Nestled below a series of rolling hills, Mission-Garin is a charming Bay Area neighborhood. The neighborhood is located beside Garin Regional Park and Dry Creek Pioneer Regional Park, which encompasses nearly 5,000 acres of wilderness. Both of these sprawling natural areas boasts rolling hills, trails, and stellar views of the Bay. On a good day, you might even see roaming cattle and cows grazing! Along with proximity to these parks, residents enjoy Mission-Garin central location. Residents have easy access to other popular cities in the Bay including Fremont, Oakland, and San Francisco. Mission-Garin also neighbors California State University, East Bay so it’s a great choice for renters who want to be close to campus. This scenic neighborhood has housing in every style, including Mediterranean-style single-family houses and modern apartments. Mission-Garin rentals are known for being moderately priced but there are high-end housing options available as well.

Property Ratings at Metro Six55
The management here is actually crazy. They park their personal vehicles in the tenant parking and then threaten to call the police on us when we confront them about it. Very unprofessional and unsafe place to live. I’m worried they’re going to key my car and slash my tires for just asking them to not block my parking.

I’ve lived here for a few years and cannot wait to get out. My husband and I were excited to move here at first due to a shorter work commute. However, it’s not been worth it and we are finally leaving. We should have known when we first moved in and the carpets were left wet and smelled highly of chemicals, assuming from when they cleaned prior to our move-in. Neighbors have been loud and played music at all hours. Packages have been delivered to a bench next to an amazon locker, instead of to our apartment, and were then stolen. There have been multiple instances of car break-ins and even apartment break-ins. Parking is a nightmare. All street parking is Bart parking and there are only a handful of guest spots within the complex. If you’re lucky to get the option to get a second parking spot, it will cost you another $75. We began having a roach problem and reported instantly via phone and email, but the return response was delayed and made the issue spread. The apartment itself is old, although it seems like they’ve tried to renovate in recent years. If you have an inward facing unit, prepare to have your neighbors looking directly in your unit with no way to create privacy other than your blinds. If you try to put any form of privacy on your balcony, you’ll probably find a note on your door with a threat to evict if you don’t take it down. Same with any items on your patio. If they don’t fit the “look” management wants for this place, note on the door. There is not centralized heat or air, which has been one of the biggest issues for us in the past couple of years. Neighbors dogs are barking loudly throughout the day. The cons all outweigh any positives of this place. Not looking forward to the move-out process as I’m sure they’ll find any way to not return our deposit back to us.

This place is not safe! Our motorcycle got stolen there! Neighbors played load music at night! Utility fees are extremely high ( water /sewer / garbage)You will pay for the penalty for garbage very often when other people throw their stuff and overflow the dumpster . They kept increasing the rents for loyalty tenants. And when I found they were charging new tenants at a way lower price they refused to adjust the price for us and said they never do that. Don’t rent from here and glad we moved out !

Like everyone else I thought this place was nice until I got ready to move in. The apartment was infested really bad with roaches. Was given no accommodations for this. Even after the place exterminated there was still a visible sign of roaches. I also felt like the apartment it self prior to move in was not cleaned or expected properly. Would not recommend this place to my worse enemy.
I was a tenant with this property from three years and it had been nothing but a headache. Door and cabinet hinges start to come undone within three months. I spent a whole month in a barely inhabitable situation in which caused by a pipe burst in the ceiling which created a gaping hole in my ceiling. Furniture dislocated to dining and outdoor areas, furniture dirtied, bald floors with concrete exposed. I requested them to give me a courtesy call before the maintenance crew entering for I am a female who lived alone. They failed the simple request miserably. Men walked in without calling countless times while I was still asleep in bed. NO APOLOGY OR COMPENSATION. Lost packages signed by leasing office, constant water outage, hefty utility bills. The last thing was incredulous, and it occurred AFTER my departure with the community. I decided a month before the expiration of my lease that I would be relocating. So, accordingly, I submitted a writing notification that I would no longer remain at the complex after the term. I left some items for them to throw out for I expected to forgo the $500 deposit. A month later, I received a bill for over $1200 with listed descriptions of the service charges, for which of most I concur. But, it listed that I extended my stay for an additional two weeks after my lease and that was where the additional prorated charges stemmed. I vacated the apartment two weeks BEFORE my lease ended and returned my keys and fobs night before the end date. There was no signed documentation noting that I would be remaining for any additional days. The issue is STILL being worked on. I called them and left a message for them this morning (10) and it is now late afternoon with no response.
Metro Six55 is a great community to live. It is right across the street from the BART station and is in a generally safe neighborhood. The only reason why I have to move out is that the rent is too high for me. Otherwise I would stay for a few more years!
The newly renovated apartments here are nice. The staff in the office is very nice and efficient. The older apartments that aren't renovated need renovation, especially the fridges and dishwashers need to be renewed but like I mentioned, that's taken care of in the renovated apartments. The new gym and pool area, as well as the wifi lounge are really nice. When you have any requests they take care of it very fast. It's a good place to live.
Absolutely love this complex! Super spacious, allows pets, very clean, recently renovated, and management is amazing. It's in a prime location not to mention right across the street from bart and less than a 5 minute drive to California State University East Bay.
I'm coming up on the end of a 1 year lease and I would highly recommend this apartment complex. Pros: - very friendly management! It's easy to get in touch and I always feel comfortable popping by or saying "hi" when I see tommores out and about! She's awesome :) - any maintenance issues are taken care of swiftly - the complex is very pet friendly -- it seems like nearly everyone here has pets - most of the other tenants I've talked with have been friendly which is a huge plus - very close to BART, like seriously - the complex was recently remodeled, so my apartment at least was really nice on the inside. Cons: - very expensive! Huge drawback, to be honest. - it's on Tennyson/Dixon which are both a little sketchy (not as sketchy as amador/Jackson and cypress but still not the Hayward hills) - in the 2 bedroom layout, the 2nd bedroom is awkward and small with a weird diaganol wall that makes it hard to arrange furniture
