It is a great place to live, where my older sister and I were raised. It has grown and expanded immensely in the past 15 years, but it brought all types business, making it easy to walk nearby for groceries, electronics, restaurants, and even a library.

It's overall really safe and quiet. There have been a few super loud parties, revving cars who run stop signs. The commute to many places is really short. Target is close by, so are a few grocery stores. there are parks and pools. its pretty cool.

We moved to the area in 2018 and were happy, but feel like it's going downhill. There are lack of any decent restaurants, roads are filled with traffic because there has been no road lane expansion (was planned, but then pulled), crime is on the rise especially in terms of car break-in's, many panhandlers are in the area, and trash is everywhere. Also, in the Berewick area, you will hear airplanes all the time. On a positive note, it's close to Fort Mill, Lake Wylie and other nice areas of Charlotte.

I love how diverse Steele Creek is and I love to see all of the new people joining this community from all over the country. I think it is a very special place due to its proximity to downtown Charlotte and the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. One downside to this beautiful suburb of Charlotte is that the traffic is constantly increasing because of all the new housing in the area. I can tell that this is something that does not turn many people away because the community continues to grow and flourish.
