area? Oh. My. Gosh. Not only is the pool sparkling and refreshing, but they have a spacious hot tub to soak in after a long day. Plus, there are big screen TVs all around, so you can catch the game or your favorite show while you relax. And if you get hungry, they even have a fantastic cooking range right there! It's like a resort! The staff here are seriously the best. They're always so helpful and friendly. But the real magic of Sunrise by the Park is the community vibe. Everyone is so warm and welcoming. It's like a little family! And you know what's even better? The rent prices are super competitive for all this luxury! It's like they're giving away a five-star experience! So, if you're hunting for a place that's luxurious, convenient, and full of awesome people, look no further. Sunrise by the Park is the place to be! Trust me, you won't regret it. There is a serious roach issue here. I believe there’s an infestation in the walls or carpet. The neighborhood is nice and very safe with no breakins. But the elevator breaks down every other week and sometimes even the front door. I have been locked out cause their system didn’t work. Also the amount they charge isn’t worth it for such an old complex just cause the location. So many other options!
Incompetence is putting their management lightly. I have documented elevator break downs, gate access, and garage door access throughout my time here. On top of this, we haven't had access to the pool in a full month with no end in sight. They are completely incompetent, but they have 0 consequences. 20+ tenants were locked out of the entire complex because their systems broke down and we couldn't enter our own complex. The only reason we got in was due to a hero kicking a door so hard that the lock failed. Do yourself a favor and avoid them.
