Scotland Yard Apartments offers a peaceful living environment with a convenient location. The community is generally well-maintained, and the move-in process was smooth. While I did encounter a few maintenance issues shortly after moving in—such as a malfunctioning AC, a patio door that doesn't close properly, and loose kitchen drawers—the management was receptive to my concerns. With a bit more attention to pre-move-in inspections and quicker maintenance response times, the overall living experience could be greatly enhanced. I appreciate the potential this community has and look forward to seeing continued improvements.

I now totally regret signing another year's lease. I'm so disappointed with how my lease renewal went that involved deceptive tactics and very poor ethics. I was told that August rent would be adjusted from the month-to-month rate to the new rate if I signed a renewal that same day, and to be sure to pay the rent before the next day to prevent any late fees, cool. I was in the office when the manager was called about the adjustment and was told to give it about an hour to reflect online. I continuously checked throughout the day at random up until 11:30p, and there was never an adjustment made. I had to go ahead and pay the $400+ extra rent because I didn't want to also have to pay a 10% late fee on top of that rate. Then, how is it that I've been here a year and have NEVER had a water bill more than $50, but suddenly it's over $120? I don't have a W/D, don't believe in using a dishwasher, and have water delivery service, and nothing has changed so why the sudden increase. The process for renewal was a storm of confusing miscommunication. May 23rd got an email that it's time to renew and had rates and a special. It said to complete the attached form and take it to the office. There wasn't a form attached the email, just a Memorial Day flyer. So I called and asked what did I need to do. I was told nothing because the lady was keeping a list and hadnt started on putting the renewals together but would notify those on the list when she did, cool. I hate I didn't get a name, but lesson learned. Time goes by, and mind you, I check my emails multiple times throughout the day, especially when I'm expecting something. I figured since my lease is up on the 18th, maybe I'd hear from the office with the renewal to sign around that time, no biggie. July 31st I get an email saying my lease is expiring soon and that I'd be put on a month-to-month rate until I signed a renewal or provided a 60-day notice to vacate. I've tried to call the office multiple times throughout the day every single day since then, but keep getting the voicemail. I finally got ahold of someone on the 2nd and explained my confusion and the different information on the balance due in the emails I've received. Saturday morning I went to the office to try to get things figured out and situated. Aryani, whom helped me the day before, was really good at handing things and communicating. I learned that there are 3 different websites to use for different things and not all the information will match.

Very bad experience. The apartment was not handed to me on the date which I have requested for. I had to wait for 10 days to get the apartment keys. No home tour prior to the move-in. Apartment was not cleaned properly. It has roaches all over the place. The roads are very bad inside the community. There a lots of pot holes and ditches. I had to replace my whole wheel due to the ditch. Over All very bad experience. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Scotland yard is a nice apartment community located within 10-15 minutes of downtown. Its very affordable being within the loop and a great option for those looking to still be near the city.

my family and i are very grateful to be living here at Scotland Yard. We’ve been here for about 2 years and so far no complaints. The staff is absolutely amazing and very understanding. I def would recommend others to make Scotland Yard their home .

Scotland Yard is a nice place to stay in the Medical Center. It's quite and the maintenance team do their very best to keep the complex nice and clean. You have access to the train commute, the bus transit commute. Hermann Park near by. Distance from the Medical Hospitals.

I have moved here for school. The application process was easy. I never toured the property as I am not from Houston, but it did not disappoint. It's a modest place, but what can you expect from a 40-something-year-old property? I'm sure with a paint job it will look better. In the meantime, I feel comfortable here, and I have everything I need. The staff is nice and polite; they always receive you with a smile.

Overall I have enjoyed these past 3 years. There have been a few issues with car break in, but there is a security guard. I wish my fellow residents would be more considerate of others. Most of the negative things are at any apartment complex you live at. I like the whole maintenance team and I have had no issues with the front office. They have always been straight with me and they treat everyone fair. I would have left this place if I didn't like it......

Great location for me, and about to start my 4th year here. The front office staff And the maintenance team are easy and great to deal with. Professional and friendly. The apartment is really nice and has a fire place too. So you will never have to freeze....

Scotland Yard is a pretty good place to live. The office does an outstanding job on communications to tenants. Maintenance has a really nice turnaround, and I love how there's a followup call to check satisfaction.

Scotland Yard is the perfect location for University/College students as it is within a 15min drive to Rice Uni, UH, HCC Central & many more. Also, my move in & leasing experience was smooth & the staff was very helpful!

So far my move in experience has been the best one yet. I’m loving my new apartment. It is a huge improvement from the last place I lived in. The neighbors are much more peaceful, and management is always available to help. There’s an actual security guard at the entrance every night doing their job, something my other complex lacked in (car break-ins).

All apartment complexes have their issues. Other than the noise at the pool, very annoying, I am very pleased at my choice to live here. Also, thanks for the information and transperancy from management concerning our home.

With the exception of the old lackluster appliances and plumbing. It really is a great place to stay. convenient and quiet close the major events and transportation.
