Northeast Philadelphia is a large, mostly residential section of the city positioned a few miles outside of Downtown. With its abundance of affordable apartments and rental houses, the “Great Northeast” is a popular area for budget-conscious Philadelphians. The community’s most famous attraction is the Philadelphia Mills, a large outlet shopping center that also houses a major multiplex movie theater.
Dozens of public parks of every size give the locals ample opportunities to get outside and enjoy the fresh air, particularly the huge nature preserve surrounding Pennypack Creek. Convenient access to SEPTA service, Interstate 95, and Northeast Philadelphia Airport make it easy for folks to travel across town or across the country.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Fountain Gardens
I was originally sold on the space I was getting for the price. Unfortunately, rent has gone up as I am in my third year at this property. The people that live here are the best thing about the residence. I find that maintenance can slow to address issues. I had a leaky ceiling for over a month before any actual work was performed to fix it. I simply had to move my valuables as far away as possible. After an instance of a water main break shortly after, the water pressure has suffered. Fountain Gardens does a great job of making you feel special when you are looking to move in, but doesn't do much to keep you. A lot is done for appearances, like mood music in the lobby, but attention could be paid in other areas.
