Sharpstown is a diverse urban neighborhood located about 12 miles southwest of Downtown Houston. As one of the first communities in Houston, this historic neighborhood features affordable post-World War II bungalows, modern houses, and chic apartments available for rent. Houston is one of the nation’s most diverse cities and Sharpstown reflects that. As you travel around the neighborhood, you’ll see a variety of street signs and billboards in both English and another foreign language. Sharpstown is also home to Chinatown and the Mahatma Gandhi District, providing residents with a plethora of authentic eateries and international grocery stores. Houston Baptist University and Memorial Herman Southwest Hospital are located in Sharpstown as well. Residents enjoy access to several shopping centers, parks, and small entertainment spots within the community but Sharpstown is also convenient to the Galleria/Uptown Houston, the Texas Medical Center, and Downtown Houston.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on our community. Your review motivates our team to continue delivering the best experience possible for our residents. -The Sterling Point Team
Very sloppy and rude employees when you tell the issue, they say "ok", "we are fix it right away" but they totally forget it when you step out and on top of it, they use their phones when you step back in. I won't say the worst maintenance cut it also belongs to management. So no management, no maintenance, no security, no work, no good environment.

I live at Sterling Point Apartments, I am being told that my rent will increase, I don't understand this as the property has been in a steady state of decline over the 3 1/2 years since I have been here as a renter who pays rent early every month. This property has elevators that have been nonworking for over a year, an exit gate near my apartment closed permanently, pot wholes everywhere in the driveways, shaky loose stairwells, my breezeway had a hole in a wall for several months, balconies full of trash that are not being enforced to keep clean. I have killed over 40 mice in the time that I have been here, and am told by the manager that Houston has a mouse problem. I count at least 25 feral cats on property who have babies on a regular basis.
Stay here and swat roaches and choke mice if you want to. Maintenance entered my apartment and removed two mice from my kitchen this week (2019) and left a note about the bloody encounter on my counter. We wiped the blood up from the floor and ordered takeout that night. Currently looking for another place. Take the chance if you want to. I've got pics to prove it!
Just moved in to a 2x2 unit and i am in live with my floorplan!!! Its perfect for me n my two girls!! The location i live since im in fromt of the pool!! Manager helped me out with all my concerns and the leasing agent aaron helped me make the process easy and fast!! I got a goo special since i was in a difficult situation due to lossing everything in the hurricane. Couldnt be more grateful!! Defy recommend if you need a good place!!
I have lived at Sterling Point for 3 months now and I must say it has turned out to be good so far. I had a few issues with my apartment and turned in work orders and to my surprise they were taken car of within the hour. I received a follow up call from the Leasing Manager Levi to ensure I was satisfied with the work done in my apartment. They are an A in my book.
Hi, good afternoon everyone has me in my staff I do not recommend this apartment so when I enter I live with my fiance the first month I had problems in the ceiling of the bedroom the second month we already had pest slogans of mice like Rats them Ivan has put poison for that but they did not cover and apart they Ivan when they wanted after meces the problem was still bigger after I got pregnant and I started to have very strong infections and I did not say the problem of the rats so that the Apartment did not have problems they did nothing to the point ke the health of my baby and mine were at risk I had to go out for ke and the rats passed above me and I have evidence think how well is not a good place to live and The Manager does not give the face always takes excuses to not attend and the staff is very bad both the cleaning employees and the secretaries with the exception of Miss Gaby she is very kind and is the only ke Well their work out there for me those people do not serve and if they have a problem and solve anything they get lawyers no matter what their immigration status I tell them in truth
When I moved in the first thing I noticed is how poorly repairs are done. It is quite obvious how bad the damage was before the repair. Cabinet doors don't close properly and drawers are off kilter. No padding under the carpet and a loose tile under the carpet. AC vents not cleaned. One bedroom window has no locks. Weather stripping needs replacing. The property in general needs major work. Walk ways on second and third floors are severely cracked and not level. Rotting siding and loose rain gutters on some buildings. Elevators are severely out dated and need serious repair. There is more i can point out but I think this says a lot.
My First Apartment Seemed like the best apt ever! Then came the problems first the wall in my room started leaking from the top Not just from the side of the room but from the closet too. They cane by a week after & fixed it. Later like 2 Months Later the roof started leaking in the living room, they came by supposedly fixed it but just painted over it. RAIN stop so no leaking for a few months. Maybe about 5 Months in Our A/C Started leaking walked into the restroom at night to get my socks socked in water. Took them about 2 Weeks to fixed it.
This place (the addition) needs to be torn down and rebuilt or at least remodeled. There was water damage in the apartment we were staying in, which was evident when we moved in by the swollen particle board cabinets in the bathroom and kitchen. They rarely have pest control come out even when asked. The neighbors leave trash in the stairwell, on walkways, or they throw it down the stairs. They let their pets relieve or vacate themselves in front of your front door or in the middle of the walkway without cleaning it up. They let their children tap and bang on windows and doors of their neighbors apartments without supervision or disregard to the neighbors. The pool is hardly ever clean. There is food, clothes, cans, bottle, etc. in it on any given day. The maintenance staff do what they can. The security is lacking and the controlled entry is a joke.. the gates are usually broken and left open so anyone can get in. The office staff is polite but unconcerned, it's basically "in one ear and out the other" unless you literally hound them about it.
Rude employees.. Arrogant management.Had a pest problem and after 4 1/2 months and $300 later my apt. Is pest free now I can live the rest of this month pest free now that my contract expires in a few weeks...I do not recommend this property at all
