Property Ratings at La Maison River Oaks
I am pleasantly satisfied with my experience so far at La Maison. It’s a mid rise tucked away in upper Kirby. It’s very close to 3 major grocery stores and 3 bus routes. The area actually feels like a neighborhood compared to other apartments I saw. Very clean and huge 1 BR unit!
If some changes are made to make the moving process easier for future residents, then I will have a great review to share. Other than the disorganized mail-room and painful move in experience, this property is great and I am overall enjoying living here so far.
As an 8 year resident, I have always felt safe in my apartment and surroundings. Repairs are done immediately and staff are very polite and friendly. The landscaping is beautiful and well maintained.
There is a huge dog park! Its filled with cute dogs and friendly neighbors. Come join us!
La Maison is the best! Ive been a tenant over 10 years! That says it all!!

The inside of apartments are awesome, the floor plans are welcoming but getting to your home need work. The carpet is soiled and need vacuuming often.

I have lived here for almost eight years and thought it would be only for six months. It really feels like home along with hotel like features, benefits and perks. The location is superb. Walking distance to Whole Foods, Trader Joes HEB, fine dining and my vet is less than a ten minute walk! They say, location, location, location. Regardless, if one is renting or owning? And, this being said by a home owner for more than 30 plus years.

As a 9 year resident of La Maison, I can honestly say we have had a great place to live with an amazing location. Outgrowing our square footage is the reason for our leaving. We have had a wonderful run at La Maison.

I love the elegance of the apartments, the serenity of and access to the courtyards with water elements and greenery, and the old world feel of the community buildings. It is surprisingly quiet with its prime location in the city.
La Maison at River Oaks is the nicest apartment complex in Houston. The Management Staff is excellent. The Maintenance Staff is also top-notch. I feel very safe here. Pets are welcome. This is a big plus. The residents here are all ages. I meet families, couple as well as folks that live alone I have never met another resident that is not a nice, friendly, and courteous to me. I really appreciate that. It is a beautiful complex with lovely grounds. I have a lovely apartment with a small patio. I think of it as my little yard. Having this outside area is very important to me. My guests are really impressed. I am comfortable and pleased to be here.
I love my apartment & location! The staff are eager to help in any situation. It is quiet which is important for me as I work from home 100% of the time. The layout is great & the apartment is beautiful. Only thing I would change is newer appliances.
The manager is great and is working very hard to take care of the needs of the residents. She has worked very hard to make sure the property is taken care of. The maintenance guys are great!
The office staff is extraordinarily accommodating!
Moved into a unit in the fall and the experience has been fine until now. A couple broke into our unit in the middle of the day (captured on video camera) and stole valuables. We notified the concierge while the event was happening, thanks to our video cameras. Upon doing research, looks like La Maison has a history of break ins. Now very concerned about secruity.

I'll only include factual things in this review to be somewhat unbiased. 1. The elevator has been broken for 6 weeks. The other two elevators are often ( once every few days when I use them )out of commission. 2. The door lock broke on a door about two weeks ago. Instead of replacing it they removed it so now anyone can get into that entrance without a final. 3. The gate at the dog park that opens to the street is left open by staff. 4. The building management will not send emails anymore when they sign for packages for you nor do they check that you aren't taking packages from other ppl they just let you into the package room.

I love this apartment complex!!! I was in a time crunch to find a place and with the help of Nestor and Porcha I was completely moved into my apartment the next day, they are AWESOME leasing agents that went above and beyond to help accommodate me. In fact, the entire staff is super friendly and efficient...I have submitted two minor maintenance requests for light bulb changes and they were both fulfilled within the hour!! The apartments feel brand new, the complex is always clean, and they are always hosting fun community activities around the complex. I have lived in a handful of apartment complexes in several different major cities and this is hands down the best one!

La Maison is the worst apartment ever lived! Do not believe the pictures or the room they show you. Leasing office staff are very unfriendly and never care about residents.They try to give you the worst apartment with expensive rent. Floor are paper-thin and noises are loud. Lots of amenities are in poor condition, when we moved in, there is no garbage bin in our unit and leasing office were not responsive about it. They never reply emails and after one year I still did not have a garbage bin, they will not give you one(everyone is expected to get a one) and they just ignore you. Do not live here, ever.

I love living at La Maison. The apartments are lovely. And having too much stuff is no problem. They have storage units for rent!! Lifesaver! The complex is beautiful & friendly. They are very pet friendly. Most of the 1st floor units have large patios. They are in demand with dog owners. I'm a cat person & my fur baby enjoys her balcony. There are fun events every month. There's an excellent fitness center. You can't go wrong living here. You're within walking distance if so many things!!!
