Groveton is a fairly tight-knit area between the 495 corridor and Ft Belvoir VA. There is a strange blend, with pockets of mini mansions next to trailer parks; however, in the 30-odd years I've lived here, on and off, I've not experienced any issues with crime. Close enough to DC/PG County to day-trip to the city or countryside.
