Property Ratings at Sonoma Apartments
I have lived at "luxury apartments" in the past and let me say, I have enjoyed my stay here way better! It's a small community so everyone kind of knows each other and it's usually quiet. Pros: **big plus, this apartment is a great place to raise a family! You have the elementary school right across the street that makes it so easy and conveniant -There is a playground and picnic area for kids, dog park in the back. -Maintenance people are respectful -the manager has always been very kind. -Right by the beltway and 249 (makes it super easy to get around) -No roach or pests problem. Cons: -It's not in the best area. Some of the apartment complexes on the other side of the metro area are high crime. But the actual street that it's on is very quiet. They also always have the security fence. -Heavy trash doesn't come by often, so sometimes you will see furniture by the trash for weeks. -Pool is not always open. Not the cleanest in my opinion. So overall, there are some areas of improvement, but I feel safe, it's fairly quiet and it's the first aparmtent complex I've stayed in that actually feels like a community.
I lived here for 1 year and by 3rd month of living there I wanted to move out! The office people are so rude, they let themselves inside your apartment without telling you! They leave before office is supposed to close! Website says open Saturday but they are to lazy to work on Saturday, never answer their phone! Wait weeks for them to fix something! Website says there is a tennis court but there ain't, pool was only opened for one weekend then never opened again! Bugs all inside the apartments but they supposedly have people to exterminate but I never seen him!! Over all my experience here as a first time apartment renter was horrible! I would not recommend these apartments to any of my friends or family, and I'm so happy I moved to a better apartment!
office closes before business hours and they never answer the phone they lie to you about things being fixed we have been without hot water for weeks Trash is running over the dumpster weekly
They are a fair apartment complex. You can find tenants there that have lived there 10 years as well as people that move in and out every day. The complex does not however follow the 2/unit rule, You can find tenants who have up to 10 people in a studio unit, just as how you can find tenants who live 1 per unit. They are definitely not strict about this. Maintenance is ok, but I have had on occasions our AC break down and they took several days to fix it. When we moved in I switched the electricity to our name and for some reason we still did not have electricity. I called several times, left voicemails, and sent emails...but no response. Three days later it was fixed. and about 5 days after that someone responded to my email. ;p This complex is effeminately to save money, I'm going to school and the rent is fair, overall right now there is no other place I would go to in order to pay for school.
