Glen Allen is a quiet suburban community on the north side of Richmond, roughly ten miles from the city center. The community is primarily composed of residential neighborhoods, with a large shopping center on the northeast corner of town, anchored by the popular Virginia Center Commons. The excellent public schools and low crime rate attract many Richmond-area commuters to Glen Allen, especially those raising families.
A cluster of large parks and golf courses on the south side of town provides excellent opportunities to get outside and enjoy the fresh air and the tranquility of nature, particularly the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. Property Ratings at Metropolis Apartments
I love living in Metropolis because it is in a safe location. Super accessible to Short Pump and the freeways without the traffic noise. I find the studio aparment to be decently sized. One con is that the walls are a bit thin so sometimes I hear my neighbors’ snore or tv/stereo.
Lovely apartment homes with esthtically pleasing landscaping. Most significantly, property manager and assistant manager are beyond excellent in every way and make living at Metropolis like home and family!

Great building and office staff who were friendly. The building was built in 2023 and can definitely tell with the finishing. The halls are huge. The garage opens up to each floor except the 5th i think(not sure).

The apartments are updated and modern. the property itself is kept in great shape and the amenities are amazing. The gym is always clean and not busy, and the pool is wonderful to sit by in the summer. Only downfall is that I can very easily hear my upstairs neighbor walk around during the day

The community is wonderful, the resident events are fun, and my apartment is very comfortable! I have loved living here so far! The only reason I am not giving five stars is that I find the valet trash unnecessary, and they are implementing an additional parking fee soon.

I recently moved into Metropolis, and my experience so far has been excellent. The move-in process was smooth, the staff was very supportive, and the apartment was clean and ready when I arrived. Maintenance requests are handled quickly, and the amenities (gym, garage parking, secure Fobe doorway entries, etc.) make daily life much more convenient. Overall, I feel safe and comfortable here, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new place.

It’s a very nice place to live overall. However, it costs $300 to reserve the main community area, which feels like a steep price. We pay a good amount in rent, yet the virtual golf is almost never working, and the rooftop and game room are often locked after work hours. If we’re paying this much, the amenities should always be available for use. As it stands, if you want to enjoy them, you’ll likely need a remote job and use them while on the clock.

Overall, living here has been good. Close to everything you need, ample parking space, and decently sized units. Downside, the walls are a bit thin. I could hear my neighbor’s dog bark/cry during daytime. Sometimes, I hear my neighbor snore. Management doesn’t respond well through emails, but would communicate via phone calls.

Wonderful place to live! Beautiful apartment homes and landscaping. Great amenities including a fabulous coffee machine. And management, staff, maintenance stellar. Hallway carpets need attention from dog accidents is only are of dissatisfied. Hoping that they'll get to this soon.

This is suppose to be a luxury apartment, but is has so far been a pain to live at. I have made several complaints, but they take so long to "fix" the issue. I had a couple times where I talked to the office about an issue I have and they'll fix it themselves, but then later when I ask them why it hasn't been resolve, they gaslight me that I either haven't brought it up before or I had the wrong idea and I was in the wrong.

I’m going to be completely honest, I’ve lived here for about 9 months and I don’t have a single thing to complain about. I feel safe as a single woman, the amenities are great, and this is an amazing place to live if you also work remotely. It’s really shocking to see a one star review for this place because I haven’t had a single issue since living here, but maybe I’m just lucky. The only thing I will say that I don’t like is how we are required to pay a trash fee every month.

Clean and new! Easy moving process and great amenities. The pool and gym have been great and there are many areas to hangout which as bbqs, tvs, and fire pits!
1- I’ve been living here for a month now and not able to receive mail, yes lost packages, the deposit check from my prior apartment, etc etc this is insane.The mailroom is not setup. 2- When I moved in my apartment wasn’t ready so they put me into a different unit, but I still wasn’t qualified for the 2 months rent free that “new leases” got. 3- Furniture is cheap & not even, countertop is poorly made (this is on me for not paying attention on the tour) 4- Do your homework, plenty good apartments around, this is just not one of them.
