Franconia is a neighborhood in southwest Alexandria just a few miles from Washington, DC. Franconia’s proximity to the Interstate 495 and 85 junction puts this city in an ideal location. The Franconia-Springfield Station, served by the WMATA (also known as the Metro), allows for easy commutes as well. Apartments, houses, condos, and townhouses make up the diverse rental market of Franconia and are priced similarly to rentals in the DC metro area.
The eastern border of Franconia partially encompasses the sprawling Huntley Meadows Park while other scenic parks dot the inside of the neighborhood. Franconia also contains a few restaurants and shopping centers, but a step west of the neighborhood will lead renters to a large cluster of shopping malls off Interstate 94, including Springfield Town Center and the Concord Shopping Center.

I absolutely love it here! Maintenance requests are completed within 24-48 hours every time. Ample free parking and guest lot! I’ve had nothing but great experiences with management. Not only is it gated, but it’s is a great neighbor community and in the back with trails and forest, very safe!
I've lived at Park Place for almost three years. I couldn’t be happier. The office staff are fantastic, the maintenance team are good at responding and even quicker at fixing the problem. It is a beautiful property, great floor plans, great amenities, great area. I couldn’t be happier.

I have been here for 10 months and it is continuing to become worse; I cannot wait for my lease to end. They do not keep the areas clean, light fixtures and sideboards stay broken for months without any attention and is such a huge eye sore. The office accepts packages however so far, three of my packages have been "lost" in their care and they do not take responsibility for it; even when I provide them the slip that they put into my mailbox saying they have a package for me, it some how disappears. I have had ongoing issues with a noisy neighbor and after reporting them several times, no action has come from the apartment management staff. It has resulted in having to file a complaint with the county.
Park Place at Van Dorn What a great place to live. The community is quiet, full of responsible professionals. The apartments are dog friendly, nicely insulated, nice layouts, and great appliances. Additional pros include friendly office staff, quick and professional maintenance staff, metro shuttle, washer dryers in unit, pool, community activities and safety of being gated. The only cons I have is that the community needs another location for trash/recycling and that I would like to add a garage, but I find it to be too expensive and not easily accessible for the ridiculous cost. Only having one trash/recycling center location is not really reasonable for a community this size..... Outside of that, a great place to live and a great walking neighborhood!
Park Place Apartments by Bozzuto are large, upgraded, well-maintained and in a gated community. This complex is one of the only 3 bedroom complexes in the Franconia/Alexandria area. They allow pets and have a specially made dog run. It's very convenient to the 495/95, and the metro is within walking distance. I highly recommend this complex for anyone who wants to live in a stylish, clean and safe area.
A beautiful, gated complex with all the amenities. It's walking distance to the Van Dorn Metro station but there is also a courtesy shuttle that is there to shuttle you off in the AM and pick you up in the PM. Park Place is one of the few, if not the only 3 bedroom apartment complex in Franconia / Kingstowne area. Grounds are beautifully maintained and staff is there to assist you. Gotta love this place
