Summer Gate needs to work on their communication.. they have a tendency to turn off the water at random hours, without notice. Also, they will change your mailbox lock without notice. They have poor communication with their residents.
This property is very good, I don't have any complaints. I really like the area and how central it is from everything for me.

Property is quiet and well kept, staff is amazing I've been a resident since Covid first started and I was so pleased how the staff donated food, gave away mask and cleaning supplies. I've been renting for a long time and I've never received anything from the apartments staff. Kita is awesome.

ive been here since november 2020 its been cool. the people in the front office are nice. ms.christy is very helpful. i love the size of my place. its a nice place to move its by all the things you would need. its very quiet as well.

I absolutely love the property. My lease is up and I’m renewing.. there’s no place like home. The apartments are well keep up to date .... only thing I hate is the change in trash fee and carport fee but hey overall this is the best

I enjoy living here because it is a well-maintained community and because of the great location which is close to just about everywhere I want get to in Irving and the surrounding Dallas metroplex. Kita in the office is always helpful as well as the maintenance staff when any issues arise that need to be taken care of quickly.
I am extremely pleased with my apartment home and the staff at Summer Gate they are very helpful and Maintenance tech Gary is always helpful. I have been living here for 3 years now and I don't plan on moving anytime soon. Nice community I would recommend anyone to stay here

I have been living here since September of 2018 I am coming up on a year I will be renewing my lease. I have been more than satisfied with the community and the office staff. The community is always nice and clean the pool area is beautiful and well kept. I highly recommended anyone looking to move to the Irving area to stop by and take a tour.
I’ve been staying here at Summer Gate for almost 3 years i love it here at Summer Gate the Maintenance staff are great they come as soon as you need something fixed and the office staff are so nice they call to make sure your work order is completed which I think is wonderful I do see myself staying here for a long time as long as things stay the same they can count on me to renew every year. ??

This is by fair the worst place to reside. Communication to this complex means nothing. The complex has a website that works to their convenience, anything to do with a payment they will jump all over you and leave reminders on your door to remind you every month that if payment is late after the 10th its an eviction. But when it comes to a maintenance issue communication horrible. I put a request in and after 3 days of waiting for light replacements and cabinet issues. I had to go into the office and then the lady informed me that the website isn't sending them the request. (You would think it would be something they'd jump on...NOT) Also the apartment mailboxes got broke into. (How, I have no clue) Instead of informing the residents they waited for people to get worried and come in and ask about "their mail" to be informed that its at the post office. The respond we get from the clerk is "I live here as well so I know what your going through"(.....hmm ok so are you not speaking up or you keeping quiet to get your paycheck?)And now that they've fixed it no one has been informed that they don't have to travel to the post office, wait in line for 10 minutes, get to the clerk to find out "oh hey your mailboxes are fixed". To save you the headache DO NOT live here. I normally give people and companies the benefit of the doubt because they do a lot. But these apartments will never get my money again. It's very frustrating!!! If I could give them less than 1 star I WOULD!!!!!
If I could give 0 stars I would... my husband and I moved in feb of 2016... since weve moved in we've had several leaks in our wall... we can no longer use our washer and dryer hook ups because they refuse to fix the leak in our wall... they're stealing our mail... post office says it was delivered management of the apartments say they never got the packages and today I came home to yet again my apartment being entered without my or my husbands permission... no notice that anyone was coming or that they were going to be there at all they have had no reason to come in but when I got home our things were astray through out the apartment but he lock was still locked. DO NOT SIGN A LEASE WITH THIS COMPLEX
Lived here for 4 years. Moved out and received notification I would receive $200 deposit by check within 30 days on 5/13/16. Never received the check. The 1 BR apartments are old, very small and only have cosmetic fixes. Very over-priced. It was a reasonable apartment complex when I moved in 4 years ago but has gone down hill and prices have gone up hill. Belt Line Rd is a nightmare from 3pm until 7pm. Be ready to sit in the driveway to get out of the complex. Security gates rarely work. Pool is not always open and shut down by the city 3 times when I lived at the complex. On-site laundry is very small with 2 washing machines and dryers. Always dirty and usually not working. They advertise a playground, there is no playground. If you like hip hop music after midnight, this is the place for you!
Lived here for 4 years. It was a nice complex when I moved in. If you like hearing hip hop music after midnight, this is a place for you! Entering or exiting the complex 3:30pm-6pm is nightmare due to the congestion on Belt Line Rd High rent for very small apartments that are extremely old. Tip: the countertops will ruin the bottom of your laptop. You pay for the many water leaks the complex has on a regular basis. The pool has been shut down by the City at least 3 times and it is not cleaned on a daily basis. No dog walking areas.
nice pool. needs to be cleaned on weekends too. needs more upgrades and landscaping has fell way by the wayside. front landscaping is fine, but past the front forget about it.
