Glen Allen is a quiet suburban community on the north side of Richmond, roughly ten miles from the city center. The community is primarily composed of residential neighborhoods, with a large shopping center on the northeast corner of town, anchored by the popular Virginia Center Commons. The excellent public schools and low crime rate attract many Richmond-area commuters to Glen Allen, especially those raising families.

DO NOT MOVE HERE. PUBLIC POST REGARDING PESTS.

When I first moved in 9 (july 2024) months ago, I had an ant and beetles infestation. I noticed this within a week of moving in and made a maintenance request for pest control services (which you pay an additional free for every month with rent). Their pest control services did nothing to eliminate these pests, so I hired my own. Paid out of my own pocket while still paying monthly for their pest control service for the entire property. I got some relief with the private service. Unfortunately, I ended my private pest service because it became costly. Fast forward to March 2025, I have ANOTHER ant and beetle infestation. I had to message the rental office TWICE to get a response. (Probably too occupied making food trucks and event flyers.) I placed a maintenance request for their pest control service. They told me I would have to wait over 10 days for them to come out, and they would not refund me if I chose to hire my own services to come out sooner. I have considered my place not to be habitable. Especially while I have an invasion of pests, specifically in my bedroom. I am very sure the rental office staff do not go home to this issue. But, I am also very sure that they do not care if their tenants are sharing spaces with pests. If the prior reviews of other tenants don't serve as a warning to avoid this place, let my post serve as a warning to NOT MOVE HERE.

Great place to live with a very friendly staff!

My wife and I recently moved here and we love it so far! We were down to a few places but ended up choosing here because Jordan made our experience so great when we toured. Would recommend this place to anyone moving to the area, they have a great community and make you feel at home. Thanks again to Jordan!

Great place, great amenities

I lived here for a year and signed another year lease because I’ve enjoyed it so much. It’s in a great area and as a single woman I’ve never felt unsafe. The front office is very responsive to resident needs and the community amenities are nice and clean.

Worst aparment service

I moved in 10 days back. The aparment was full of dust, dishwasher was not working, kitchen vent had dust in it. Refrigerator freezing like freezer. Bedroom blind was broken. Inspection was not done before handing it over to us. Worst experience ever.

Noisy

Noisy apartment. Noise is expected in apartment buildings but not to the point that you can't sleep at night because of your neighbors conversations and decision to clean at 2 am. The noise level is definitely not worth the rent, no way!

Thin walls

Walls are super thin. You can hear your neighbors phone conversations and when their closet and bedroom door closes. The apartment is nice, clean and has nice amenities. The location is perfect. It’s not worth the noise though so I can’t wait to move somewhere quieter with more privacy.

The walls are paper thin, I can literally hear my neighbors alarm go off every morning. I can every every step from my upstairs neighbor. Noise in a apartment complex is expected but the fact that I can hear my neighbors full blown conversation, alarm, etc. is ridiculous

I’ve unfortunately have lived here six months and I’m counting down the days until my lease ends. Weird apartment layout, not much “luxury” in the building, parking is terrible and you should run. Noise is to be expected in an apartment building, but when I can hear what my neighbors upstairs say or do and I know exactly when my neighbors next door leave because their dog bars incessantly, that’s an issue. Cheap fixtures and you can tell they went with the cheapest appliances. Parking is a huge issue. Most of the spaces on every single level is reserved for office workers. Yet we pay $100 month for parking. Forget to move your car on a Monday morning because you parked there during the weekend? Too bad, you’re towed. Two stars for proximity to Broad Street and walking trails.

Exceptional in every way!

I absolutely love living here! My husband and I have been here since August of 2021 and it has been fantastic. The staff, maintenance crew, parking, amenities, everything. I have zero complaints and want to live here for years to come!

Innslake is a quiet community in a bustling area. Amenities are great with the exception of the parking situation. This is a place where you pay for the area AND the amenities; so a little on the high side for the size of the units, but fair for the conveniences. Modern feel to the whole area, policies in place to keep everything nice and clean.

This place isn’t even open

Not sure how there are 5 star reviews as this place isn’t even open yet. The move in date keeps getting pushed back and it’s no longer an option as I will be homeless waiting for them. Will not refund hold fee though it does not say non refundable anywhere. Very polite but also unacceptable.

Ive lived in Innslake Place for almost 6 months now and everyone who works here has been nothing but incredible to us! The maintenance team is incredible, I somehow got a sock stuck in my dryer back to back and they were incredible and helped me with it both times even though it was a little insane. When we had some ants (somehow on the 5th floor, so crazy!) they responded within minutes and were incredible, even using ant spray that wouldnt negatively effect my cat! We love it here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for good, modern living with amazing staff!
