A wonderfully smooth move-in process with Platform. I was able to do in an afternoon what usually takes a whole day when moving to a new building. My apartment was cleaned thoroughly and I had no issues coordinating with the leasing office.

Starting my third year as a resident here, I’m still so thrilled with my unit but getting increasingly disappointed with the community. My concerns of late are: - access to amenities, the pool hours are very limiting. Considering the state only allows pools to be open Mem day-labor day, the hours should be extended. - the garage door between buildings 3 and 4 is broken more often than not. - there needs to be more mirrors for safety in the garage. While you can’t control peoples driving, at least those of us who want to be safe, have the chance - The package room is a disaster a majority of the week - the main pool needs more umbrellas, and the ones that are there are broken. All in all, you get a beautiful apartment here at platform and the neighbors are generally fine. But it’s frustrating paying such a high premium when many issues aren’t addressed.

Overall great community to live in. The leasing office is bad at communicating with residents. The maintenance staff is great. I have lived in Platform for 3 years and just renewed for another year. The rent was increased along with monthly parking fees which was annoying. We had a leak in our kitchen ceiling this winter from ice accumulating and melting on the roof. It was an eye sore for several months but it was eventually fixed and drywall repaired.

While I love my apartment, I am frustrated by the poor etiquette of the community members. Trash not placed into the chute, trash/smell of cigarettes in the elevators, driving through the parking lot like they are in Nascar (kids live here!), slamming weights at the gym. It is disheartening knowing how much I pay for my place. I'm worried to see how much people ruin the pool this summer. I would like to see more repercussions for community members blatantly disregarding community guidelines or social etiquette.

All the apps and different emails that are used to communicate to stay here is so annoying. It makes communicating and advertising difficult and as a result fewer people will take part in communicating due to the announce. There is this stupid site, there is the residence experience app, I seem to get emails from three different emails and now I don’t even know how to respond to an email because out of the three only one reaches the office and I don’t know which one it is. Then you guys want to raise rent so I’m paying to be in this difficult and useless communication system.

Just moved in but the apartment is great. Walls are a little thin and sometimes you can hear your neighbors, but other than that no complaints. Clean, updated, quiet community with a lot of amenity offerings like a nice pool and great gym.

Very nice community with people from all ages, and they have a very responsive team. The apartments are new. The only caveat is that coffee machine is down half of the time.

Good overall living situation. A bit noisier than expected and the coffee and seltzer machines are down often. People are pretty friendly and the unit common areas are kept in pristine condition

I’ve really enjoyed living at Platform Apartments! The staff here are incredibly friendly and always communicate well, which makes a big difference. They also host fun and interactive games and events to keep the residents engaged—such a nice touch! The location is fantastic, with stores just a short walk away and the metro only about 7 minutes walking distance—super convenient for commuting. My only minor complaint is that the building isn’t very soundproof, so I can hear my surroundings at times. Fortunately, my neighbors are respectful, so it hasn’t been an issue for me. Overall, this is a great place to live!

So far everything is pretty great. It’s quite for the most part, there’s actual community it not just a complex. I do dislike how hard some of the neighbors slam their doors, it can be annoying. But outside of that I’ve had no issues.

The Platform is a great community! The leasing/management staff has been very friendly and maintenance has been prompt in responding to any of our needs. The amenities are very well maintained and residents have respect for the areas. It's also a nice touch that there are resident events fairly frequently. Additionally, we love the neighborhood and is well within walking distance to King Street for all the community events. The only downside is the noise. It's not too bad considering you're right next to the metro and train tracks, but you certainly hear them depending on your unit location. We have not had anyone living above us at the time of this review but our we do not hear our neighbors next to us much. Overall would highly recommend this community!

I have lived at Platform Alexandria for 3 years now and have loved my experience. The front office is very friendly, maintenance is quick to resolve requests, and my apartment has been comfortable. The staff plan fun events throughout every month, many of which I have attended. The staff have provided me opportunities to meet other residents and have been great to get to know.

Amenities are good and maintenance is great. Apartments upon looking are nice. There are issues in the build of the apartments. Walls crack HORRIBLY and we have had issues with ants and fruit flies throughout the season. The floors are like paper and we’ve gotten complains from our downstairs neighbors just by walking. We can’t live normally or walk normally in our own home. Our neighbors have the same issue. These have been the biggest issues living here, especially with the price point of what we pay to live here. Overall though we’re satisfied

Our resident experience has been absolutely fantastic! The management team is always friendly, responsive, and quick to address any questions or requests. The property itself is clean, well-maintained, and provides a comfortable living environment. The shared spaces are beautifully kept and create great opportunities for residents to connect with each other. We’ve loved living here since 2021. Maintenance has always been extremely fast to resolve any issues. We would love to rate it 5 stars but the building continues to have security issues especially with the garage door being broken often.

My first year was amazing! Incredibly clean, good tenants. This year feels different, sadly. The elevators are often dirty, the package room is a mess. Tenants don’t feel like they’ve been vetted.

I enjoy living at Platform! It is a prime location with great staff, nicely appointed apartments with stellar views from most apartments. Close to airport, metro, shops, and nightlife. Love the dog friendly atmosphere, coworking spaces and clean buildings. Pretty quiet and lowkey but has nice events to get you out of the house!

I made a review in June on a separate forum detailing a less-than-stellar time with Platform as I approach three years as a tenant. Platform recommended I call their office if I had any problems. On two occasions, I have called their number and never received a call back. The first occurred after a downstairs neighbor was slamming doors in the early morning hours, forcing an all-nighter. The second instance happened after a fire alarm went off in my building during business hours. Not only did I call the office, but another resident and myself went to the office shortly after 9 a.m. only to find the lights were off and the door was locked. Furthermore, my upstairs neighbor continues to stomp at all hours of the day, despite Platform being aware of the matter. I have given up on Platform addressing this situation because, frankly, I doubt they care. I haven't even gotten to how service crews damaged a door frame and pestered me about following one of them on Spotify.

Overpriced units and parking. Better specials for renewals. More monthly events. Better patrol of garage parking in towing unauthorized cars. Better monitoring of 2 hour parking between buildings and towing enforced. Stop overnight parking w/o permit in front of building 4 and between buildings 3 and 4. Overnight concierge do more than fall asleep and glued to computer. Get up walk around. Identify infractions and place warnings or call towing.

The acoustics is horrible; from hearing when your neighbors snoring, heavy walking, sneezing, talking and urinating. The amenities, community activities, walking distance to shopping, train station and close access to interstate is a plus.
