South Seattle College first opened in 1970 as one of the three colleges that comprise the multi-campus Seattle Colleges district. South provides opportunities for students with diverse needs to meet their educational and career goals through a range of baccalaureate, associate degree, college transfer, certificate, technical and professional, and pre-college programs. Valuing close involvement with the community, South also offers lifelong learning opportunities for the cultural, social, professional, and personal development of the community.
