Golfing locals improve their game at nearby Theodore Wirth Golf Club, while winter sports lovers enjoy snowshoeing and cross-country skiing on its trails when snow falls. Residents in Jordan support the arts, and you can join your neighbors painting murals or building mosaics along the streets. Afterwards, gather together for classic comfort food at the Lowry Cafe or dessert at Olympic Cafe.

The diversity here is amazing if that is something that is important to you. The city also just built a new express bus line down Penn Ave. However, since I've lived here for 3 years I can tell you there are some major downsides. The crime is quite high. Everyweek I hear gunshots in my area, and often people are posting on Nextdoor about theft, break ins and assaults. As a woman I never go outside after dark. There is also a general lack of care for the neighborhood, I often find trash in my yard and my neighbors yards. At night it is quite noisy, I can hear cars drag racing, loud music, or fireworks 5 months a year. At night people also speed through the stop sign by my house and I've witnessed quite a few Tbone accidents from this. I don't have kids so I can't comment on the schools. like how this area is being developed by the city, but I can't take the crime and noise anymore. I am considering moving somewhere else soon.

The jobs here in my area are very minimal and low paying jobs. There are several fast food businesses here that hire anyone who just walks in. There has begun to pop up several new businesses that look promising, but we need to still see the results in a couple years. Because some businesses start good but close within a year or 2.

The Food around here is pretty straight forward as in fast food places and quick order eat restaurants that are small but sell pretty good. There are several chicken restaurants around here that are not the best in quality place to eat but the food is really good. In regards to night life, there is no night life because its dangerous to be out and about at night here.

For drinkers, they have dozens of micro breweries, so it is common to have a lot of local beers on tap. Not a drinker myself, but they are out there if you like that sort of thing. The food around here is in mass variety, and generally always delicious. If you have a type of food you like, minus Filipino cuisine, Minneapolis or surrounding areas have what you want.
