Buckingham is situated in the heart of the city of Richardson, and is only eight miles south of Plano and 15 miles north of Dallas. This neighborhood is the ideal home for commuters or renters looking for small town charm, a family-friendly suburb, and a central location. Buckingham has a lot going for it, including its college town vibe due to its proximity to Richland College.
This active community appreciates Buckingham’s city parks and athletic centers like Richland Park, adjacent to Richland Elementary School. Though Buckingham doesn’t offer many dining and shopping options, there’s a wider selection in Downtown Richardson with a variety of cuisines. For residents who are interested in living near the water, Buckingham is surrounded by several recreational lakes, including Lake Ray Hubbard, Lewisville Lake, and Lavon Lake.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Cutter's Point Apartment Homes
Oh man. There are so many problems in this place to write about. But I will write a few. 1- we requested the leasing to see the unit at least once before our move in date, and the office refused until last minute and then we found out why? 2- we killed about 200 roaches and bugs the first day and still continues till this day. 3- we have no microwave 4- broken shower 5- we complaint about kitchen sink not flashing water, and it's been exactly 10 days and yet no maintenance has showed up. 6- the kitchen is old like probably from the 80s 7- my son and I got sick because of the bug spray we used too much as these roaches are so many. And on and on and on .....

Literally the Best team at this residence! Jacintha is so awesome and sweet. The maintenance is always fast and the job always gets done with no problems .
The management is worse compared to other apartments around the area. They are nor courteous. They change every month and talk differently every time if you over there. Too many unrealistic charges (and it is too many ) which you wouldn't be realized before moving there.
I would absolutely NOT recommend these apartments. We had multiple issues with our apartment, most of which were saftey related problems. After several pleas to the management, we finally had to call the city building inspector to get involved. Even at that point, it still took two weeks, and apparently two fines for them to fix our problems. It's unfortunate because we really enjoyed the neighborhood, but the management is so rude and uncaring, we decided to move elsewhere when our lease came up. I could go on for several more paragraphs, but this was the most significant problem of all. Good luck to any future residents. Too bad our office visits when we lived there did absolutely no good.
Would to have liked to stay but management refused to fix anything without escalation, hot water was shared for building and broke often and took 5 minutes to come out, when taking a shower would flip cold and hot repeatedly, neighbors were inconsiderate with child above us and horseplay all the time, apts refused to do anything, had to call police after months, added new fees to rent bill all the time, can only pay online and charged (changed policy midlease), and finally, went to pick up package in name other than on lease (addressee has to be on lease or mail is returned, changed police midlease) but right address, and was told it hadn't been received, when asked management, and was sitting on a shelf with a note on it to return it to USPS. That was the final straw. Good luck!
The absolute worst place to live. In the summer my apartment is always hot 80° or more. Today the A/C went out and the brought a window unit that doesn't even cool the apartment. It has been 86° all day. This also happened last summer, with a little to no resolution. The offie staff isnt any help at all and change every 3 months. When the a/c does work it smells like mildew coming from the vents. This place is old and over priced.
Leasing office offers very unprofessional service including the manager. For one of a number of things, I had to pay late fee due to the unprofessional and vague instruction and delayed responses. They never help. I was very disappointed.
Avoid at all costs. Run down, over priced, terrible. Management seems to change daily. Employees are constantly being fired. No maintenance or upkeep. Requests for repairs go unanswered. They won't call or respond to online or in person requests for repairs. Then they'll say they did call but "you didn't answer". Even when you prove to them they didn't call you. They constantly add "fees" to your bill. And then they'll tell you that optional amenities "are required" so they can charge you more. Two separate repair men (both have quit) have told me not to stay here. They charge you for "pest control", but have never once sprayed in the last two years. Definitely one of the worst places to live. There are at least three other apartment complexes near by that are far better for less.
If I had know what I know now about this apartment complex, I would not have moved here. The staff is extremely unprofessional, they don't return emails or phone calls. The maintenance is non- existent. I followed the instructions in the move in letter, paid all of my deposits, had the utilities connected in my name on the date requested by the apartment, and when I arrived on my move in date, the apartment was a mess and no where ready for move it. The delay cost me a great deal of money. I requested a credit on the rent for the several days I was not able to live in the apartment and have not yet received any credit. They do not own their mistakes.
I have lived here at Cutters Point for almost 4 years. During these 4 years there have been several changes but the management always has made sure to notify us prior to making any of them. We have only had a couple of maintenance requests and every time the work has been completed within the same day or the next day at the latest. They also keep the entire property very nice and clean! An excellent & very pleasant place to live! :)
