I have been a resident of the Eliot on 4th for almost 6 years and have been very satisfied with my apartment, the amenities and the staff. I have experienced only a couple of small maintenance issues during that time and those were taken care of promptly and professionally. I have no reason or incentive to think about making a move away from the Eliot on 4th.

Overall I like the building. I would say that there are some parts that I would like to be updated like the gym for example. For the most part it is usually pretty quiet, which I like.

Too soon for a full scope review, but I’m excited about our new apartment. LOVE all the natural lighting, dark cabinets, & bathrooms. Some of the craftsmanship is shoddy throughout the unit, though. Gym could be better but could also be worse. Rooftop is great! Clubhouse is wanting.

I am loving my new apartment here at the Eliot on 4th. I couldn't be happier with my choice for a new place to call home. This location is ideal to utilize the Metro to get to the office. I have many food options within the block for carryout or a newly renovated major grocery store to keep my refrigerator stocked. I just moved in 3 days ago, and because the apartment has so many cabinets and drawers in the kitchen, bedroom closet and bathroom - my personal items have all found a tucked away place so that I can relax and thoroughly enjoy my living space. There is a sweet little sidewalk lighted by string lamps out back that I can view from my balcony, and a gorgeous spring tree blooming right outside of my bedroom window. I'm going to be very happy here.

My wife and I have lived in this apartment building for over two years, and it has been a fantastic experience. The property is modern, well-maintained, and always clean. The amenities are excellent and add so much value to living here—definitely one of the best price points for what you get. In-apartment maintenance repairs are also always swift. I’ve lived at Eliot on 4th for over 4 years now. The building is well maintained, friendly, and in a great location. Maintenance requests are handled by a great team in 24 hours or less, the front desk staff are incredible, and the building’s cleaning crew do a fantastic job. With a metro stop at the end of the block and the wharf only a few minutes away, there’s a lot to do nearby while keeping a residential feel.

7 months in and I can say we are very happy with EO4. The staff is very friendly and the location is great, near a grocery store and a metro station. It feels safe at night, although it can be a bit empty after certain hours. The building is very well built! you can't hear neighbors as much as in other buildings and the street isn't too noisy - which is important for me, as I am very sensitive to noise.

Excellent area right across the street from a grocery store, very close to several restaurants and the amenities of navy yard and the ward but far enough away not to be busy and overwhelming. Friendly and helpful staff and fun events periodically. Would love some extra lighting by the barbecues.

I have lived here over 2 years and I love living here. The community is great, and run by an awesome Team. I always feel safe, and I love the neighborhood. I truly think this building is perfect-great neighborhood, beautiful apartments for fair price! Best pool view in the city too. The only thing it’s missing is a dog washing/blow dry area - we have lots of pets in the building and it could be useful !!

My fav part of living here is the pool. The view is spectacular, the ambiance is nice at night with the lights and the water is maintained often.

I lived at this property for several years, and while the location was convenient and many staff members are super nice and very helpful, at the end my experience was disappointing. There were multiple shootings in and around the building, including at least one "assault with a deadly weapon" inside, which made me feel unsafe. The frequent smell of marijuana that seeped into the apartment was also concerning. The elevators were frequently out of service. The elevator leading to the recycling facility and the garage was constantly unavailable with no communication from the management despite the numerous requests from the tenants. There were several water outages that lasted for days with minimal communication from management. Additionally, I encountered unsanitary conditions, like vomit and dog urine left in the elevator, which wasn’t cleaned up in a timely manner. Another major issue was the third-party electricity billing system, which in addition to the service fee charged residents 50% more than the local utility rate approved by the utility commission. After moving out, I found that the management company tried to add questionable charges to my account.

Eliot on 4th is a good place to live, it has good amenities and great staff! The location is also a plus, just steps from a Safeway and the metro entrance.

Just moved in but so far everyone has been extremely helpful and made the process so easy. The application process was all online and I received emails helping me through every step. The virtual assistant was able to immediately answer the few questions I had.

So grateful to have found Eliot. Every team member I’ve met from the leasing office/concierge has been so kind, the amenities are abundant - working and OPEN (DC hot commodity in the summer being a pool), the apartments themselves feel like you’re coming home to a fancy hotel, & if you have a car parking is *slightly* more affordable than you’d see at surrounding complexes!

I have lived at the Eliot on 4th for just over 5 years and have never had a single complaint. From reception to leasing to back office and maintenance, they get the job done! Living there is easy! Nice, modern apartment living with many floor plans to choose from. The building is well-maintained and very quiet. In my 5 years there, I have never really had a single complaint. There obviously have been some typical maintenance issue that have been resolved quickly and professionally. The property management has been very helpful and considerate my entire 5 years. I would encourage anyone who wants to live in close proximity to the wharf and southwest DC to consider the Eliot on 4th.
